amazon question??

im not sure if this is the right place to post this....

i had just placed an order through amazon, and wanted to pay for my order with my gc's...i went to check out and now i see that my payment info has changed...i called amazon and they said that when i emptied my cookies the last time i deleted info relating to payment information and now i cant place my order untill i enter either my banking info or a credit card info...if i have a money in my dang gc account then why in the heck do they need my other info?? she really wasnt clear, sounded like she was just reading what the most appropriate response should be...not much help.:(

has anyone else dealt with this? and once i enter my additional info..will the amount be deducted from the bank account or my gc...:confused: :confused:

Hmm. Something about this isn't right. I have emptied my cookies zillions of times. The only way it has had an effect on my Amazon account is the site doesn't automatically recognize me and my email addy. Simply logging in again has fixed that. My banking info had never been affected.

As long as you are certain you are on the genuine site just go ahead and give them your info again. The system doesn't recognize your GC balance until the next page after where you choose your payment method. Sometimes you can have 20.00 in GC in your account but the order total is 30.00. They will need to take the remaining balance from your chosen payment method.

after much pondering......i figured out what i did....:blush: my order was for 36.45 i had 36.35 in gc....dont know why it wasnt computing..duhhh...i just got off the phone with amazon and will be able to 'redo' my order later and have the order amount 'under' my gc amount....;) i wonder how i can figure out how to put on my own shoes sometimes ;) :bonk:
