I dont know if I am posting this in the correct place or not, but safeway has $20 off if you buy 20 select items. I bought 20 boxes of capri-sun which was one of the qualifying items, they were on sale 2 for $4.00, so my grand total for 20 boxes of capri-suns was $40.00 minus the $20.00, $1.00 a box!!! awesome deal. I am sure there are lots of other deals like that too, you just have to look.

You can really score big if you use coupons and other promotions (like the life cereal 4/$6 plus use the coupons for life from yesterday's inserts from the paper). The mission flavored wraps are .50 with this deal. The betty crocker cake mix and cookie mixes are .25 cents with this deal. Starting on Wednesday, there will be different items on sale- this promo runs to late sept (forget the date).
This is highly YMMV due to the computer system not recognizing all the participating products. Though CS is easy to work with to get the full $20 off. You should go by the shelf tag (it will show the watermarked $20 off emblem), and the ad from their weekly paper with some of the pictures on it.
Some good strategies I found:
1- divide your order up so that the 20 items are all rung up first (easier to find on the receipt when talking to CS about it).
2- if you are trying to double dip with another promotion (such as the buy for participating items, get $4 off- some of these are also in the $20 off promo), don't discuss the full $20 not coming off with the checker. It will just slow down the line, and she might tell you it didn't qualify because of cross promotions.
3- take the receipt to CS and show them where it DID take of $5 or $5 + $5 (which most of mine did), and they will give you the rest of the promotional dollar amount owed to you with very little hassle.
4- if you try to use one of the $10 off $50 coupons and they won't let you because your groceries come to way less than $50, check to see if you got the gas discount (you must reach $50 to get this) and point that out. I usually get my way when I argue that point. If they show you the small print about not being used WITH other promotions, you probably won't get the additional $10 off... but worth a shot.
I have done this deal about five times now, and never paid more than $10 for any of the batches (even with additional items added- such as a package of meat, etc).

Is there a list anywhere of what items are in the promotion? I like to get my coupons prepared ahead of time, especially if I am dragging along DD3.
