How old are the kids? Keep in mind that the PSPgo can connect wirelessly to the internet and some parents have found out too late that their kids were using it to view adult websites and download porn to their consoles. If their older PSPs are working fine I really don't see a need to get them the new one.

One of the main things to keep in mind is that they will not be able to use their old PSP games on the PSPgo; that one is strictly online for buying games. With the DSi they can use regular DS games but no GBA games. If they have the PSP, then they already had the capability to get online; that's not exclusive to the PSPgo...The DSi has the capability as well.

There really isn't that much difference with the PSPgo other than losing the UMD support. Everything has to be downloaded now. I probably wouldn't upgrade at this point. |

My DS PSP broke and I have been waiting to get him one on BF. The new PSP go has since come out but I won't be buying that one since you can't use any of the old PSP games on it. You have to download all the games you want from the Playstation network. Simply for that reason, I will be purchasing the old PSP again.
