View Full Version : Question on printing coupons
Many of the coupons have color on them. Does anyone know if it is ok to print them in just black?
The reason I ask is because my boss will let me print them from work but it is a laser jet (no color option).

I only have black ink at the moment too, and I have printed all mine with just black, and I've been using them like crazy just fine! I think as long as that bar code is on there, you're ok!
:D Super!
Thank you for your reply. I will be busy printing coupons at work today.
JustMeDiana 9-29-2006, 9:03 PM :yup: :gdiagree::yup: Same here. I also print color rebates in black.
abailey10 10-4-2006, 10:20 PM I always print mine in greyscale, and have had no problem redeeming them. I think as long as the barcode is readable, they should be accepted.
Jenh1973 10-8-2006, 4:06 PM I've never had a problem using coupons when all black.
Does anyone know if it's allowed, to photo copy a printed coupon and use? Will it work? You know how some of these coupons only allow you to print out a max of 2.

I think on the oxy coupon thread, someone over there saved the coupon to there computer, and printed them out like you would if you saved a picture.
motoXmom 10-9-2006, 8:23 AM Oh how I wish the stores around me would take computer printed coupons. The only ones that ever took them was like the one for VS where you printed it out and got a free purse size perfume. Other than ones like that none of our stores take them.
love2beurwifey 10-16-2006, 3:57 PM I have printed with just black before and have had no problem with using them

Coupons say "void if copied" on them & I think that it's illegal and a lot of them print your name on them or a unique # on them, so they could keep track and know if there are copies of a coupon

My walmart does not take computer printer coupons. So, today, I went through the self scan checkout and had NO problem using the computer printed. They scanned just fine. I used the Bertolli $3 coupon and the Oxiball coupon.
ReallyNeatGirl 11-3-2006, 5:38 PM Our walmart is the same way. A person won't accept them, but the computers will. I just know if I have problems with a printed one to not ask for any help with it.
