I just got an letter in the mail informing me of how Seisint (Who the heck are they?) and how some information of mine was possibly given up. They gave me a free subscription to the Equifax Identity Theft watch deal, and a ton of other stuff, but is there anything else I should be on the watch for?

I already subscribed (mainly since it was free) to the Identity Theft stuff from Equifax and pulled a Credit Report on me. Nothing looked suspicous.

With all these identity theft crimes going on, it's made me re-consider signing up for one of those credit watch programs.

It's really not a bad idea. I know from working in the collection business people will go to buy a house, or car, and then get denied because of these surprises on their credit report. It always kind of creates that moment of unnecessary anxiety. Normally they can be corrected with reletive ease, but it's still extra hassle that no one wants go to through.

I'm still trying to find out why I'm a client of Seisint. They seem to be some kind of debt consolidation or debt investigation business. I don't know why I'd ever deal with them.
