no luck here. i managed to get to the final checkout and was told:

"We're sorry; the ACA AS43152490 is not currently available at the selected location. Please choose another store or try again later."

Tried 4 different zips, no luck.

They printed me a rebate form in the store and yes it did say online only but it was not avaiable online when I bought it. Will they reject my rebate?

Early this Sunday morning, CC sent me an e mail with a link to this item at $ 279.99 after rebate.

I'm on the West Coast near three stores. Two stores had "In stock" and one read "out of stock". I was at the nearest "in stock" store 45 minutes (First in line) before opening. Was first told it was "out of stock" but used their own in house computer that showed it was "in stock".

But the identical link they sent to me (printed HARD copy) now showed price at $ 599.99 with NO rebate. A $ 320 difference !!

Manager asked how to make it right. Two of us just asked to honor offer within next month. Manager refused and said, "Have a nice day", and left.

It seems CC cannot decide if they want to lie about "in stock" or honor e mail offer.

I still have original $ 279.99 offer on my computer but current link to same page has different price.

Very bad experience. I cannot recommend this retailer.

Oh...I am not a new member, but cannot remember my screen or password from previous years.

I appreciate that, laser2, but CC locally does not intend to honor this offer no matter how much proof I give them. I had the original offer printed in hard copy when they decided to try, "...we are out of stock...".

When their own computer showed "...in stock at this location...", they decided they actually DID have it in stock, it would just cost $ 320 MORE than the e mail offer.

Don't you just love the way some people react when you catch them fibbing?

Likely those on the East Coast suceeded, but by the time stores opened on the West Coast, they had changed the "offer".

Fool me once....... I'll never give 'em another chance.

My order went through online & got conf before 10:00 am. I chose the free ship, but didn't go for the printer. It only did not show as part of the package deal.

Does anyone know how many memory slots this has? If there are 2 I want to get the $12 1gb on BF to upgrade this.:confused:

I tried to buy on line @<hidden> 6:00 am PST but I was redirected to a "not available on line, purchase at store only... " then it asked for zip and showed three local CC stores. One showed "out of stock" two showed " in stock, purchase in store only".

When I showed up at one of those stores...oh well, you know the story.

What really ticked me off is when I used their computer to open MY E mail acct, the links directing me to this special had changed.

I would worry about your rebate, Supershopper. CC's credibility is somewhat strained.

Edited to add: I even tried CC phone order system at 1-800-8433-2489 and was told "...no phone orders for this item. Again with the zip and again with the "in store purchase, in stock..." reply. Neither was true.
