I would say that if you are still a student, 1 is plenty.

Don't get caught up in the hype. Keep the one you have, and pay ALL the balance every month if possible.

The longer you have it and the better your payment history, the better your credit will become.

I would wait until having your current account in good standing for at least a year. You will be able to get better offers at that point, too, especially if there aren't a lot of inquiries to your credit report.
