Ok hopefully someone can help. My DH mentioned while we were fixing something in the house, that he would have been able to do it easier if he had a gearwrench ratchet? The space where is wrench was going to very small.
He said they were pretty expensive? Can someone tell me what the heck is talking about!?
I was hoping to find it for xmas. I searched on amazon and found to many different tools. And i dont know what makes one better than the other.

Thanks!

Gearwrench has a stubby set - Does he want SAE or Metric? Sears has an 8 piece stubby set for $59.99 regular price. They have some some other sets to choose from.

I think he is refering to the wrench with the little GEAR in it so you don't have to do a full turn...my husband has several large sets of these (Gotta love an expense account at work for an oil company!!) He's outta country right now but if he calls I'll ask him thier specific name I know they have one..lol

Good luck !

He's probably talking about the ones at Sears. That is what I bought my dad last year for Christmas.

This is the set I bought him - but you will need to know what size he would be using...they have 1/4, 1/2/ and 3/8 in. Of course you could just buy him a set (ask Sears employee for recommended size based on what your husband is using it for) and even if it is the wrong size - worst case scenario he gets to go to Sears and oogle at tools, lol!

My dad also has these- they are wrenches. I think he gets more use out of these ones

Thanks for all the help! Im going to check out all your links now. I did see the short ones in Sears and I casually mentioned them, but he said he wouldnt want short ones.
Also standard or metric he needs both.

Ill let ya know what I come up with!

I purchased a set for my daughter last year at Harbor Freight. They had the best deals at that time.
