The kid wanted to use my husband computer to install drivers and said only 2 of the 3 would load... So then they had to run back to town to grab their lap top ( they forgot ) and make sure the internet actually worked... Your needing to refresh sounds like the DNS may be a bit buggy. I would suggest switching your nameservers to use Google's DNS servers. Here are some good instructions on how to do so.

McAffee probably got on your computer when they "installed" the programs that allow you to connect to their ISP. Sometimes they are useful, sometimes unneeded. Unfortunately, it sounds like you could have done a better job of installing your internet better than the "kids" that work there.
I hope you get it resolved ASAP. I agree with doing it yourself rather than having "their" people do it, I am 100% of the opinion these people are barely trained and generally could care less.
Still working on it. We took the computer to town on Saturday night and everything loaded without a hitch. Came home and tried mine... all failed. Tonight I have only had to refresh every other page. Still can't get hotmail to work and every page has a - Done but with errors on the page.
I'll give the link a try and see what I can find. The " Customer Service " is off for the weekend...

That's kinda ugly. What kind of internet are you running? Cable? DSL?
It could be that when they ran the line and secured it, they may have damaged the line itself.
They came out today and tried to fix it. Don't know if it will stick. Then they say - You need google chrome. Fine. I don't like it much.
I reset Windows to it's original settings and haven't had an issue yet. Well they did trying to load a sight and it wouldn't work on their computer either...
Did they explain why? As far as I know there's no connection specific to a browser, it seems like they have a contract or something and want to push it on you.
Does it seem to work better with Chrome? Have you tried Firefox? It shouldn't matter which browser you are using. I've encountered many "IT" people that try to push their preferences on their clients.

Hotmail will not open on either mine or my husbands computer. I still can't get most of my Windows updates to open.
The internet guy used some program to get into our computer and then had my husband switch to Windows 9. I FINALLY got Chrome to load after finding a back door.

I'm probably known as the local b!tch at our local cable office but I don't take crap from them, everytime I call to report anything I'm told either a) I need a new splitter or b) my equipment is faulty(self owned). If you have the time I suggest you call customer support and request to speak to a technical support manager and wait for however long it takes (or request they call you back within a certain time frame). When you speak to them, I'd request credit back to original date "of service" with immediate action and resolution to your issue as well as a report to what caused the whole mess. I'd also mention how the installers "left" their laptops during install and how long it took (ALL 3 of them). Companies are employing any old person to do jobs they aren't qualified for or don't care to do properly and the end result is they're just wasting consumer time. I'm not sure what the norm in your area is but we usually get a single person at most 2, it sounds to me like it was either 1 employee with buddies or 2 with a friend tagging along on company time.

The kid that worked on MINE the 2nd time, had to call the office and couldn't figure out how to run the uninstall program in the control panel.
The other guy sat there and told me how fast his was running... Ours runs fast BUT you see how my Ebay turned out...
there has to be something wrong, Especially if you were fine before they showed up. It may be the actual line is messed up and maybe their pc is connecting off of something else but it's still their responsibility to correct it (at no cost) since they are the ones that installed it originally and left you with not acceptable connection. If they hadn't of touched your pc's they could argue it wasn't their fault but THEY did it all and have no option but to fix it.
