Since Chase and Bank One are merging, if I have a Bank One CC, will this a) Improve my chances of getting approved for the Chase Perfect Card b)Have little to no effect on getting approved for the Chase Perfect Card.

Also, I notice now that Chase has a $19 annual fee for the Perfect card...should I wait until they drop that? Or do you think the fee is here to stay?

It could go both ways.

Good - Chase can see you have an established Bank One credit card, you make your payments on time, you are a good customer.
Bad - you already have a Bank One credit card, this would only be adding to your potential debt.

Read the fine print, it usually says make 9 purchases and that is waived.

When you do apply for the Chase Perfect Card please use this link (http://www.gottadeal.com/click.php?id=2000) and help support GottaDeal.com :)

Thank you!

i don't know what's wrong with chase, or if i just have their crappiest card, but they refuse to allow me to have both online access and mailed statements. i have to remember each month to print out my statement online.

if i have statements mailed to me again, i can't pay online.

every single cc i have except this one allows me to do this. argh.

Cindy, what do you mean by "online access"?

I receive printed statements via US Postal Mail and can access my account online at chasecreditcard.com

they won't let me view my statement online if i receive paper ones in the mail.
