I'm getting really tired of these things. They act like they want the average Jill to test these things then they ask over technical things, like the brand of the Ethernet device. Yes, I know the brand of mine but they probably have never heard of it because I have a huge desktop replacement laptop that no one has ever heard of. Oh well I don't need another darn wireless device that never works when the military jets go overhead.

I've been doing beta testing with Centercode for about 2 years now. I've started 5 and completed 4 (one went for a "new build", and never came back).
The last one I did was a comparison test with 2 different mice. I got to keep the best one, and I think they're also supposed to be awarding Amazon gc's as well. The gc's are between $50.00-$75.00, depending on your participation in the forums.
I love this company!

No. This company has been around a long time with a stellar reputation. The software testing is nowhere near the first project, of this type, they have conducted. If they were about scamming people they wouldn't have lasted this long. There are no scams posted on this board.

I can't remember and I threw away the package, I thought it was UPS but I did so much shopping online I may have it mixed up with Christmas packages. Sorry I can't be anymore help. I would email them and ask you never know, it will probably come when you email them wondering where it is.lol;)

Thanks, anyhow. I got an email saying that they were shipped out last week, so hopefully it will come soon.

How long does it usually take for them to tell you about the compensation? I did a test for them that ended in November and haven't really heard about anything yet.

Sometimes both. Sometimes just one or the other.

If you sign up and are accepted for a test, you must sign a (N D) non disclosure agreement, it says you can't talk about what you are testing to anyone not associated with that test. Just pointing that out. If you DO talk about the test outside the test, you will be excused from testing.

Just a FYI

:)

If anyone notices the Non disclosure agreements are being violated, or people are posting how to qualify for things, posting what got them disqualified, posting how to beat the system, take a survey a second time, etc.... (we've all seen those kinds of posts on sleazy deal sites) just mod the post(s).

Do not call them out on it. Simply hit the red x to the left of the post, list the problem and the mods will take action. Sometimes it's an honest mistake.

This is a clean, honest board and members like it that way. Just click the x and let us deal with it.

Post as much as you can/like. We love that.

umm...that's what that red x is for...hehe;) Thanks Miranda...saw you fixed my post...
Another note to add is not all survey sites are the same....but they do usually post the ND agreements, so just try and catch it before you accidently violate it. No biggie in my book, but yah, I guess if they wanted to get sticky they could boot you....kinda like the pinecone thing...Just have fun and maybe make something doing it!:D

Major Upgrades at OnlineBeta.com
We've been hard at work improving all aspects of OnlineBeta.com.

New Interface and Beta Tester Features
We're pleased to announce that we've upgraded OnlineBeta.com to our latest software release. This update includes many features aimed at improving your beta testing experience. Click here to read more about these features.

Public Betas Coming Soon
We've had a long-standing issue of too few beta testing positions to keep up with the growing size of our community. To help remedy this problem, we will soon be hosting a variety of open public betas on OnlineBeta.com. These betas will be available exclusively to our community and will give all members a chance to show off their beta testing skills - increasing their opportunities to be invited to additional private beta tests. Public betas are scheduled to start soon and we’ll work to keep them coming in the months ahead.

Open OnlineBeta.com Community Project
As part of our new update we've opened a new project to our entire community. This project isn't a traditional beta test, but rather a place for beta testers around the world to meet, talk about beta testing, publicize betas, and participate in other beta testing related activities. We’ll also be inviting beta managers and companies from around the world to use our forums to announce their own beta tests to our members. To join this project, simply log in and click OnlineBeta.com Community in the opportunities section of your homepage.

Please Log In to Refresh Your Information!
As part of our overhaul, and in preparation for Public Betas, we're asking that all of our members resubmit their user profile and provide basic updated test platform profiles. As part of our clean-up phase, we'll be removing all users who don’t log in within the next 30 days, so please do so as soon as possible. When you do, you'll be immediately prompted with simple instructions to continue. There are also a number of opportunities available today.

Log into OnlineBeta.com
Tip: Your username is *******

Thanks and keep up the great work,
OnlineBeta.com Team @<hidden> Centercode, Inc.

P.S. Are You Developing a Product?
If so, we can help you get the most out of the beta testing process by managing an effective beta test for you, introducing our community to you, or providing the software necessary to build your own community and/or manage your own beta tests. Please contact sales@<hidden> or visit www.centercode.com to learn more about what we can do to help you improve your product with the valuable help of your customers.

