Try buy.com...i found one there yesterday and think my final price shipped was $103 also...I did use the $10 discount to pay through Google. I also got to pick black or white.

I would call them and find out if it can be shipped sooner. That is way to long to wait for a christmas gift.

BEWARE WITH DELL ORDERS!!!

I purchased one through Dell on 11/25. The order status said delivery in 2/2008!! So i called and they said they would rush the order, should get it within 3-4 days.

On 12/2 I called again since my order status kept saying "in production". It was then that they told me Dell does not have anymore and won't be shipping them out!!!

Well it would have been nice if they told me!!!

I checked my bank and I wasn't charged, so I am calling my bank tomorrow to make sure that doesn't get approved just in case. I am also calling Dell tomorrow to make sure I am not getting charged.

If you also need to refund, call this number 1-800-247-2076 (hours: M-F 7a-9p CST, weekends 8a-5p CST). This is the order modification dept. Some other people have complained that Dell does not willingly return your $$.

I just called to cancle my order, it took over 25 minutes. I also was supposed to have it ship by Dec 3 and now it says the 17th. It was an extra one I ordered buy mistake so not a big deal. I was thinking about keeping it for myself. Oh well.

Well I did cancel my order, but did I give them a piece of my mind! At first I thought he was going to give me another color in exchange, but he said all are on back order, and I would have to pay $200! NO WAY, I said.
I told him that Dell SHOULD have stated this item was on back order. They also should have emailed people stating that they don't have any more, and waiting for microsoft to produce more Zunes. I told them I lost out on many deals this week cuz I thought I was getting one from Dell.

I spoke to 4 people, all Indian (no offense, just bringing up the fact that they outsource all of their jobs to India, etc). I felt like they could have given me a subsitute at the discount price, especially since on 11/26 they told me mine was already ready to be shipped! then 3 days later I don't have any Zunes coming to me???? UGH!!! Since they outsource their jobs, they can afford to honor their online prices!

All I own are dell computers, pdas, etc...they will NOT be getting any more business from me.

DELL SUX!!!! They don't know if or when they will get any more in!

MEANWHILE, I got Walmart to honor an online ad at the store...so I got one for $129.00. It's still a good deal, but it's not $99! lol

They actually pm their own online ad. They WM stores don't usually pm their own WM online ads.

He said I was lucky cuz usually they don't do this.


UPDATE ON DELL: Well I emailed them a letter after them sending me a courtesy email about cancelling my order. They then wrote back and they are giving me $50 off any MP3 player that they have. WHATEVER! I am through with Dell.

Usually Walmart will PM other "in store" ads, but if it's an online ad (ie TRU online ad) they probably won't pm. :(

Mine says it shipped today! My original ship date was 12/10 and it was sounding like I would not get it from everyone else’s experience. I will be so excited it actually did, I will keep you posted it arrives, for all the others that are waiting!:D

It looks like I am not getting mine in time for Christmas from Dell. My ship date was scheduled for today 12/10. Instead, I received the following e-mail:

"At Dell, our customers are our top priority and we regret when we are unable to ship our products by the original estimate provided. Although we anticipated being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected delay and have adjusted the estimated ship date as reflected below (see Revised Estimated Ship Date). We value your business and appreciate your patience. "

The new ship date is 12/21. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Customer Service to no avail. They were not willing to do anything. In fact they were nearly encouraging me to cancel the order. I am going to e-mail them and see if I get any other response.

I was originally suppose to get it on 11/29, then they changed it to 12/17. They told me the same thing when I called...they wouldn't even guarantee that I would get one. Well, my ordered arrived today, 1 week early!

That is so funny! I received mine today but didn't bother to look in the packaging because I didn't want my kids to see what I had gotten. I just looked a few minutes ago and sure enough, mine is white too!:)

Dell is extremely slow shipping non-Dell items. I ordered an xbox a few years ago, well before Christmas, and when I found one locally a few days before Christmas, I cancelled the Dell order, because they still had no idea when it would be shipped. Their computers are good, though...

I saw mine shipped on 12/8 & due for delivery 12/12 - 12/14. I had it shipped to my Mom's so my son wouldn't see it if it came here. I'm so glad to see it has shipped, now I just want it in my hands & I can stop stressing.

I ordered a brown one on BF from Dell. Never got a confirmation, stupid me didn't make a copy of the ordering page, couldn't pull anything up from Dell. Thought I was sunk and instead got a 4GB Sony for about the same money. Imagine my surprise today when a WHITE Zune shows up (at the same price) from Dell today! Guess the Sony is going back to CC.

But they finally found it and delivered it yesterday. Mine is white, with a note saying they were substituting color. They did not matter to me, I was just glad I got it. Kudos to Dell, I received my WHITE Zune!!! Good for Dell to stick to the sale, they could've done what many apparently did, refund your money and say "sorry"...

Instead, they worked with Microsoft to fulfill the orders to keep us and our "Good Girls and Boys" happy for Christmas. In a time when we are quick to jump on lousy companies with terrible customer satisfaction, I think this is one of those times when Dell really does deserve some credit.

Not to mention they substituted the "Brown" which was being discontinued, to "White" which is selling from $50-$100 more retail...

And lastly, thanks to everyone on this thread that helped me stick it out and not cancel my order as many did. When I learned about the sale, I just had to get this for my daughter, the communication on this thread really did help ease my anxiety and wait for things to work out..

i think they are playing it safe with their estimating ship date... i scored on one of those dead cameras from dell as well and was given a 2/1/08 ship date..
