There is a time limit but I think you have like a year to use it. The expiration date would be in the email.

If you haven't already, you will receive a confirmation email from the completed survey, followed by the actual email with your GC from amazon.com..You can either spend it at Amazon.com using the GC number at checkout or you can add it to your Amazon.com account for future use..

Thanx all for the input. Now do I just enter the code at checkout? And can it be used on anything sold on Amazon's site? What I mean is does it have to be sold by amazon itself or can it be used to buy anything from someone who is listed as a merchant ? Thanx again

Are you talking about Amazon Gift Certificates sent by email or e-certificates? They are two different things. An Amazon GC will have Amazon written all over it. The expiration date will be included in the email. If you do not want to hang onto the email but do not want to use the GC right now you do not have to. Go to Amazon. Click on "My Account: Scroll down to where it says "Add A Gift Certificate" Input the code and click "Submit" The next page will offer you the option to enter more codes. The next time you check out the system will automatically deduct the amount you have stored in credit from your account.

e-certificates are a different story. The only thing I know for sure is they can be used at many different online locations. How you find the online retailers that take them is beyond me. I have never received one and never opt for them. I have no reason for not opting for them other than I am not familiar with them. I don't like to mess with things that are unfamiliar when it comes to online stuff and money. I a too new to the tech. era.

Oh, and you can use your certificates for Anything sold at Amazon. Yup, even private sellers.

I am presuming that testspin, lightspeed and the turbo tax beta tester award is amazon certificates and not the e-certificates. I have never cashed out from testspin or lightspeed so it is a guess.
