A small percentage of women have severe symptoms associated with their menstrual cycle. This is known as premenstrual dysphoric disorder, or PMDD. PMDD is a serious condition that often goes undiagnosed and untreated.
Symptoms of PMDD are similar to those of PMS, but are more severe and can interfere with work, social activities, and relationships. These symptoms include:
•Depression
•Anxiety and mood swings
•Angry outbursts
•Irritability
•Decreased interest in usual activities
•Fatigue
•Change in appetite
•Sleep problems
•Physical problems such as bloating, headaches, muscle and joint pain
If you or someone you knows suffers from these symptoms, call 512-380-9595 for more information.
This study will evaluate the effectiveness of a new treatment for the symptoms associated with PMDD. You may be eligible for this study if you are:
•Between the ages of 18 and 49
•Generally healthy
Study visits are once a month and you are compensated for time and travel once enrolled in the study.
Location: Central Austin
Compensation: up to $1100
