i'm not sure if this is already what mrshoneybee does but i don't see a specific thread on it so please forgive me.

are we going to set up some sort of coupon exchange? i know every sunday i go through my coupons and see so many coupons that go "unused" because they're for items i don't get but there must be someone, somewhere who could use these coupons, and vice versa.

thoughts?

This is a great idea, let's get started

What do you want to trade and what are you looking for?

i'm going to need my ads this week, i think i have last week's lying around somewhere. we could do a weekly thread on sunday afternoon's after we've gone through our weekly ads and gone over what we need and whatever specials the stores are offering that week.

That's a good idea, listing the ad dates and coupon insert types (valassis, proctor & gamble, or smart source).

My parents get a couple of newspapers every sunday and has a full basket of coupons. They clip them and rarely use them. Its like a treasure box to me to go over there and sort through the coupons. Should we start something where you list your wants and needs? that way, people like myself who have access to coupons know what to snag for them?

For anyone in the NE Ohio area... The News-Herald sucks for coupons! They usually only have 2pks. and maybe 3 pages it's all advertising hardly any coupons. Now the Plain Dealer is usually LOADED with 3 pks most of the time and 90% are actually coupons not all advertising! It's well worth getting more than one Plain Dealer on Sundays!

Trish, I haven't seen any pampers coupons out lately. I don't have any either. You might wanna call the 800 number on the pampers box and tell em how great they are since your son is allergic to everything else. ASK them to send you some coupons, they will.

Well if we can work out the logistics then we'll probably give it a go.

Since my wife has 4,000+ clipped coupons we'll probably go first.

Let's assume we have 10 participants in the first GottaDeal "coupon train".

How many coupons should we start out with?

What kind of coupons?

What about postage?

What kind of envelope/package do you normally ship these in?

School me please on the do's and dont's of coupon training!

Easy hon. Most people can afford like 2 stamps right??? So you start a train and shove coupons (preagreed upon kinds) in a regular business envelope and send off to the first person on the train. They take out what they want, add more and put in a new regular business envelope and send to the next person. Not rocket science.

The rules are what you make them to be. Like NO coupons with multi buys (ie: $1 off 3 and crap like that), or no coupons under 50¢, or no baby coupons etc........stuff MOST people don't like/can't use. Depends on who is in the train what kind of coupons you'd want. I've been in trains that don't want any cleaning supplies in em. Stuff like that.

I have also purchased the brown legal size envelopes that are much sturdier than plain white envelopes and use them for mailing coupons. If I do use a white envie, I usually tape the corners and flap really good.

I think we'll see how many coupons we can shove into an envelope and put 2 stamps on it.

I'll bet you that our 4,000+ coupon stash is messier than yours.

hehe don't make me bust out the camera...

they are on the desk, in my folder and now I have resorted to putting unclipped inserts in some laundry baskets....

Since its refund day I had to bust out all the reciepts from the last month and find the clipped upc's that I have oh so carefully left in stash drawers and nook & crannies around the house.....

Noticed some things still in the van!

I'm a clean person really I am, just don't light a match in my house atm
