Hey there...anyone here hardcore coupon collectors??? I ran into this one person who had 3 boxes full of grocery coupons...she said once that someone stole her boxes...I bet she even alphabatizes them...She went looking thru her coupons and gave me some to use toward my purchases...I like nice ppl...

Anyone like that here??? My sister is kinda like that but not as hardcore as that one lady I ran into...

Inserts and with the help from a friend

The 4,000 is over a course of 6 months. It slowly adds up.

I would love to collect coupons. I know they save a lot of money, and right now we have to scrape by. We don't get the paper, but I am really thinking about getting it, just so I can get the coupons, from Sunday's paper.

Is there other places you can get coupons? I have seen some that sell them, but I don't see the sense on buying them, when I am trying to save money, make sense? In my area, they don't double anymore, so that is hard also.

My cousin use to save 100's of dollars in grocery's but her children would eat anything. My husband's children is very finiky and won't eat a lot of stuff, so it is worthless to hang on to some coupons cause they just won't eat it. I wished they wouldn't be so finiky in eating. I guess that is what keeps from from collecting them too. It would be nice for the throw away stuff, that is what I call anything not food related.

So glad I found this board!

That's what I would recommend. It's also cheaper than a $1.50 newspaper, you get 100% coupon inserts.

Hope this helps

i always thought that i was bad because i bought a thing to alphabetize my coupons for easy reference, compared to my mom who always kept them in an envelope, but now i pale in comparison to those who have boxes....

I believe MrsHoneybee categorizes coupons by insert date, type (food, personal care, etc.) and expiration date.

The Cheapest and EASIEST way to get coupons is call around to your local stores and Gas stations. The inserts get thrown out and only the papers go back on mondays that aren't sold. Find someone willing to let you go through the inserts on Mondays and take what you want for FREEEEE!

Yes I'm a coupon junkie!

I'm also a coupon junkie I have mine in baseball card sleeves in a zip binder and divided by product types. It's easy because when I get to the frozen foods aisle in the grocery store I can just flip the page to "frozen foods" and all my coupons are easy to see without shuffling through loose coupons in a box.

I also use the binder method for my coupons. I used to use one of those coupon files but I hated thumbing through all of them. With a binder and baseball card holders it is so easy to see what you have and to pull the expired coupons.

I did have tons of coupons until when I turned my back someone took them from my cart. I was standing at the deli counter placing my order when I was finished they were gone! Some people are so low.

Everytime I read comments like that it shocks the hell out of me!! How could someone just walk up and take all the coupons? SHAME on THEM!! I now find myself watching my binder too as if it was my purse. Bad bad people!!!

Binder for me also. Just all around easier for me to deal with.

I'm about like the description of the woman with boxes of coupons LOL
I used to clip just a few but now that i've made a pantry I like to be able to stock up on clearance and sales items especially with 3 boys. I keep the binder on me with the coupon's I use and have the extra's in a shoe box. Guess I'm a bit nutz becuase I keep all my refund info, reciepts and coupons in an access database, easier to keep track. When I worked full time I was in inventory & production control so I'm a good bean counter I guess I needed to find a hobby being home and save money under a tight budget. I have a family of 6 and pets and i've brought down the food & misc budget to about $150 a month. And we eat better now then before my couponing. After doing food rebates a few months and keeping the checks I use that for my shopping deals.

So if you ever need any coupons just ask!
Oh and hi yall, new member been a lurker before this