Not Interested?
You are being sent this because at some point you signed up for OnlineBeta.com. If you'd like to opt-out of OnlineBeta.com and our future Beta Testing Opportunities, please click here, or e-mail optout@<hidden> for assistance.

I don't know for certain but it may say that because they are no longer accepting applications. I was able to apply for both when they first sent out the emails for them. They have something like 30,000 - 40,000 people in their data base. Many people apply for these as soon as notifications are sent out because of how difficult it can be to get chosen and because so many people apply. Are you a member in their data base? If not, I highly recommend going to the site and signing up. You will receive notices of beta tests when they are first launched if you are in their system. :)

Centercode is pleased to announce the first public beta test being offered exclusively to our OnlineBeta Community members. While the number of participants in a test is usually limited, this project allows you to be engaged in beta testing and get a first look at a new software application.

Dyyno is an exciting new application that allows you to share your screen with others. Popular with video game enthusiasts, you simply run the software and broadcast what you are doing. With this application you can help a buddy navigate a tough map, show off some new photos, or help Grandma learn to use Internet Explorer. With Dyyno you have an easy and fast way to show things over the Internet without exposing your system to security risks.

Your involvement in this beta test will not only help Dyyno maximize the quality and usability of their product; it gives you a chance to show Centercode your skills as a beta tester. We will be monitoring this project to identify the participants we believe would be valuable contributors in future projects. In addition, the top performers on this test will be eligible to receive one of the two $50 gift certificates being awarded each week of this test. So get engaged and have some fun, and you could end up with some extra cash to spend!

Please click the link below to log into your OnlineBeta account and begin testing! We hope you enjoy participating in this exciting project and look forward to offering more opportunities like it in the near future.

Laptops offer excellent portability but often suffer when it comes to the monitor. You just don't get the same level of visibility that you do with a desktop computer. Many times tilting your laptop screen seems to be the only option to make it easier to view. Centercode is looking for people who want to expand the visibility of their laptop screen without having to invest in a new monitor.

If you love your laptop but wish that the screen was at eye level like your other computer monitors, we have a product for you to test. This new product helps your laptop screen height get closer to a regular monitor levels without complex connectivity. We are looking for all levels of users who own either a Mac or PC laptop.

Smaller keyboards are always an option, but many suffer from lesser functionality than their larger counterparts. If you fit the above description, please apply for this test. For this test, we prefer testers who are using their computers at home or in their home office and that are running Windows XP or Vista as their operating systems.

With all of the improvements in high-speed internet connectivity, people are able to stay in touch more than ever before. Through web cams and chat programs they can easily communicate even though they are far from home. Our client has come up with a product that aims to provide both an easy to use interface and excellent video quality in one package.

This is a unique beta test which will consist of three people working together to test this product. We need to find people with two friends, colleagues or family members that will be willing to use the product to video chat with you. They will need to register on the Centercode site along with you if they do not already have an account.

We are looking for testers of all experience levels with XP or newer Windows based or Mac OS Tiger or Leopard based computers. You will also need to have a high-speed internet connection. You do not need to have a webcam to participate.

Remember, being a beta test volunteer means spending time daily engaged in testing and providing feedback in the Centercode system. If you are unwilling to commit to participate in the beta test, do not apply for this opportunity. We invite anyone with a computer at home to apply for this test!

Centercode has a new opportunity for people who own DIY (Do-It-Yourself) IP Cameras. A new community has been established to explore how people use these cameras in their personal life, what features they use and what they would like to see in future technologies.

A DIY IP network camera is easy to use and can be setup without the need for a professional installer. It is typically attached to a wired or wireless network and is used in surveillance or for monitoring activities in a home or small business. A normal DIY camera can capture and send compressed video over a network and be checked from your laptop, desktop and other Internet enabled device.

If you currently own one or more of these cameras and want to help drive the future of this technology, please click the following link and register to be a part of this panel.

https://dvs.centercode.com/signup/default.html?sid={0748E218-FCAA-4D0A-B38D-6BC473D284C3

This is a new community. You will need to complete a new profile. If you have an existing profile with OnlineBeta or other Centercode service it will not work. These cameras are not "webcams" which are typically used for two-party calls with software like Skype.
