Informed Consent Information

By registering with ABLab, you will be invited to participate in research studies at ABLab. The purpose of ABLab studies is to provide insights into people’s behavior in business and social settings. Your registration information will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party.

When you receive an invitation to participate in a study, you will receive instructions for signing up for the study. The study may take place on the UCLA campus or online (i.e., online surveys you can do at your own computer). Studies typically pay $10 to $20 per hour. You will be paid in Cash, via your BRUIN card, via PayPal, or in gift certificates or products for each study.

Payment is made in private and you will be asked to sign a payment receipt. The receipt is for accounting purposes only and will not be linked to your responses.

Your registration with the ABLab is voluntary. I noticed that the number of registrations went up significantly in the past few days -- which was unusual since we did not advertise the lab. Additionally, I saw sign-ups every 1-8 minutes. Since this was the case, registration to members outside of the UCLA community was temporarily disabled. Registration will be restored by noon today (6/20/2007). We would like non-UCLA people to take part in our studies. The reason we restricted registration to only UCLA community members was due to the unknown rise in registration for non-UCLA members since we didn't advertise. It was only until this morning that I received an e-mail that referred me to this site. Otherwise, we suspected that one person or a small group of people was creating duplicate accounts. Hope this information helps.

do you check the "timeslots available?" Their studies for us ( I mean non students) are far and few in between.. So far they have emailed when there is one available, but I still check all listed on their site frequently, like I do Stanford, I keep a window open strictly for them as they fill up almost instantly..:gdflower3:
