Hi All,
Why are widescreens all the rage? Are you guys really out there watching DVD's in 16:9 miniature on your laptops?
I use my laptop every day for several hours and I drag it back and forth between home and office. I don't really care how much it weighs if the screen can just be big enough for me to read without squinting.:smart: I bought a widescreen last time but returned it immediately since the shorter screen turned out to be much smaller for emails and web-surfing space. Increasing the font size only decreases the amount of information on the screen even more.
So: internet, email and photographs are my main computer purposes. Don't care about weight--I just want a big squarish screen. I guess if I had some burning capability, I'd work with some of my digital camera movies. I use wireless when in the car. Hoping for under $1000.
Oh, and here's kind of a funny thing: I don't even know what to call "not widescreen" to do searches. Thanks so much for any help or suggestions or (yay!) deals anyone has for me.
Best,
Candall
