Totally surprised by this one! I wasn't expecting triples again until January!!

We just went out to buy a freezer to put in the garage. Turkeys are on sale until tomorrow for $.29 a lb when you buy $25.00 in groceries at Harris Teeter. I was chatting with my husband and commenting that I would buy a turkey now for Thanksgiving at that price but I have no room in my freezer. So today we went to Home Depot and got a small freezer. I am so happy, my freezer now is always stuff full and I get these great things when it is triple coupons and then come home and have to try and figure out where to put the food in the freezer. So I will save about $18 on this turkey buying it now. I need a 20lb turkey this year. Now I can buy more than 1 thing of Ice Cream at a time too!

i went to get my toothbrushes and crisco veg oil and commented to the manager "man triples came back quick" he said "we make so much money during triples it may become a monthly thing!!!!" i wanted to jump up and down right there.:yup: :eyepoppin
FYI if you get 20 GUM toothbrushes (.99) use the .75/1 you have $10.xx in overage and the crisco is B1G1F and you get 6 of those you pay .68 for all of it!!!!:)

HT SAYS they will take 2 internet coupons per receipt, but it is up to the cashier to enforce this. Most don't know that though.

Can I go to different Harris Teeters in one day or will it reject me based on my VIC card. Hmm if so I will be heading to Charlotte since we have only 1 close by and the other way on the other side of Gastonia.

You can go the same store more than once per day, at least that is my experience. In the past, I have put things in the car and walked right back in. There does not seem to be any sort of tracking linked to your VIC card and no one has ever given me any trouble. I know the rules say once per day, but it has never been enforced at my store, maybe they are just too busy to notice!

Kodis97- The possibility of triples every month is very exciting!! I would need more than a new freezer to hold all the stuff- probably a new kitchen and pantry!!

Just remember prices are higher in MECK than Gaston....I have the paper in front of me they changed my Harris Teeter to MecK county prices now, but it doesn't say that Gaston is included...

Yes that is the one. It takes about 5 minutes to get there. There is one way off Union Rd in Gastonia. I normally don't in the area. Looks like I should.

i personally have 3 cards (mine,moms, and mils) and yes your card will beep after using it 5 times. so since i have 3 cards i go to 3 stores and make 5 trips at each store. some stores will get grouchy and say you can only go 1 time, but if you live close go once in the am and then in the pm.

My husband loves that mall (reminds him of the olden days I guess).

If the other HT is bigger you might want to go to it. I haven't been in that one in the mall or any in Gaston County so I don't know. I do know that my HT is a smaller one (but not tiny like the ones in uptown), they don't have certain things like the Pillsbury cookie bars (they are SSSOOOO GOOD!) and a few other things like Kraft Select slices plus more.

I have no idea about the sizes of any of them other than I did go to one on Park Rd that was super small. Since I also have parent/teacher conference on Thursday I probably couldn't go to a store in Charlotte anyways. My husband has also promised to take our son to Billy Graham Library.

If you go to the HT website, and click on your specials for your area it will say in the top right hand corner, atleast it says it on mine this morning.

So what were the best triples people used today?

Free (actually they paid me) I got, Pancake mix, yeast, dip, hummas, coffee creamer, instant potatoes, uncle bens rice
Free-6-Dawn dish washing liquid (I use it for hand soap), 12 Vive shampoo or conditioner, plus some other stuff but I can't remember what because I did 7 trips.

The sunday papers are the best place to look for coupons I think.
