Mine burst. What the best kind and are there any deals since I guess it could be considered a seasonal item?

Go to sears and buy a Craftsman. Yes it is initally more expensive at first, but they come with a lifetime warranty. They will replace the hose for free should it burst, get smashed, etc. I am on my 3rd one and it has been a good investment overall.
