question have anyone notice the vsmile smartridges on clearance, and the vpocket, leapfrog?? when I was a target yesterday I notice they were more toys with red stickers, but I forgot to look. I was just so excited with the 90%off that I forgot

thanks

Vsmile pockets are not on sale at all. Of the smartridges, only the Noddy game is on clearance. If you mean the Leapster games, which are not compatible with the Vsmile stuff, then the only things I have seen are some of the baby games and at a single store I saw the Letter Factory game on clearance.

I love love love it.. :groovin:

90% off in AZ this morning. I got a bunch of stuff including the last Pop 5 game. Someone had hid it with the regular games and I snatched it up. I also got a beautiful wreath that really doesn't seem all that Christmasy to me. I'll use it year round. They had tons of lights, wrapping paper, tree stands, trees, and boxes. I only ended up spending $13.

I hit the Surprise store again this morning at 8:30. I missed about 2-3 pallets. I stayed for an 1 and a half. I got towels, Mr. Potato Head, Barbies, gift bags and more. I spent about $20. There was a big group of us and everybody was very friendly. We traded and helped each other out. A lady came about 10:00 am and had one of the Barbies in her hands. I didn't think anything of it until I got to my cart and I was missing one...URGH! Of course I said very loudly that someone took my Barbie. One of the other nice ladies chased the lady down but she denied it. One of the other guys gave me his. He was an employee who wasn't on the clock and he was being helpful. I was so frustrated because I have twins and I only grabbed 2 Barbies. I wasn't being greedy like some people. Anyways, I left after that.

I did get a scrapbook set that rang up full price. The lady changed it to 90% off without batting an eye.

90% at 2 stores in Cincinnati, OH this morning -- pretty much stuff left a few hours ago but it was being bought by the cart full. I had about 1 1/2 carts of ornaments, trees, tree skirts, candy etc and it was only $30!!!! I think my favorite score was the large buckets of ornaments that were 18.88 -- and they were only 1.89 -- I almost bought these at full price -- super glad I waited!!

Well, went and shopped, got another cart full LOL 90% off, still alot of stuff left. I got 6 of the 6' trees for $1.99 to put outside and of course silver/red ornaments to decorate them with. Got lots of the big bells for the trees in both silver and red, see a theme going here LOL. I also got another 6' tree (Roosevelt) for $10 for my brother who is moving here and some ornaments for him. I did get some mugs, charger plates, little things but now thinking about it, I forgot a tree skirt, maybe some maybe left tomorrow. I wonder if they will bring some more out, they had set alot of the Global stuff so they had all the stuff on the back walls and one little aisle. No paper plates or items like that which would of been nice but they weren't there at 75% off.....

Seattle area:
Northgate went 90% yesterday sometime (I went at the end of the day after work and there's a lot of cards left and some decorations/wreaths/bags/gift wrap left)
Lynnwood - 90% this morning, they are condensing it down to 2 aisles as we speak. Tree stands, wreathes, cards left.

Side note - Lynnwood toys are at 30% max, while Northgate already has some toys at 50% :)

I wouldnt waste your time they were pretty much empty when I was there last night. What they did have was pretty banged up!

Where were the scrabble & monopoly?? My hubby was waiting in the car so I didnt get a chance to really shop last night.

So, all the toys around here are still 15-30% off I ended up just being the Fisher Price Easy Link Launch pad & my DS2 LOVES it! It will be a big help starting monday when I will be doing my online classes. He wants to "play" on the computer like Mommy! I ended up getting it for 40% off + 2 sets of the keys 50% off. For anyone considering it I would say its a pretty cool toy!

Thanks for the info on SoCo....we won't waste our gas today :)

Went to my local Target and got some 90% off today!!
My best find was a Carter's Christmas bodysuit/pants set for 78 CENTS! :eyepoppin It was not tagged clearance, and was just hanging with the other Carter's JOY stuff :o) I don't have kiddos yet, but I keep a stash of baby items for baby gifts through out the year. :yup: Other items were GC holders, wine bags, tags, wrapping paper, and wire embellishments. I made out, with a soda, for under $7!!!:rwb:

Our store finally went 90% off today, but there wasn't much of anything left. The Littlest Pet Shop advent calendar and My Little Pony tubes were still $6.98. I pointed out to the cashier that they were Christmas, distinctly says Christmas on the packaging and she said, "No." I told her I didn't want them then. She still rung one up and I didn't catch it until after I paid so I went to the customer service desk to get my money back. I asked the lady there about it being Christmas and she also said no. I very nicely told her it states Christmas on the packaging and the one little pony is even wearing a red santa hat, she started laughing and said, "No" again. Oh well, guess I wasn't meant to have them 'cuz I wasn't paying $6.98 ea.

After being disappointed at the Northgate Target in Seattle..
I went to the Marysville/Smokey Point and they had tons.
I got wrapping paper, decor trees, 6 ft tree, a an outside 3 connector stake for the outdoor lights, and many many more little items, including 27 cent hershey kisses bags. and 14 cent andes mints.

I didnt see anything toy wise I wanted for 50% at Northgate and at Marysville it was all still mostly at 30%.

I'm looking for that Disney Vanity for the $14 like someone else.. so if any other Seattle GDealer finds one for the price and doesnt need it.. I will buy it. LOL
Or anything My Little Pony.
Thanks guys

But this is a slow target and all the clearance just lingers around, so hopefully

just got back from a long morning/afternoon at target. Not one roll of paper, boxes, ribbons or bows. Did find the roaster, extension cords, apple cinnamon and sugar cookie bar soap. I found the thomas holiday set everyone has found but it rang up 27.98 and they cashier said she would take another 60% off but it still rang up 14.98-I was puzzled and said no thanks. I'm glad I bought a few things at 75%off the other day or I wouldn't have gotten much this year at all and I live for this day all year.

scored this morning at 90% off - lots of lights, ornaments, the 1.99 6 ft tree and catch this one - 10 of the green storage totes (30 gallon I think?)with red lids for 70 cents a piece and the rubbermade wrap and craft containers for 58 cents!!!! my store never clearanced the storage containers out and all of a sudden they said those are 90% off too so all of us standing there started grabbing and there were no more left in 20 seconds flat. It was comical.

That reminds me, it is worth looking through the boxes if you see a flat cart sitting around with those big Overstock boxes on them. I found a BUNCH of stuff yesterday at the Duarte store. Someone started to take it out and got side-tracked maybe. But they often have Christmas stuff. And don't miss any carts of go-backs. Those often hold gems as well.

