If you got the sunday paper on Sept 16th-
Did you get a coupon for Nestle Toll House chocolate chips? If so how much was it for and what state are you in?
I was gone all weekend and finally got to go through my coupon circulars today. I noticed that coupon and I wanted MORE...SO I went on ebay to aquire some. Mine is for $.50 off of ONE bag of chips. On ebay I found one person listing that one, but found several -$1.00 off of 3 bags. I also noticed the Kraft Parm cheese here it was $.50 off one and the ones I found listed were $1.00 off one, and $.55 off one and some $.50 off one. Here we have double coupons so I understand why I might have a $.50 off instead of $1.00 off (which is the same for me since I only shop where they double), but I don't understand why there is such a difference specifically on the Toll House. Is the price of a bag of chocolate chips that much cheaper in other states? From what I have noticed the coupons that require several item puirchase for cents off is usually for cheaper items like canned good (campbells soups or hunts tomatoes).
Anyone else ever sit here and ponder these questions?
I must not have much of a life.:yup:

but you don't know if their coupons are from the same weekends insert or where they came from, I find tons of coupons for sale that I've never seen in my paper, I don't think that I had any tollhouse coupons in my paper this past weekend, they could be from magazines or booklets from the manufacturer or from somewhere other than the sunday paper

I suppose. I never thought about it that way other than it looks just like the ones I got with different cents off amounts.

maybe they put better coupons in areas that their products don't sell as well? or maybe they try coupons for different amounts in different areas to see which ones get their sales up? or maybe they have already tried it and know which areas will be most likely to use which coupons? every time that I go to buy coupons I wonder why there are different ones than I get in my paper especially when there are coupons for a free product that were never in my paper.

I often get paper inserts from neighboring states. the dollar value, and the required purchase are often different. Iam sure a marketing specialist could explain the differences, but I can tell you it has been going on for years.
