What does it mean when it says it excludes eBay payments made to Personal accounts? Does this mean you can only pay business accounts? How do you know if you are paying a person or a business when you purchase something?

Btw, looks like this Paypal rebate is limited to 1 per person or Paypal account whereas the Google Checkout is good for multiple uses. Or did I read that wrong?

I think going to the auction page and clicking on the 'pay now' button to pay via paypal is exactly what they want you to do. What they don't want is for you to login to paypal and click on 'send money' to pay the seller. Hope that was clear. ;)

Unfortunately, TRU is not one of their merchants.

I don't think there's any restriction to what you can buy, as long as it's not for 'services'. Just my take tho.

I think you still had to sign up for that deal even if you already had a PayPal account. They are not going to just give everybody that has a PayPal account surprise rebates after the beginning of the year unless they would sign up and do the deal.

I'm wondering the same thing too. I signed up for it and never received email verification. I would love to order George a new bed from this wonderful eBay seller and while I don't "need" an extra bed, it sure would be handy especially with getting the $20 back at a later date.

I'm wondering about the 'one rebate per person/account' restriction. Is it per email (which we had to register) or per credit card? My paypal account is linked to 2 email logins. I wonder if that would still qualify as 2 different 'persons'. Or if it needs to be a whole different account which requires another credit card to be registered. LOL clear as mud I'm sure. Any thoughts?

It's a frustrating process. Different paypal reps tell me a different story. From what I can gather, we're supposed to get a confirmation email 4-6 weeks after the purchase telling us whether we qualified. Doesn't make sense IMO since that means we don't find out until it's too late. Google Ckout was so much easier!

Guess it's too late to sign up. :(

I got my $20 deposit today as well, it wasn't specific about where I had made my purchase, but I assume it was eBay but I use all the etailers who take PayPal. It showed up before I expected it to. I thought I had read that it wasn't supposed to show up until after 12/31

I made a purchase on Barnes and Noble totaling $60 so I can get the $20 back - but the payment was processed as two smaller amounts adding to $60 - why did this happen and will I still get my $20?!?!

I made the purchases in the first two weeks of November. I had forgotten about the deal. The money was just there in my account w/o an email from Paypal. I was reading the forums and remebered that I had signed up thanks to Gottadeal!

I got $20 from paypal today and I have no idea what for! I was surprised to see it in my account. I only used paypal 3 times for over $50 and I didn't think either of them qualified. So it was a nice little bonus.

I made my purchase Dec. 19th and received my $20 last week. Hope everyone who got in on the deal receives theirs soon.