90% off in Wichita today! I managed to find a few things, some green candles and potpourri sets for $1.99. These will be great gifts for next year. Those gift wrap sets that were $12.99 there were a ton of those I p/u one of each color scheme. I p/u a couple of the Christmas windmills for outside, I think I am going to take those out to the cemetery next year for decoration. I was bummed about one thing though. I noticed earlier in the week the Trouble and Connect Four travel sets were in toys, so I thought great when they go 90% off I should really score because people won't see them right away. They were all gone.:( I don't know if someone had found them today at the 90% off or if they were discovered at 75%. We did not get there until about 1 1/2 hours after they opened because my son had a BBall game. I still managed to get some good things :D

Just a tip on a good find I found yesterday at Target. I found large bottle of Irish Spring body wash which included two travel size bottles for $1.25. Look for the three pack with the snowflakes on the outside packaging that holds all the bottles together. These were not priced with a clearance tag but scanned for $1.25. I bought three for the price I would have paid for one single size alone.:)

THe lady ringing me up looked at it like I was ripping them off as I got a few for 1.49!!!!! :eyepoppin I"m very excited! They do blend in with the regular baby stuff. Also found some sleepers as well mixed in the regular stuff so keep an eye out if you needed that stuff!!!!

Ha.. We took an SUV, and still couldn't see to change lanes.

We got lucky, found tons of stuff!

I got several of the trouble and connect four games, right as a clerk was sticking up a 90% sign in toys.

Also, a big find was the Cranium Pop games are ringing up 2.49 (90%).

Every time we walked back by, they were restocking!!

Mom had 3 carts full, and I had 2, plus we went back again.

The biggest steal were the stacks of scrapbook paper. 100 sheets each, at 90%, making them .99. (unmarked) But, mom found a whole bundle still shrinkwrapped. She later asked if I thought they would ring up the bundle as one. We went back, and they did! .25 a pack!! I was so proud of her!

I think I did alright but I sure would of loved to gotten some of the household things like Softsoap, paper plates, napkins etc. Our store didn't even have that stuff at 50% off (except some dixie plates I found). Maybe I need to look around abit more in soap area etc. I did see one red tote leave when I got there today but I didn't see those on Monday at 75% off??? I wonder if they were in the reg tote area. Going back tomorrow to get some birthday stuff so might have to see if something comes out of the back like everyone elses LOL

I don't know if this allowed but...I went to the nearest Target to me (an hour away one way)today specifically looking for the V-tech camera and case that was clearanced out to $24.98. Of course, I didn't find one. I have been to the second nearest Target (2 hours away one way) with no luck either. There are no other Targets close to me (over 3 hours away one way).

I was wondering if anyone saw an extra if they would be willing to pick it up for me, and I would pay for you to ship it to me. I have a Paypal account with money waiting so that it would be a secure transaction or could send you a money order from my bank or the post office. I also buy/sell on Yahoo children clothing groups and can have them contact you to let you know that I have always completed transactions so you would feel safe doing this for me. Also if needed I will give you my ebay ID so you can look at my feedback there. Please PM me (so we can work out the details and agree beforehand so don't have a lot of people do this for me when I only need one) and let me know if you would be willing to do this as I am deseperate to get this for my son for his birthday and cannot afford the normal $50 price tag.

Ok I know this is Off topic, but I really didnt want to start a new thread! My SIL works at Walgreens and she said they have the Air Wick Freshmatic (I think thats what they are called) she said they were in the regular isle but they are apple cinnamon and had christmas stuff on the package & they were in the Christmas clearance for $2.99 at our store. Plus they had a $4 off coupon on the package. I dont know if your store will have them for that price (or have the coupoun on the package) but its worth a try if you are at walgreens!

I dont know how to edit posts :(
Hubby just came home with it & it is not Christmas packaging its the regualar package with the unit/spray/ and batteries all included! Sorry

When should we expect toys to go 75%...I have been doing this Target thing for at least 5 years and it always seems like it isn't until Febuary here. Maybe I am remebering wrong and need to mark my calander...lol. Some stuff was already 75% last nigth but marked 30% so I have been very careful to scan everything I want just to make sure of the price.
I looked at the posts from last year... it appears the first person to post that theirs was 75% was on Jan 10th.. I'm in WPB, FL and my post says ours went on Jan 11th so it should be soon..

Not for price adjustment, no. You have to return it and hope it is still there. they only PA for sales, not clearance.

It's YMMV. & Congrats on deal earlier!

I have been able to get the Rubbermaid food storage with the candycanes, ziplock green & red storage & Huggies wipes all for 75% & 90%. It never herts to ask when things ring up full price, the cashiers have just been saying ok & overiding the prices. My luck has been so good I should have tried for the storage bins!LOL

I got lots of great stuff at 90% off in Indy (Eagle creek)! Two small potted trees with lights and decorations - $6.99, a couple sets of light nets, a handful of ornaments, some big gold and red bells and a Parents brand cellphone $.89. I was suprised at the cellphone but it had snowflakes on it and scanned at 90 off. I tried for Thomas but no-go. I feel too guilty doing it anyway so it's probably best I didn't get it. haha!

I wanted some of the Pooh shoes, but they didn't have any. Also got a Spiderman 3 2008 wall calendar for .49. I got 2 yard rakes for $4.98 & $6.98. Then I locked my keys in my van, and had to wait for DH to drive 20 miles to bring me the spare set!:D

PLEASE READ!!

THANKS A MILLION!!!

I will go back to the Target I found mine at tomorrow and if they have one I will pick it up for you. I can always return it if someone else finds one for you first.

I was able to find boys PJ's today for 90% off. They are like 2 sizes too big for DS, but he is wearing them anyways. :) Christmas was almost down to nothing at my store, there were only a few ornament hooks, chrimstmas cards and bows left. I did pick up some cards and some shirt boxes.

I also was able to find the 16 qt roaster, the last one in my store!!! Thanks for posting this, I would have never known that it was 75% off, there were no red stickers at all on it. I also was able to find 2 pairs of womens shoes 50% off, and a pair of leather sneakers 75% off! I was in terrible need of some new shoes, so I feel like I made out like a bandit.

All of this was only 49.00 total! :eyepoppin

We were 90% off today, but not much left - stockings, candy canes, boxes, a few bows. I got a few small candy things to tide the kids over until lunch, a few pairs of christmas earring sets, some ornament hooks and one of the big sets with the wrapping paper and bows and everything in the box. Not too much else. My Target wouldn't change the price on the MLP tubes or the Huggies wipes:(. Also scanned several pajama sets wrapped in the ribbon and a few others and all ringing up at the clearance sticker price, but nothing else. May have to try a different Target next year, but it is about 45 minutes away, so didn't bother this year. Now I know the closer Target to me sucks for Xmas, but oh well. I did get the diaper deal twice this week, though and got several packs of Huggies wipes and a couple packs of the Little Swimmers diapers with the Huggies Target coupons and some Manufacturer coupons. Great deals on these:)!

