Should be interesting to see what the laptop is at 7pm ET.

It says 15.6" screen, 250GB HD, 4GB RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Not too many models on their site match those exact specs and are in-stock and sold by Amazon (and not a 3rd party). I found these two:

They are $599 each now. I thought maybe they'd put a $298 laptop up to match the one in Walmart 's sale, but I seriously doubt they'd put either of these 2 models up at that price, as that would be half off.

It comes with some built-in memory. You can add a hard drive later on if you want. You can still play 99% of games without a hard drive, but you won't be able to do things like download movies, games, etc... because you'll have no place to store them. eBay is a good place to pick up hard drives cheap, especially if you just want the smaller 20GB version.

Anyone else loving these price wars between the various retailers?

First Walmart cut the prices on bestselling books, and Amazon , Target, etc... followed.

Then the same thing happened on Thursday with the top 10 DVD preorders.

Then yesterday Best Buy lowered the price on 2 different 42" HDTVs to $498 to match Walmart 's deal today.

And today, Amazon has the Xbox 360 deal to match Walmart 's deal this morning.

... and this is just the beginning
