for a laptop - not much. it'll have the media application for viewing pics, playing music, etc... you could always add a USB TV tuner card if you wanted to use it as a PVR or something.

Wow this is VERY HOT, great deal on a loaded laptop.

If you have questions regarding Windows Media Center 2005 read this

I bought it!!!! I just can't pass this deal up. They didn't even charge me sales tax at checkout. Might later though??

Just too good of a deal. I don't think I am going to get funding for tuition to the online school. So that is going to be another few months away. Just went ahead and bought it dang it.

Edit: they charged the tax

This really is a good deal. Sure you could get one of the $499 AR specials from the Sunday ads every week, but those usually don't have 512MB RAM, have much slower Celeron processors, integrated less-powerful graphics and don't have the Dell quality.

The only upgrades I might suggest, and this depends on your needs, would be the DVD burner ($59 more), WSXGA+ resolution ($75 more) and/or the 80GB hard drive ($59 more). Because of the coupon, any upgrade also is 40% off

Very nice deal on a laptop with more features than you'd usually find at this price. You gotta love the 15.4" widescreen on a $620 laptop. One of the more tempting deals lately, although it's hard not to wait for another $750 off $1500 to come around.

I think I'll have to replace the windows xp with one my own copies of xp pro. Does this come with the xp media center discs? Maybe I could use it for a media center desktop pc?

Coupon expired. I was actually going to jump on this. I guess that's the price you pay for being productive and staying off the internet for most of a day.

Not to mention the typical $499 Celeron underpowered laptops have $300 rebates!!!

Does this coupon work for anyone else? It appears to be ... dead

Yeah its dead. I was going to wait until later to get it myself. I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it.

I'm going to see how the media center does and also how the screen looks. One of my customers have a insprion 5100 and the screen on it... the resolution was very low.

So am I, people don't realize that this wasn't another typical Dell deal ... this was scorching hot!

A loaded Centrino laptop with 15.4" widescreen LCD and 512MB RAM for under $700 is HOOOOOOOOOT

Maybe not entirely dead. The coupon code doesn't work on ANY notebook in the according pricerange, and that should still be working. I also believe the code went dead for awhile earlier today and came back on.... at least thats what I'm hoping. I was literally MINUTES away from buying it. I had to x out previously(when the code was intact) in order to check up on something else. Sure as hell wish I didn't now.

It might come back. Lets hope so.

Yeah Ross that is what really got me was the 15" wide screen. Plus being able to get a one year warranty on it for that was great.

34% off now isn't that bad, though the shipping thing is gone now too. So it will end up being about 100 more than I could of had yesterday. I wish I could wait for a good deal to come again, but my time is wasting as I'm leaving home at the end of August.