Just got home from Target in Hickory NC
I purchased
PEACE stocking holder $3 was $30
Window Clings for $.69
Mini Candy Canes $.19

I also got some of the Sterlite containers to carry cakes and pies in. There was a Target team member putting them on a shelf in the 90% aisle and I grabbed all and asked if there were 90 and yes they were supposed to, got to the register and had to go thru a customer service person and a manager to get them for 90. They said the associate told me wrong. My gain there loss. It was there fault to start with.

just came back from round two of perimeter perusing. :) Thanks to all of your advice, I scanned a huge cart of toys just to see which ones would come up lower than they were marked. Got the Vtech camera for $25 (still plenty at Long Gate in Ellicott City, MD if anyone needs them around here), some small Imaginext animals for $3.48 and various other little things. Found a small Pablo from Backyardigans dressed as Santa for $.49. My favorite find was a deluxe Our Generation Back to School Hally doll set that came with a book, extra outfits, accessories, etc for $19.99, lower than marked. There was only one of these and it was hidden way in the back so I hoped it was a good buy - does anyone know if these dolls are usually even around once prices go lower? It was 50% off the normal price so I figured I'd better grab it - it might be worth it just for the clothes that can also fit American Girl dolls (I think!) :) Also scored some cloth snowman placemats for $.39 and a gold large fabric tablecloth that you could barely tell was marked holiday for $.99 - neither of these was there yesterday...
oh and I checked the vanity but it came up only at $41, the marked clearance price! :(

Our store went 90% this morning and I was there when they opened :D Three carts and $75 later I thought I was done! I got the Thomas sets, girl's PJ sets, Just in Case games, Cranium, tons of Christmas, everything but a tree! (I did find a great tree at Home Depot tonight for 75% off) Tonight I decided to go see if they put anything else out and I had a few returns (that I forgot to take) and they were wiped out! So as we were leaving I noticed the Choxie bar end cap and there went the New Year's resolution!!!!! Yep! 90% off and they had TONS!!! I couldn't believe they were still there! So you might want to check your Choxie end cap! Also, on most of the Christmas cards that are left there are coupons for 10 free Kodak prints!

They also took a bunch of toys from 30% to 50% today in between trips.

I found a tube of the My Little Pony things you guys were talking about in the toy aisle. I showed it to hubby and I wasn't going to get them, but he said our dd would like them. I took them up and of course they rang up $6.99. I pointed out the Santa hat and that it said Christmas right on the container. The cashier turned her light on. A girl came over and looked clueless and went away with them. She came back and said just do it for 75%. I said, "But they're Christmas and Christmas is 90%." They seemed totally annoyed, but ended up doing it. I also had a robe box with no label that the girl in the Christmas aisle gave me and said was 19 cents. The cashier was like "the other size is 19 cents." I insisted that the worker in the aisle handed it to me and she told me it was 19 cents!!! The cashier was like, "Maam, maam, it's a different size." I said, "It's 19 cents!" I got the stupid box for 19 cents. At that point, I was kind of just busting chops. It was not the Target I normally shop at and I was annoyed with that store anyway because the cashier gave me back $20 too much change on Friday and when I pointed it out to her, she didn't even say thank you. Rudeness! I was happy to see that the two people behind me both had lots of Christmas stuff (one had the scrapbooking stuff) and it was not ringing up 90%, either. They were both showing off the stuff in their cart and I know full well the cashier was in for another two rounds of haggling. Hahaha! They deserve it since they're so rude at that store! Not at all like the one where I normally shop.

I saw two older ladies buying a 9' fiber optic tree for $35. The only problem is that they had no way to get it in the car with the 3 dogs!!! A guy who helped them in the aisle said we should go in the parking lot and they'll be selling it for $25 because they can't get it home! LOL. I have no use for a 9' tree, although I would have loved a 6' prelit. My kids have been sick so I only stopped briefly on the way home from the doctor on Friday. I never made it into the holiday aisle and found out tonight that Friday was the first day of 90% off. Oh well. I am an online shopper at heart. I take my kids shopping a lot during the day as a social activity, lol. ;)

I forgot to add some of my deals:
bows .19, .29, and .39
ribbon .19 and .29
Cards .49 and .69
V Rocker Gaming Chairs 34.98 (reg. 49.99 - not on sale at our reg. store so we went back to the one we went to on Fri)
Stockings with "A" and "L" for my girls 1.29
Ornament hooks .10

I probably could have found more, but my hubby and daughter were ready to leave.

mini robo pets
barbie in red ballerina outfit
Cranium Pop 5
red, green, gold candle gift sets
Reed Diffuser several different scents
Holiday placemats - found in regular section
Vinyl placemats
Girls holiday shirts located in girls section.

I found all the Christmas CD's in a box. Most were 90% off. I am not sure why these were not displayed. I grabbed a few of them.

Made it to Union and Fairfield NJ Targets. Both were sparse to nil on Xmas stuff. The Fairfield NJ Target did have a LOT of toys (approximately a good 4+aisles. Sadly they are only 30% off. Maybe they will drop to 50% soon?

I ended up picking up a I-Dog Amp'd for $29.44. It's the Pink flower tattoo version. Does anyone know if this is a good price or just regular? It's very cute, but still a bit pricey for what it does....?

Sure wish I had seen this post before I went to my target (45minutes away) yesterday. I saw about 4 just hanging on the rack but didn't want any. Next time I'll think twice and pick some up anyway. I did that with the elmo tmx last year and I was able to find a home for all of the extras I picked up. My coworkers sure did appreciate it. I have a family member going in a couple of days and she'll look to see if there still there and if I get them I will post back on here.

Well, the target in Front royal, Va (in case anyone is near there) has ALOT of toys at 50%
off. I stayed away from that dept, 1. cuz it was extremely crowded, and 2. cuz my kids
do not need anymore toys!
I went to the xmas stuff in the back of the store and was able to get some lights xmas cards for next year and a few other things. (nothing major) I have another target near us, but that one is more crowded than this one, and I just know there is probably nothing left there.
But I may venture out today if I'm feeling up to it.
I was able to get some solar lights (finally) 8pk set for $19.98!
They are the brown wedge solar light set #009110608 Reg. $39.99 sale for $19.98.
Needed them, so I picked up the last 2 boxes they had.
Also picked up a box of classic lantern solar lights (4pk) 009110620 (same price as the other)

I did hit the scrapbooking aisle & found 4 little packs, one rang up .16 & not the others but the cashier said "thats weird" & went ahead & rang them all the same....whoo hoo!! The funny thing is that the one that rang up .16 was originally $1.99 but the others were $3 & up, she paid no attention just rang the cheap one up 4 times!!! That's my only deal but I'll take it!:)

Could be. Some stores ship their clearance out if they have overly expensive rent, for example, or just don't get much movement at higher prices on clearance. They ship it to other Target stores.

that is about what I think the "regular" price will become. It sold for $30-something during Christmas, but they are bringing out the regular I-dogs in a "classic" version for $19.99, which is a drop from the $29.99 where they started. I expect the Amp'd version (which really has much better sound) will move into that $30 price point. My kids got an I-cy last year after much debate about which animal they wanted. It is pretty darned cute.

Bob the Builder Holiday set - in with regular toys for $1.45 - it has a xmas tree in it so asked if it were xmas? she didn't hesitate and took 90% off
Men's Grinch xmas pjs in the mens section $1.99
Scapbook Chipboard ornaments $.99

ACTUALLY none of these rang up 90% off but since they had xmas stuff on them she took off 90%

Hit Target again this morning-

Bob the Builder Holiday set - in with regular toys for $1.45 - it has a xmas tree in it so asked if it were xmas? she didn't hesitate and took 90% off
Men's Grinch xmas pjs in the mens section $1.99
Scapbook Chipboard ornaments $.99

ACTUALLY none of these rang up 90% off but since they had xmas stuff on them she took off 90%

I saw that Bob the Builder set and it was scanning at $14.99. I was going to try and see if they would mark it down but I was not in the mood to argue the point. They also had Holiday hot wheels regulary $4.99 with a clearance tag for $2.48. The package had Santa in a hot rod and said Holiday 2007 so it should have been 90% but again not really in the mood. I did grab some of the travel games that were originally $19.99 for only $1.99.

I was @ Target yesterday. They had a ton of the LPS advent calendars. Marked $6.98. Asked an employee, he checked and said that they were only 30% because they were in the toy section, not in the Christmas section. Oh well. We had gotten one, but I wanted to get another for the pets. Plus since they don't have candy in them, thought they would be good for next Christmas as well.

But, same Target 2 days before marked down the MLP tube for 75% off. Go figure!

last night i got the i can play guitar for $19.99 and the cartridges for $3.74. was marked $39.99 and the cashier was really ticked that i was getting such a deal. this was after she refused to give me 90% on the scrapbooking and lps set. i had a smile on my face from ear to ear and that just made her even more angry. HA!

One thing I don't understand is why cashiers get angry with the customers for buying things in the stores they work at????

I don't either. I mean if you want to be a shopper, than quit your job and be a shopper. If you want to work, than try to put a smile on your face and work. Everyone is entitled to a bad day I guess.

I notice that the cashiers get a little crabbier during the 90% off sale. That day they were bringing out household paper goods on pallets from the back, my cashier was not at all pleased. I suppose if those things had been dug out earlier, there would have been more of a chance for the employees to get them. I don't ask for much of anything from the cashiers when someone is ringing my stuff out at 90% off. I try to make it a point not to bring out the coupons either. Anything to just get in and out quickly.

Oh well, everyone is entitled to a big bunch of luck every once and awhile. The ornery cashiers will get their lucky days too! :yup:

for the person that asked the cranium turbo is regular size game (I didn't see those before on the christmas section but they were 90%) I actually got mine from a box that an employee got from the back. I have read of some people finding the pop game on the toys section and is also 90% off.

Also got the rival roaster and there were tons left at my store I mean more than 50!!!

Thanks! My Target went 90% off this Saturday morning, sadly not a lot left. I am so jealous of you all that had stores that had items being pulled from the back, or those that are able to go to more than one store. On a brighter note I did manage to find 3 20 minute Sorry games .99 a piece, one "just in case" connect 4 game 1.99 and one Cranium Pop game for 2.49. I was so excited, These games were all in the regular toys aisles, but thanks to you all I knew they were going to scan 90% off!!!! I also went ahead and stocked up on Christmas cards.... who can resist at that price?

Yesterday when I went to Target my cashier was the same way. She just seemed in a bad mood. I made conversation with her and mentioned how unfair that they couldn't get the good deals and she lightened up. I do feel bad for them but everything rang up at 90% off I wasn't ripping them off in any shape, form or fashion. We shouldn't feel guilty for getting a good deal if they are offering it.

Just went to the Target at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, NH. If you are near here don't head there...lol. They had nothing left except candy canes...and none of the stuff, like the Men's Grinch Jammies were marked nor would they give me any off of them. Same with the hot wheels, LPS stuff or women's jammies. I also tried the Higgies wipes and was shot down. The Planters nuts also were still marked regular, they refused to mark down almost my whole cart HA HA. That's okay cause I got great deals at the other 3 and am heading to Leomister MA in the morning for an appt so I am checking the Target there..lol. I have spent my whole week at Target and will probaboly spend this week there too...camped out for the 75% toy mark down.

I left today with

1 pair of shoes for my son $3.98
2 pair for my daughter 1 $2.48, the other $3.24
1 Holiday disney princess baby $.49
1 travel size holiday magna doodle $.49

Total $10.86 YAY !!!!!!

Went back to 2 Columbus, OH Target stores today. I was able to find more Kids heavy fleece PJ sets for $1.49. Also, Graceland target had a bunch of girls 2 pair PJ pant's sets for $1.49 each, grabbed 3 packs, different colors. (all PJ's not marked, but scanned 90% off!)

I was able to find the Baby Phat perfume set, originally $29.99, not marked, but scanned at 90% off as well. Found this in the cosmetics isle. The cashier nearly had a Heart attack when she scanned this!! She even said "are you serious??" she was really nice, and couldnt believe what a deal that was.

I was also able to find one of those ornament sets, 90% off. A chrismas CD at 90% off. I got some poppycock in christmas tins at 50% off and some planters chocolate covered nuts at 50%. I also found transformers and cars calendars at 90% off, these were located near the books.

Oh, I forgot to post yesterday. Came accross a rude Target employee. I almost wanted to report her. I was trying on shoes, I had that big roaster in my cart and like 4 shoe boxes, which kept wanting to fall off my cart. I was in the middle of trying on a pair, when my boxes fell off. I picked them up and set them next to my cart, so I could continue trying on shoes without worrying about them falling. She came over to me from the next dept over, and said "I know you are going to pick these up!" I said, "Well, I am in the middle of trying them on. Once I know which ones I am going to buy, the other ones will go on the shelf." Then she decided to say how sick she is of customers leaving the area messy." I think that she needs a new job.

Yesterday, I went to Polaris. Today I hit Easton and Graceland. Really, no one had much left. Easton had a bunch of the calendars, Graceland had a bunch of the girl's PJ pants. Other than that, both stores didn't have much left at 90%. Christmas was pretty much just bows, some cards, ornament hooks, ect.

I found 2 of the roasters too, and 2 dirt devil vacuums down to $12.48 from $50 and a big basket 90% off that a pp had mentioned. I got quite a bit of Christmas stuff too. (including the 29 cent crackers...the cashier was surprised :) )

Found 5 of the Cranium Pop games today and bought 4. I gave one to a family that was trying to find a game to take home. They had looked at it but put it down. I told them the price, and they decided it would work. I gave one to a neighbor who loves games. Not sure what I'll do with the other 3, but I couldn't pass up the deal.

The Vtech cameras are full price here. I was bummed. I did find those no-name kid video cameras for 50% off, though. has anyone had any experience with those? They are in the kid electronic games aisle and they also make a plain digital camera for about $20.

jWow 2007 will go down as the year of "My Little Pony" drama. I really do not know what it is with some cashiers it almost feels like if you do not pay full -price they feel they will not get their paycheck.

I found two pony packs in two different stores and both times went through the same thing. Luckily they called management and they said just give it to her.

If anyone has an extra my little pony christmas tree playset and would be willing to sell it please pm me. My DD really wanted one and since I was sick and just was allowed out and about just this past weekend they are nowwhere to be found in West Palm Beach are. I will pay extra and of course cover shipping and handling.

Thank you.

Went out today but didn't try Niles. With the mall there thought it would prob. be picked over.
We were able to find 2 of the brown throws $2.50, mesh outdoor lights that go on shrubs, PJ's & shirts, table cloths, creamer & cookies. The best deal was at 1st store the cashier gave us the plastic cake, pie, & egg holders for 90%.
The 2nd store would not budge on anything & some of the red box items in mens were priced as marked!! Tried also to get the scrapping for 90% but no go. Since they would not give us what we wanted,we took their things!! :yup: There were 2 carts next to the registers against the wall. Found the photo ornament, holiday shirts, large tub with black & silver ribbons & bows & a few other things all 90%. Yesterday the store here went to 90% off when they opened at 8. I got there at nine and there were two ladies with two buggies each and they had all the Christmas Quilts/Throws and that sort of thing.
(Thanks to GD, I found the awesome little Winnie the Pooh leather shoes for my new nephew. They are so cute and they were just hanging up with the other WTP leather shoes, not marked at all. Yippie!)
I also found a plastic Tee Ball set in the toy aisle but it was in the Red Christmas Gift boxes. It rang up for 59 cents (original price 5.99) and I was so very happy to find that because, spring is coming soon and that is perfect. (I bought 3.)
Our store emptied fast because I actually went back with my sil later that afternoon and there was only a bunch of broken stuff and lots of cards and gift wrap. I found a Black T shirt w/a Christmas tree on it in the clothes department stuck in a bunch of other stuff for 50 cents.

I look at this board frequently but never post. Tonight was the first time that I had seen the Niles and Boardman store mentioned on this site. That is funny being that I thought I was the only person in this area who stalked their bargains. Anyhow I looked at Boardman tonight to check out their toy clearance and it is disappointing compared to previous clearance sales. A lot of the stuff was Barbie and not too much left of anything really good. I am checking the Niles store tomorrow to see what I can find. But hi to everyone from my area!

Thanks for the welcome! I will post when I find. I am trying to stay away from Target though. I have a serious addiction to that store. that is about what I think the "regular" price will become.

Yes it is pretty darned cute. I wish it was part of the clearance! :( Seems like some of the colors are more popular and more expensive online than others....how bizarre! Thanks for the info!

Just got back from my target. They must have been 90% off for a while so there was maybe 1/2 an aisle left.
BUT-
There was a beautiful Smith and Hawken eucalyptus and pinecone wreath sitting there amongst the broken stuff. got it for 4.99! When I was in line, another cashier came over and said "This was over there?". She was suprised, and a little mad I think. I think it was a customer return that someone had just put back there.
There was so much clearance, they made extra endcaps to cram the stuff on.
I got the 1000 thread count sheets for 9.99 at 75% off, and a bunch of Kitchen aid stuff (carving knives, etc)was 50-75% off. The Glade air affects spray cans, and Febreeze special edition was 50% off.
Made out pretty well. Toys only 30% off though.

I just called two Targets in Tucson (Grant/Tanque Verde and Old Spanish Trail/Harrison). I received vague answers as to when toys would be marked down and when XMas would go 90%. They are both holding strong at 30% off toys and 75% off Christmas.

I know as soon as I cave and buy the VTech for $35, it'll go down in price. Granted, $35 is not a bad deal. I am inclined to think I am going to cave rather than wait.

If they do go down further and they have them in stock, I'll buy one and just return it with the $35 receipt.

That's what I did last year with my son's train table. I was a 3 days off of their clearance. I tried to get a price adjustment b/c I was pregnant and didn't want to bring it back in. They wouldn't. So I walked back and had an employee throw one on the cart for me. I paid $19 for it. Walked out the door and came back in to return it with my $70 receipt. Worked like a charm.:)

I ended up going again tonight - not a lot of x-mas stuff left except bows and a few stockings.

MLP christmas tree
MLP tubes (ended up getting them for 90%).
LPS Tube
Disney Cars
Hannah Montana Calendar
HSM Calendar
Bratz
Barbie doll ornament
3 packs of Playdoh bags
1 Trouble travel game

Checked out some of the toys, scanned a few at 50% still and the only ones I found at 75% were the Shrek Talking boots and donkey for $4.98.

Back from Target, AGAIN! Every time I go I think that there is nothing left to be found, but...

Honeybee Hop $8.48 (I know, I know, you all got them free - I missed out)
Shake 'n Go crash-up speedway $24.44 (passed this up dreaming of 75% off, went back)
Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice $1.37 (I love this stuff, definatly worth it for me!)

All were 50% off. Honeybee hop and Shake 'n Go were marked clearance, but only marked 30%. Now I want to find them at 75% for the "price adjustment". How fun would it be to give the Shake 'n Go Speedway to all the boys we know as B-Day gifts?! I usually spend about $10 for kid parties, but I think I can swing $12.22, lol.

Also found kids christmas jammies $1.29. Never saw these before! Return? There was only 1 pair, just DD's size. Happy me!

I just got back from my Target and I am just spitting mad. I went there with a specific list of all the good finds everyone else here on gotta deal has shared.

First things, the wii games and xbox 360 games since those are so expensive I am always looking for new games for those systems for us. We have had the wii since April and only have 5 games for it and only 3 for the Xbox 360 and that is because of Christmas. Well the only one my Target had was the Ghost Squad for the Wii. They had 3 copies, my daughter went and price scanned it and low and behold $1.74, so she yells it down the aisle "Mommy, it says it is only $1.74!!" I grabbed the other two on the shelf and said good to go. I can get one for each of my family members who have wii's. I grabbed a couple other games, went over to the pricescan and checked the prices on those and they were all $19.99 or $29.99 so I figured I just got really lucky. Did the rest of my shopping, looked through the scant little bit of Christmas stuff left, didn't find anything other than wrapping paper for .19 or .29 and an ornament for .29 and there was 4 puffy's for the shower with christmas stars on them...so we went to the toy section. Nada...nothing good. All express games gone, all cranium games gone.

Head over to the baby section and grab 30 packages of baby wipes ;my son has to have wipes so we buy them all the time. I figured for .19 I was going to stock up.

Got up to the register and immediately the cashier gives me attitude. I said ... "this is all holiday so it should be 90% off but I want to make sure." She says "Not all of it is on sale... because that is just what the managers said. If it rings up on sale it is on sale... if it rings normal price it is normal price."
I told her that the wipes were holiday (snowmen, snowflakes and pooh dressed as santa) and the bath poofies had christmas stars on them. She scanned them and refused to take 90% off... said they are still wipes, and they still clean your body... they are normal Health and Beauty... not on sale.

Then she does the games... says "information not on file" I said well that is weird because an hour and a half ago they scanned at 1.74 and I scanned all 3 of them. She called back to Electronics and they said $29.99 I said no way... the only reason I came here was because it was on clearance on our gottadeal forum and I made a list of all the items on sale. I grabbed all 3 because they scanned at 1.74. She said... "They wouldn't have changed in an hour"... I said well it did because it scanned for 1.74 and now it is not in the system.

The manager comes over and says that she will check on the price... she walks over to a self scanner and it says information not on file.

I said well I am not paying $29.99 for 3 games that scanned at 1.74 an hour an a half ago and she said that is what electronics is saying.

