317.XX with coupons and store savings I paid 174.XX. I would have done better if the store in Florida would atleast do double coupons.

I only do a little better than that with doubles, so you did really good I think. Plus I think that if your state doesn't do doubles you might be getting better cents off coupons. Today of my 17 coupons that doubled 10 of those were under $.50 (mostly $.20) and our stores charge more in general. LIKE the Airwick nightlight sented oil thingys that are FREE with coupon and purchase of sented oil. ON the coupon it states up too $1.99, well, my store charges $2.19...

Well I will say in my local grocery store they had b1g1 of kellogs cereal and then in my papaer had 1.00 off a single box of kellogs. They were on the 15 oz. so the cereal was 3.49 a box and then I used thr coupons. The people in line behind me were not very happy but then they heard how much I saved and they were like "WHAT?"

LOL! Trust me, they were jealous! I experienced the same when I went to Superfresh on early Sat. morning to take advantage of triple up to .99. My total bill was 89.68 and I saved 61.38 with sales and coupons for 97% of the products in my basket and my final bill was 28.20! I had alot of coupons which kinda of held up the line becasue I also had rainchecks for items from previous sales making about 7 products free.

That is why I like to go during the week first thing in the morning. I don't like the thought of holding others up. Plus I can take my time going up and down the aisles and I don't feel like I am in the way. I went on Sunday morning and I was all panicy because there were more people there than I am used too. It is was totally freaking me out.

Dont let it bother you save your money.

What I try to do is cut my coupons before I go to the store and staple it to the add.

The stores have more than what is advertised in the paper on sale so it is hard to have them all out...Plus I am not NEARLY that organized. I do cut out my coupons and have them filed in my binder though. I have never been one for making a list and sticking too it. If I make a list half the time I forget it, or I can't find it in my purse, or I forget it is in my purse. I am fortunate to have a store 1.7 miles from my house and on the way to school in the morning.

I was so excited today, I have to share! I transferred an rx to rite aid (that I needed anyway) and used coupon for $30 gift card with transfer. I used several coupons for items that I needed that are in their add this week. Total of $68.xx in merchandise, after using coupons and free gift card, I paid only $6.74 out of my own pocket!!

One of my best trips yet! :)

That is why I choose to shop early in the morning so that I would be able to get advertised items that were on sale.

I work in customer service and from my experience I must say, some transactions may take longer than others depending on the need of the customer. Unfortuantely, some people do not have any patience. I look at going grocery store like going to the bank, you dont know what is going to happen once you get in line. I have seen people that actually contribute to the line moving slower, for example, not having their money, credit or debit card, or checkbook out and ready to make the payment; they are busy fumbling around to locate their form of payment. That drives me crazy but I just wait my turn and I have patence.

When I'm saving money in the grocery store I just ignore the stares. When they see how much I saved they are usually very impressed. Not everyone will be but most seem to be.

I think it is awesome how much money you saved!! I've had people in line act snooty before. I don't care what they think, we'll be having a nice retirement from all the money we save. I've also had cashiers act so rude about it. In fact, at Publix yesterday the cashier saw me coming and before she started ringing up my items asked if I had any coupons today. She was so haughty and examined each coupon before completing the transaction. We always go on Sundays and Mondays for the penny item. I think they are watching for my family.

Total before coupons-$74.91
saved in specials-$25.78
my coupons-$17.30
SO, I spent-$31.69

PLUS....NOT included in those figures -I got 2 cartons of ice cream FREE for complaining about a glob of peanut butter in the middle (instead of rippled throughout) of 2 cartons of Ice cream I purchased over the past 2 weeks ANNNDDDD I got my money back on the 2 cartons I had purchased 2 weeks ago (@<hidden>$3.69) $7.38 in cash back. I actually had paid $2.50 each when I purchased them on sale 2 weeks ago....But they give the price of what it is now.

Total before-$82.29
specials- $33.16
coupons- $17.30
cash back-$7.38
Net spent - $24.30

I do feel weird though..First I complained about the ice cream and she gave that to me free plus gave me more ice cream then I had to come back because they messed up and didn't include a $2.00 coupon I had given them. I just wonder if they see me and say "what will she do this time."
They were all legit though....

One time I was in my local Walgreens. The cashier is an older women who works there all the time. There was only one line. When I pulled out my coupons she looked so annoyed and actually told the man behind me she would take him first! I couldn't believe it! Here I am with a with a baby in my cart, ready to go home, and she's telling the man he can cut in front of me.
The man did it but you could tell he felt really akward about it.
I still regret not walking over to the manager but I think I was in shock. I did send them an e-mail letting them know what happened. And I try to shop at the Walgreeens the next town over when possible.
