I am looking for a deal on a dress/veil for my dd's upcoming First Communion. I dont want to spend more than $50-$60 total, but I want something that looks good.

you might want to try ebay. a few years ago, i bought my dd's baptismal gown off there. it came with the gown, a shawl, a blanket, hat, bib, booties, headband and i paid $100. i know it a little more than you want to pay and i'm sure your DD was older than mine(she was 6 mo old) but im sure you can find something on there. good luck!

We found dresses at JC Penney. They are for a wedding, but they will do for a first communion also.

Try a wedding dress place in your area, if you do not want to save the dress you could even just rent it. We have done this a few times in our family and renting it cost less than $40 and it fits them perfect!! Good Luck!!

Sears/Penney's, Value City, Gabe's

The cheapest I saw them at JC Penneys was around $69.00 and that was just a dress. I got mine at the Military PX when I made my communion.

Last year I bought my daughter's Communion dress from Dresskids.com.
I just did not like anything I saw at JCPenney's or Sears.
(I also bought my sons christening outfit from them 2 years ago]

They have some in the $50-$60 price range. They also hair accessories.
The quality was excellent.

Of course you will have to pay for shipping.

Check Marshall's and T J Maxx--they have them from time to time and the price is sooo cheap. Also Nordstrom's Rack if there is one near you. If First Communion is after Easter, some stores carry white dresses for Easter that they then discount. (Here First Communion is end of May/first part of June).