I am calling corporate. I was so embarrassed becase at this point the cashier says to me, "In all my time working here I have never seen a game priced that low before, I just don't believe it"... I said well when you have time check out gottadeal.com and look at the Target thread... over 1000 posts a month about finds such as this one... and yeah they do go that low. I have bought PC games here for $2.00 before.... it does happen.

The manager just said well there is nothing I can do... it is not on file.

Sorry you had such a bad experience.:gdbouquet1:

I had a similar experience with the Thomas Holiday Set. No luck the first time. Saw many people here getting it 90% off, so I tried again tonight. I was shot down by the cashier again. At least she was nice about it.

I scanned a few kiddie bath sets tonight, just in case. The ones I checked all came up "information not on file." Will the cashier just enter the red tag price? Does this mean that the current 15% off is as low as they will go?

semperwife, I am SO sorry for your ordeal. That just plain stinks!

I tried to get the Huggies wipes (that come in the larger box) at the 90% off since the packaging has snowflakes and the baby is wearing a Santa hat for goodness sakes. But no go, I was told it was not holiday and would be regular price.

At least I tried!

Our Target will NEVER budge on anything. I don't even try anymore. They act annoyed just to be there at all.

Last year when the princess TV was clearanced, I got a really nippy response when I asked out of curiosity why they weren't clearanced here.

Then I went to look for the wine cooler a few weeks ago, posted on here. Once again we had it, full price. I also tried to get the dollar spot batteries some of you were able to get for 75% off, I got a really rude lecture that day.

They did go 90% off on Saturday. I grabbed a bunch of plain white gift boxes for $.19 a pack. They come in handy year round for b-day's. I also got a rope dog toy for $0.19. I got a few gift bags. The only real deal I got- they had the red box Ipod Nano speakers docking station thing. It was regularly $30.00- I got it for $3.00. It was shoved in the pet food aisles behind some things. So, that was my bargain.

They had a lot of kids bath set's and perfume sets (4 endcaps full) and they were only marked 15% off. Also I noticed they had 2 endcaps full of the polaroid digital camcorder that was from BF. They were still full price, just wondering if anyone thinks they'll clearance these?

"You could always pull off the red sticker and tell them it was in the christmas section! Maybe 90% off"

I thought the same thing, but that's beyond my limits. I won't take stickers off in the store. IMO (and accoding to store policies) that is shoplifting. If the cashier sees the prices and will override, good for me. If not, well, guess it wasn't ment to be. I don't mean to be harsh. I do appriciate that you posted a reply. Just want to say that feels too dishonest to me.

So I walked back and had an employee throw one on the cart for me. I paid $19 for it. Walked out the door and came back in to return it with my $70 receipt. Worked like a charm."

I will do this. After all, both were purchased at the then-current price. One will be returned. Both are identical. Wouldn't they rather have the one back that I just bought, the one that hasn't been used?

I started last year and it was AWESOME! Anyway, as you may have seen some toys are marked 15%, 30% and 50% - they will go down all the way to 90% if any are left.

They typically do mark downs weekly - going from 15% to 30% to 50% to 75% then to 90% - but as we have seen with Christmas we don't know for sure when it will happen. YOu just have to keep a watch!

Watch to see if they are resetting toys - moving all Clearance toys together - or if you see alot of employees working. I don't totally trust calling to see if they marked down.....

I am sure others have some input, ideas or please correct me if I am wrong! TKS!

Overall the customer service at the Targets in my area is pretty good. Everyone once in awhile you get one with an attitude. I've had some not want to do price adjustments but if it's within a $5.00 threshold, they are not supposed to question it. This is what I heard a supervisor tell a cashier one time.

Now as far as an item that is showing not on file, that is an item that is so old that it no longer shows in the system. I would've challenged it (I'm not criticizing anyone so please don't take offense).
The manager was being lazy because there is a way they can look it up in another system; not just at the self-scanner.

In my experiences here, just because one Target has it for a blow-out price, another in the area may not. So even though there is a blow out deal on here in one location, it may not be that way in our local Target. (Although I am hoping I get a roaster for $12.48 and a new vacuum for $6.xx....lol)

I think you are doing the right thing by calling corporate. Target prides themself on good customer service. I would've been livid if I was in your shoes to be treated so poorly and made to feel like you were trying to take advantage.

I called Friday morning and they said it was still 75%. After I got home and checked the board, I called back and they said 90%!?!?! My big 90% score was: ballerina barbie ($.49), 4 white dishes with a Silver Snowflake in the center ($1.99), these were hidden behind "regular" dishes in the dish aisle, and 3 dark (wicker?) baskets that were $1.99 and $2.99, regularly $19.99 and $29.99, and a reed diffuser in the candle aisle for $1.99. I did get a bunch of wrapping paper and some Command strips, and a 6ft tree for $1.99. :) :) :)

YIKES! Do we want them to know about GOTTADEAL - although it is a free forum...BUT:eyepoppin

Target was moving all their clearance toys to 2 aisles. They were breaking down some other aisles. I took 4 of the huggie wipes that had christmas stuff on it to the cashier. I said are these Christmas clearance and she looked at them and said "yep" rang them up at 75% off and I said oh Christmas went to 90% saturday and she changed it saying "oh I never work back there". There were some christmas hello kitty pjs but I didnt want to push my luck as they rang up full price and were NOT in the Christmas section.

I was UGLY this morning you guys. :sleazy:

I went to my Target this morning to hide some of the Barbie Girls accessory packs that are only 30% but I know will be going lower. I was there when they opened because I have to be at work at 9:00 and I work 40 minutes away. :gdcar: Well about 5 minutes before 8:00 this woman walked up to the door and saw an employee standing just inside the door with Christmas tree in a shopping cart. She made the comment that she hoped that he wasn't buying that because that's what she was there for, a Christmas tree.

I was nice and kind of giggled and said "good luck. they sold out of trees on Saturday morning at 8:05." So she gets really snotty and says, "well I was here last night and they had one, so that's why I am here this morning to get it." Well, if it was here last night, you should have bought it last night because it probably won't be here now. So at this point she is being absolutely hateful and ask if that is what I am there for. I told her yes. It wasn't but she was being so nasty about it.:2stickpok

So when we get in, I spoke to the manager (yes we are on a first name basis) got a cart and headed for the back. Well, this woman didn't even get a cart. She just bee-lined for Christmas.:gdrunner: Her daughter dropped her shoe probably 5 feet inside the door. I called her probably 4 or 5 times and said, "ma'am, your daughter dropped her shoe." "excuse me, you dropped your daughter's shoe." and she was SOOOO worried about getting a tree that she wouldn't even listen to me. Well she beat me to Christmas by 45 seconds or so and there was a tree. A white glacial pine pre-lit 7.5 foot....SCORE!!! :clapping: but she didn't have a buggy and no way to do anything with it. :sidesplitAs she walked past me to get a cart, she said "That's mine." :gdcensored:so I did what any red-blooded Mississippi girl would do.... I picked it up and put it in my cart and went to toys. :gdfight: :2wiggle:

The thing is, honestly, I wasn't there for a tree, didn't need another tree, didn't want another tree, have no use for another tree and the only reason that I bought it was to keep her from getting it. Sometimes, it pays to just be nice, you know. If she hadn't been so dog gone ugly, I might have given her one of the 6 I bought on Saturday.

