Looking for a deal. But also wanted to share what's out there so far:
At Apple.com:
Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
15.4-inch widescreen display
2GB memory
160GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB of GDDR3 memory
Built-in iSight Camera
Original price: $2,499.00
Your price: $2,099.00
With free shipping
At MacMall:
Apple MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz 15" Laptop
MacMall offers the Apple MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz 15" Notebook, model no. MA895LL/A, for $1,949. This $150 mail-in rebate yields a net price of $1,799, the lowest we've seen for this system by $45. Shipping adds around $15 before another mail-in rebate, or $0 after. Rebate ends December 16. Other MacBook Pro deals at MacMall.com, also using the same rebates:
At PC Connection:
MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 15.4" 2.2Ghz 2GB 120GB SuperDrive nVidia 8600M Matte Widescreen
$1,994.00
-$150.00 rebate
$1,844.00 With free shipping
I can shop thru Upromise on PC Connection & get 2% for college. But I HATE HATE HATE rebates!!!
I can shop thru Upromise on Applie and get 1% for college, with no rebates, but I'll pay $150more for not new (but slightly bigger HD, processor).
I can shop MacMall (no Upromise link) and also would have to deal with the rebate, but it's the best price.
The rebate ends Dec. 16, this Sunday.
Should I wait a while? If not, any advice on which one to take?
And does anyone have anything good/bad to say about PCConnection/MacMall as far as rebates go?
