I bought my son a skateboard on ebay last year. I can't remember what kind it was (maybe Element) but I got it for a decent price. Also check CCS.com they sometimes have clearance boards.

Actually they do. I bought my oldest sons skateboard from ccs last christmas. It's a complete skateboard but you choose the deck, wheels, trucks, etc.