Oh and I forgot the part about breaking my finger in the process. When I put the tree in the cart, I got my finger caught between the tree and the cart and broke my finger. The price you pay for being ugly I guess.

Does anyone know when the toy clearance will be? I'm wondering if it will depend on the store, kind of like the markdowns on the Christmas.... I tried to get them for 90% at a couple of my Targets (PDX, OR and Vancouver, WA). It was a no go. :( Apparently, these Targets had associated those sets with toys and not with holiday.

The reason I ask is that it isn't the same as switching a tag. Target's policy is to use the UPC code to look up the last price of the item. The tag thing is particularly problematic when they get returns of products that were sold to a customer at 30%, but returned after they went salvage or a lower price. The tag doesn't indicate the last sold price, but if it is on there, it is what they'll charge if it comes up not on file. That isn't fair to the customer who should have gotten it for the lower price. Their actual policy is that if they cannot find the correct price, they are supposed to give it to the price change team to find the correct price and mark it, not give it to the customer at whatever price they determine, unless it is within their $25 limit. And some store are sticklers for the price change team finding a price regardless of the cost of the item.

Now if you are switching red tags to other items, that is an entirely different ball of wax. That is considered the same as shoplifting.

Oh, and basically, lying and saying that an item is supposed to be Christmas merchandise when you know for a fact that they consider it a toy instead (however unreasonable that may be) is pretty much the same thing as what you are describing with the tags. I guess some people may see some moral distinction, but I am not sure I can see that. Just my $.02.

You know, karma works both ways. Maybe that woman just lost her job or had a house fire, (or in my case) a flood and lost everything, and they only way she was going to be able to get a tree for next year is if she got it now at such a cheap price. Probably not, but maybe. You had no need for the tree, and you were being mean because she was being mean. WOW.

Karma does work both ways... and when I lost EVERYTHING in a flood, I personally was grateful for any kindness shown me. I didn't go around with a chip on my shoulder, it wasn't anyone else's fault. I think if she had been a little nicer the whole situation would have played out differently. The bottom line is even when you have a bad day, the way you treat people will always come back to you.

Clearance toys at my local Target have been consolidated into about 4 aisles and almost all are at 50% off. I always try to guess when 75% off will be and sometimes it works out, but sometimes it doesn't. I usually check this board a lot to see what others are finding and look back at previous years when things went to 75%. I think last year's date was January 10. It is usually a Wednesday morning, since that is when toys are typically marked down but my store was behind last year and ours did not go until Thursday morning which I think was the 11th. I am going this Wednesday just in case, but who knows??? It seems early to me, but I don't want to miss out either.

I went to the Surprise Target again this morning. Once again they were bringing things out from the back. I got a snowman cookie jar, mugs, plates, a wreath, a nutcracker, and cups. I spent $10. I was pretty excited. I also found the cranium pop5 game. I might go back. They said they were bringing things out slowly because some people got rude.

I went to pick up the Shake and Go Crashers set at 50% off today, but to my surprise it scanned 75%! (It was still marked 50%). I then spent quite some time scanning alot of other toys, but for some reason that was the only thing that scanned 75%, I ended up getting 2 at $12.22 each.

I personally will remove a red tag if it scans not on file and not feel bad at all ...not to be dishonest but to make the usually lazy employees actually look up the price that I should be charged. If the red tag is still on there they will just lie and state "that's the price" when we all know there is a 99.99% chance that it is much lower. :yup: I did not know however that that was considered shoplifting! That said I would never switch a price tag! I just want the item at the price it should be...:)

So I am confused - somtimes I have scanned things that are less than the red sticker price. And sometimes I have scanned things that scan regular price but have a clearance sticker on them?!?!?

I don't get it! If they don't want all that hassle why doesn't Target mark the correct prices with the barcode?

I went to my target (racine, wi) and I tried to get some of those wipes, but it was a no go-the cashier said "if they were that cheap I would of bought them", well at least I tried! They did have a lot of clothes for 75% off. There were some toddler boy coats for 6.24 Orig $24.99(too bad I have a girl), but I did get some shirts for .98, and a purse that was originally 49.99 for 75% off. I can't wait until the toys go 75% off.

Yep, mine, too. The kids clothing had been reduced more, though. Got some things for 75% off. Boys sweatshirt jackets for $2.24, girls shirts for .94 and $1.24, girls leggings $1.24, etc.

I don't think Target intentionally mistickets items...I believe if there is a red sticker there but rings up regular price, it shouldnt have been there to begin with...Someone else could have put it there....or an employee mistakenly put a red clearance sticker on them...

Target is really good about entering all there markdowns in the computer whether they have a read sticker or not...So the correct price should more often then not ring up...

What posters are referring to are the NOT ON FILE scans...This usually happens when something has been salvaged or marked as far as it can go like 90% off....So if there is a red sticker the Target employee will ususally make you pay that price..when we all know it went much lower then that and the red clearance sticker price is more often then not the first or second markdown...

This is why I scan everything...I also dont fight to much about prices and what they should be...I dont want to draw any attention to myself..as I really like my stores and I dont want to upset any employees....

That is precisely what they have done the last few years. They seem to take some areas to 50%, but not all. Just guessing it has to do with overall quantity of clearance items. Most of our stores are at 30%, but only have 2 aisles. sounds like most of those at 50% seem to have more aisles left.

Amen! They sometimes mis-mark their items, putting the tag on the wrong item. I have been the joyous beneficiary of those errors once or twice. But more often items simply don't get the markdown for some reason, or they have the wrong tag because they were bought at say 30% off and returned after an interim markdown or salvage.

They are PRETTY GOOD, but not very good. We often find items that don't get entered properly. And there are FREQUENTLY item not found results because they didn't enter a new item into the system properly. Our local store has been cited by the State multiple times for inaccurate pricing. And they get stung all the time on those TV undercover shows.

"I did not mean to switch tags! I have never pulled off a clearence tag ethier. Just a thought since it was scanning not found didn't mean to offend anyone!"

My mistake. I originally posted about 2 things - the Thomas Holiday Gift Set and the kiddie bath sets (scaned "item not found).

I thought that you were suggesting taking the tag off the Thomas set - which was ringing at $27.xx - and swearing that I found it in the 90% off section, demanding to get it for
$2.xx. I would feel like that was being intentionally deceptive and would not do that.

Now I realize that you were saying that I could take the tag from the "item not found" bath set, forcing them to look up the current price. This makes a lot more sense to me. Sorry if I created any bad feelings.

As for where I saw that removing tags (or exchanging tags) is shoplifing...
I haven't seen them for a while, and never specifically at Target, but I am talking about the signs often on the back of fitting room and bathroom doors. The ones that define what is shoplifing and saying that shoplifters will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Granted, they are probably talking about removing tags with the intent of passing something off as an item you brought into the store with you. Personally, I don't see the problem with making a cashier look up the current price, just with lying about what that price was.

That has got to be the funniest story ever!!! lol

I'm back from my mini tour of Targets in Tucson. I hit the stores at Old Spanish Trail/Harrison, Tanque Verde/Grant and Broadway/Craycroft.

