Just called Amazon because the price was lowered since I put in my order and it was no problem getting the adjustment. I now paid $24 for the mp3 player and $4 for the mummy game.

My ordered is on the way. I should have gotten the books I wanted at the same time but forgot. I did order the Polly Pocket car, a paint set , and the MP3 player. I did the MP3 for my 15 year old who is prone to breaking thinks, most recent is the screen to the calculator. I think he will enjoy it though and if he breaks it I will not have to be upset.

I got one for $2 yesterday for a stocking stuffer. And I also had bought the Queen flannel sheets on the 10th for $16.99. I ordered more yesterday at $13.99, and wrote to Amazon asking for a $3 credit in the difference. They did it! So that difference just paid for the Baby Ariel doll for my daughter's stocking! :) I love Amazon!!!

I heard the same thing. Which is to bad. Last year around christmas time I got toys that was reg 50-60 bucks for $5 -$10 shipped! I am wondering if they will do that this year also. I sure hope so! I don't know, maybe some of the sale stuff's prices are back up to original cost when you go to amazon? :g_shrug:

I could do that. I love to sew, so that wouldn't be a problem. But what happens if I can't find good stuff cheap next year? Won't they be disappointed? This is the first year that I've done MAJOR shopping on Amazon. Do they do these awesome sales every year?


I think they do some throughout the year. But, if you watch all year long, and pick up stuff after christmas and other holidays, you should be good. And depending on their ages, they might be thrilled this year, but give them some excuse about next year if you can't swing it. My kids are so spoiled, they have no clue what they get from one year to the next.

Another thing to do, if they are small enough, is garage sale over the summer. You can find tons of new toys, cheap.

But, don't make the same mistake again, and buy all year long, then cash in on amazon's sale. Then you'll have something even bigger to trump next year. Trust me, my son lost 7 teeth in 3 weeks this summer. The 1st just fell out, but it was after the ATM closed, so we gave him a b-day present we had stashed in the closet. Then he had a horrible accident and knocked out 2 more.. then we had to trump the $20 b-day present. Then his baby sister knocked one out, then another accident. Finally on the last one we left a $ and gave up... he was happier with a dollar than all these toys.

Moral: simple things are sometimes best... (but as a parent, that rule is hard to follow)

Poor Little guy at least they are baby teeth. My son has always gotten toys fromt he tooth fairy it's cheaper then cash and they I don't have to hear "can we go the store" a million times. Hope he keeps the teeth he has left!
