I received this supposed survey in an email, I don't know if it is a scam or phishing email though. I looked on the Consumer Reports site but could not find the name given in the email as a staff member.
Has anyone seen this before? Is it fake or real?
We subscribe to the magazine and the website, and it was sent to my wife...the magazine comes in her name, not mine, so it may be real. Also, it was sent to an email I have registered with CR which I rarely use and receive no spam at.
Dear :
I'm hoping you have a few minutes to help me with a project we're working on at Consumer ReportsŪ. To begin, simply click here.
I selected your name as one of our online subscribers who could tell us about their experiences with phone service for an upcoming article.
Since you're part of a select group receiving this survey, your answers are essential to the accuracy of the study.
Your responses are totally confidential. I'll be combining them with the experiences of other subscribers like you. You will not be asked to buy any products as a result of any answers you provide.
To thank you for your valuable time, you may win a year's extension of your subscription to ConsumerReports.orgŪ. I'll be selecting 10 lucky people from those who respond to this survey. You'll be notified by e-mail if you're a winner.
To begin, simply click here.
If you have any problems taking this survey, click here for answers to Frequently Asked Questions.
Just think, next time you see an article on phone service you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped create this informative review!
Thanks again for helping me with this project!