Christmas is pretty much non-existent in all of them. Although I did manage to score 8 of the Cranium Pop 5 games at the Broadway Store and some 15 foot outdoor extension cords. These will be great considering my house may end up looking like National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation given all of the decorations I bought this year!

I also saw 8 of the Cranium games at the TV/Grant store but decided I didn't need 16 of them. If anyone is interested, they are in the toy clearance area mixed in with some AZ Cardinals type sporting goods type items. And yes, they scanned $2.49 ( I checked while I was there).

Both OST/Harrison and TV/Grant had TONS of toys. I noticed some for 50% off but mostly still at 30% off. I asked the sales clerk at the OST/Harrison store when they might be going and got the usual we don't know it's whenever it drops into our system. Oh, the OST/Harrison store had oodles of the Thomas the Train Holiday Sets but they were mixed in with the toy items and were still almost $30.

They have already reset all of the toy sections in those 3 stores so it would have to be soon. I would imagine they are going to start preparing for inventory and there is no way they are going to want all of that in their store when inventory rolls around.

I also got 6 more of the Christmas Barbies that ended up being $0.49 each. There were 12 but I was feeling generous and didn't arm wrestle for all of them. I felt cheerful after scoring 8 of the Cranium games for 90% off. lol A lady had gotten two down. Then another younger lady with a baby came by, picked up 2 of them and then came back for more when she realized how much they were. I offered her 4 of the 10 I had in my shopping cart.

And one last thing, the VTech VSmile sets are now $24.98 (woohoo, half price!) at the OST/Harrison. Yes, I FINALLY got it and only paid half price!!!

I also had a leftover raincheck from a BF item that never came in. I bought a Smartridge with it. At first they didn't want to do it because it didn't say a subsitute was allowed but I pushed the issue. I said, it's not my fault you never got the item back in and I lost out (little did they know about Amazon...haha). Anyway, I said the least you can do is discount this cartridge since it's also a learning toy. I got a Smartridge normally for $19.98 for $10.00 Yeah!!! The cashier and the first girl that came over both said no and I pushed the issue. I know there are many new clerks at the different stores and don't know all of the ins and outs. I feel it's my job to help educate them. :)

I didn't find my roaster. :( I think it's just not meant that I get one. I also didn't find any gonga deal vacuums.

I hope these finds help someone. If you need more information, please feel free to ask. If I know, I'm happy to answer.

I kind of have a rule of thumb and if it's something I absolutely love, I'll go ahead and buy it at 30% off. If it's something that I find at 50% off and just feel like I'll die if I don't get it, I won't wait until 75% off. I've been burned too many times. I have to disagree with you on this issue. In many municipalities the removal of a price tag is considered a form of shoplifting and you can be arrested and banned from the store. It usually falls under the "Intent to Defraud" codes. I was in retail management for many years before changing careers and I can tell you that I personally had several customers detained and arrested when I witnessed them removing price tags. It's not worth it fellow GDers; if you think it should be sold for less than what it's marked then get a manager to give you a better price. Don't take a chance by peeling off a price tag and being stopped by security or management.

What a waste of time. I found a pair of sweat pants for DD and a box of Planters nuts. I could not find anything listed in the last few pages of this thread.

They did have about ten wreaths left and about ten boxes of candy canes. Otherwise the clearance through out the whole store was very limited. Ahh.. can't wait until the endcaps are filled with red tagged items again.

It always is up to the store but it just isn't worth it. Do you want to take the chance to get a record because you do something questionable and the store employee decides to make an example of you?

Nope, there you go. Just never had seen any laws on it. Now we all know. Of course, the same basically goes for anyone who lies about the 90% off thing, too. It certainly would fall under underringing, though the cashier wouldn't be directly involved. Still it is clearly a case of the cashier changing a price improperly, so they could probably get fired for it at a minimum.

What a waste of time. I found a pair of sweat pants for DD and a box of Planters nuts. I could not find anything listed in the last few pages of this thread.

does that mean that they finally brought the price down on the nuts? There has been much complaining about that!

Where were the barbies? I never saw them even at 75% off!

When I bought them @ 75% off, they were with the other Barbies. This was at the store at TV/Grant. Today (same store), they were with the remaining Christmas clearance items. These were the ones in the red satiny tutu that has gold stars ( or snowflakes?) on it. I also saw the Barbies that are in plaid flannel jammies with a penguin (also mixed in with regular Barbie stuff). This was at the same Target last week when they were 75% off. I forgot to look today for anymore of those.

Not sure if it was the ones talked about? Probably. I don't have my receipt right here.. but they were half off ($3-something) for a three can pack. Not a great deal but I was craving honey roasted. :P

And when you are pregnant and have a craving there is no such thing as worrying about a deal....you'll pay whatever it takes to get the goods! lol

Has anyone seen those solar lights go lower than 50%? They're only $19.98 now but I'm gambling on them going down to $9.98. Of course, I gambled last year too and lost :(.

Dont bother they suck.It was the funniest thing. My husband and i both bought them for each other for christmas. You should of seen us opening them up on christmas morning cracking up.(BTW we just moved into a new house so we were trying to buy needed house items for each other but still trying to be personal). We did manage to buy different colors though.Anyways i put mine outside and they dont light nearly as much as i though they should. And if there is any i mean any sort of lights lite outside the solars dont work. The light from my living room window keeps them from working also.JMO.

I hope everyone buying these nuts used the $1.00 off planters target "Q" making them $2.38 for 3 cans of nuts.

Just wanted to give an update... I called corporate and told them what happened and they were embarrased that the manager didn't try to find out more. Apparently those games are only available online and when they are returned to the store they are suppose to be sent back to the online division but they can go on sale in the retail store if the manager decides... but it would be the same price as the online store. I told her that it just seemed funny that it scanned that way and then it was taken out of the system. She said they would look into it but there was nothing they could do except talk to the cashier and the manager about how they handled the situation.

as far as the christmas decorated wipes .... she said if they don't sell then they will go on sale but many stores aren't putting things like that on clearance this year to see if sales will improve.

At one point she wanted to argue with me that games don't go that low but I quoted off of receipts from a few months ago when I got some games that were on clearance for 3.74 and 5.98 and she said well it is not normal for them to go that low.

Thank you for the Baby Phat tip !! I just ran back to Target to see what was left...lol not much. I didfind the Baby Phat Golden Goddess Gift set $29.99 scanned at $2.99. They had another Thomas set but they wouldn't budge on the price this time and I was at the same store where I got the other for $2.80. I did score more jammie sets earlier, a .$49 Barbie, and Enchanted Gift set $.59, bundles of faceclothes $.74 and more shoes...lol. The Baby Phat was a great deal though !!!!!

Thanks for the tip! I didn't want to spend more than 75% off on them just because I was afraid they might "walk away" in the middle of the night somehow but now I won't even bother. The neighbors on either side of me keep their lights on all night and there's a huge grocery store nearby that keeps their lights on too. That said, I'll probably see them for 90% off tomorrow:tongue1:
