thru nationalcar.com, i entered coupon code NF1731ODR with pickup at the Eugene airport. a minivan is priced at $396, without taxes. if this doesnt work for you, keep trying!

Are you asking if a minivan is the cheapest? Because a minivan is often the most expensive vehicle they offer (smaller cars are the cheapest).

Also, do you need a minivan, or would an SUV work too?

And finally, can you pick up from the Eugene airport? You almost have to since you want to pick up at 8 pm -- residential locations of Enterprise Rent-A-Car are likely to be closed by that time.

Just to give you an idea of the deals through rentalcarmomma.com that I mentioned above:

Using the discount code of 5009664 from rentalcarmomma.com, you can get that very same minivan from the same National location for $239.36 (before taxes). That's 40% less!

Budget through rentalcarmomma.com would be $296.99 before taxes.

Hertz through rentalcarmomma.com would be $279.44 plus taxes.

Alamo through rentalcarmomma.com would be $269.00 plus taxes.

Looks like Enterprise is the way to go... The taxes can be another $75 on top of the $239.36 rental fee.

so do you think this would be cheaper than trying to set my own price at priceline. I entered a price today and it was declined. I have to wait 24 hours more to enter another price. And is the price with enterprise, is this with taxes or have to add all the taxes on top of that...I really appreciate all the helpyou are giving me. I have searched till I have a headache and haven't seen any codes to put in except with the rental car momma until tonight. thanks so much

Wow a lesson to learn on rental cars insurance. Your private car insurance will cover but lots of things it doesn't cover. Like if car is put in body shop you must pay for the days it is out of service. And so I was scared enough I purchased the insurance from them...Dang...It cost just as much for the insurance as it did for the car!!!! That just doesnt seem right!!! So beware when renting a car to check out coverage.

I use enterprise. Sign up on their website or in person. Try the "weekly rate", or the "weekend rate". It may be less expensive. When you go to pick up you may be able to upgrade for little to no additional cost.

Next time check with your credit card issuer to see if your card includes secondary rental car coverage.

And I was just reading a very good article today about rental car insurance issues. Check out the comments at the end, too.
