Just wondering if anyone knows how I can get a better deal at Newegg. They are already decently priced, but hey, I am not a member here for nothing. LOL

I've never once come across a code for them, and I've been ordering from them since 2002 (24 orders altogether).

Yep. I remember them having coupons a year or so ago that were only good on single products, but nothing since and nothing good on all items.

That's odd b/c i've been getting codes from them for specific things and sometimes all things. But then again I have ordered a ton of things in the past few months.

sissykus what are you looking in to buying?

Well, I should clarify... I've seen codes for specific things, usually the very high-end items, but they are publicly available (listed right with the item).

Oic, works perfect for me though the more expensive things also come with better bells and whistles being the computer geek that I am. They arrive via e-mail and are not publicly available . If you haven't gotten the e-mail's that they have sent out (3) in the past few weeks I would make sure they have the correct e-mail address.

My husband wants this for his birthday.

Western Digital Caviar WD800BB 80GB 7200 RPM 2MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive - OEM

It is already pretty inexpensive, but even more would be better.

It looks like that drive is $41.99 plus shipping. Personally, I'd kick in the extra $2.00 to get one with an 8MB cache. You'll gain some data transfer speed.

80GB/8Mb cache:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144122

If you think he'll use the space, the 120GB/8MB cache is $55.99 plus shipping:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144118

And the 160GB/8MB cache is $64.99 plus shipping:
