I have used coupons, I get some savings but nothing great. I would love to be able to be one of those people who go out and buy 300.00 dollars worth of groceries and only pay 50.00 but I have no idea how to do this, where to get the coupons. I looked on the sites mentioned here the one big problem I am having is it said I had to download the coupon printer bar. I could get it installed on my computer as far as the control panel shows but it doesnt work. With the price of everything going up gas and heating costs if I could still get the same amount of food that I get every two weeks which I spend around 230.00 for 75.00 or something my life would be great.

there are a couple sites you can buy coupons from, you can even buy coupons on Ebay.

http://www.thecouponclippers.com
http://www.thecouponmaster.com

These are the two I use most often

But why would you buy coupons? That doesnt seem to make sense to me. It does not seem like it would help you save that much.

It all depends on what and how much you are buying. Say you buy 10 shampoo coupons at 10 cents a coupon. That's 1.00, for 10.00 worth of coupons, so it's still a savings of 9.00 even though I paid for my coupons.

When you buy them you can pick coupons you KNOW you will use, instead of getting the Sunday paper every week and getting a bunch of coupons you know you will never use.

I agree with you. Sometimes a store could be running a great sale on items that you use every day or on something that you can stock pile; if it bring the cost way down, I would do the same. Also, I purchase two copies of the Sunday paper for $2.00 and also take coupons from my job from their newspapers.

Right now Superfresh is running Triple coupons again this week and I wish I had more coupons for certain items. According to my projected calculation, I will get a lot of items for free and for under .50.

Thank you for the link's I'm going to check them out.

Because the coupons usually cost like .05 - .10 cents each, and if you buy a bunch of .40 cents off coupons for .05 each and your grocery store is having a sale for $1 for something and will double your coupons you can get things for .20 each plus the .05 that you spent on the coupons, I get things free or for under .25 often.
