WOW! I am SO Psyched about this! Thanks again Brad. Brad hasn't posted any rules thread yet. I don't know if he plans to or what. I just wanted to stop in and give my thoughts. I hope you all will give your thoughts and ask questions ...or whatever.

The remainder of this post is just thoughts I have. I am just a regular 'ol poster here like everyone else. So, you can take what I say with a grain of salt if you don't agree.

I have been on disability for awhile. I quit smoking, I don't drink, I don't take drugs. I take Surveys. I also participate in research studies. I wanted to share my information with you all here. Brad has graciously given us a forum. I swear, just when I think I have applied to all the survey companies, I find more! Lots and Lots of scams out there. Hopefully this forum will provide a means for us to share our information and help each other out.

I truly believe in being honest when filling out the demographic information. I really hope people don't post about "what information did you post to get in" I have seen more than a couple posts here at GottaDeal where people want advice on how to get around the screening process. That, to me is SO NOT COOL. When someone lies they mess up the end results for the people who need the statistics. They mess up the companies who hire us to take surveys. If they are giving the companies statistics based on lies the companies who hire them Will Stop Hiring Them. Then WE Lose. One less company to pay us for our work. Finally, when someone lies they are taking money out of My Pocket. If you say you are a race other than your own and fill a spot meant for that race, It may be, My Spot you took! I lose money because I couldn't get in, because You Lied! Someone else from that particular race, or income bracket, age etc.. may not get accepted into a survey because the quota for that demographic has been filled. That stinks! It could be My Spot You Stole! So, I get testy about this. Know in advance when signing up for companies you can easily take 20 screening questionnaires and not get in. Oh well, move on and keep taking them. You will get into some. You will earn money. You won't get rich doing this so don't plan on that. You can, however, pick up an extra 2.00, 5.00, 20.00 even 50.00 bucks. Just please don't lie. You mess up a lot of people. Is 20.00 really worth screwing people over? I sure hope not. If you are starving, I will ship you some food.

My personal thoughts on the Pinecone thread....Not cool. From what I understand, members caught posting about it, posting links to banners to sign up, posting ways to cheat the system Are Kicked Out. I have seen posts on other sites from people who were mad that they got kicked off the panel. It Does Happen.

So, what do I think we should do in this forum? Post about survey companies and research projects. On-line jobs for pay. What they pay, how they pay. IF THEY PAY. Some rip people off. Post your experiences with companies. Share the knowledge you have. Share the wealth. I think requesting feedback about particular companies would be good. If you see a new company or new job and don't know anything about them, create a thread asking FEEDBACK REQUESTED ABOUT COMPANY "XYZ" If any of us know something we can give you the low down. Lets keep each other informed of how these companies are treating us. Is a survey up on their boards? Post and tell us! Want us to keep an eye out for a particular research project. Or a particular area that has lots of research projects...Post. I will look while I am "job hunting the net"

So what are your thoughts? What would you like to see happen in this forum? IDEAS IDEAS IDEAS! That's what will make this work for us all!!

I think it was a great idea to separate the survey sites out... I enjoy taking them in my spare time too and look for many new sites that offer good incentives so I think this will help me.

I can appreciate the no refferals rule, but understand the need for clarification.

Brad, thanks for seperating it out... makes it easier to find or avoid as desired.

I thought the same thing today! I stayed home sick from work today and I was either in bed sleeping (catching up on sleep) or on the computer. I told my husband never to let me quit working because I would just be at the computer or in bed!!!!
