View Full Version : Test Spin ~ Survey Site
kc#erica 9-19-2006, 12:10 AM I have gotten alot of surveys from them and it seems like everything's going fine and after a while it'll say your answers didn't meet the criteria to fully qualify (or something to that extent) but it's not like the other surveys where they say that after the first few prequalifying questions, it pops up well into the survey, like when you should be done or done soon...I guess what I'm trying to say is it seems like they get all the answers they need and then say you don't qualify to get out of paying the funky $2 so I'm wondering if other people have noticed this.
TnDimples 9-19-2006, 12:51 AM some people have good luck with testspin. I am one of those who i think may have qualified for one survey out of 50. :( and yes i have taken a survey and since i had answered alot of questions i figured i was actually doing the survey then all of a sudden they say sorry. lots of other people have the same problem though its not just us.
lennon2004 9-19-2006, 6:28 AM Yes, I've finished surveys from them before.
duckbrain 9-19-2006, 6:56 AM I've finished some but not many...I probably have about $8.30 just sittin in my account SLOWLY adding up
elite2058 9-19-2006, 7:17 AM I have done many surveys and then dont qualify, frustrating.
davidbugs 9-19-2006, 8:54 AM nope not me
KBsDarling 9-19-2006, 9:14 AM i have $2 in my account so i must have finished at least one but I too hate when you go through a long pre qual. I think once it starts asking about the product/business that the survey is for It is the survey not the prequal....ticks me off each time LOL
tyler99199 9-19-2006, 9:22 AM I have tried many but qualified for few. But they did credit my account when I qualified
I've had pretty good luck with this panel. I've made $56 since April 2005 (which for me is really good), but it seems to come in waves. I won't qualify for anything at all for awhile, and then all of a sudden I seem to qualify for everything.
olemissreb123 9-19-2006, 10:11 AM none a t all
dineaux 9-19-2006, 10:42 AM I get about 50.00 a month in Amazon Certificates. I think I can only earn about 175 more this year. I have gotten booted out a couple of times but never after 4-5 questions. That stinks.
tessvasicek 9-19-2006, 11:04 AM I must have weird demographics, because Testspin seems to love me. I've cashed out $60 in Amazon gc's since July, and have another $4 sitting in the account at the moment. Now some of the other "can't miss" survey sites are another story, heh.
civicracinggirl7 9-19-2006, 3:47 PM I haven't had any luck with them either. I get the same thing, where I usually end up going through the survey until just about the end and then they kick me out of it after they've received all of my opinions. :(
antennaball 9-20-2006, 3:59 PM I made about $75 in the last 4 months
I hardley DON't qualify
bugsette 9-20-2006, 4:12 PM I have probably tried taking about 12 surverys from them and never qualify
Edgemonster 9-20-2006, 5:59 PM Same problem here..I go through the survey for what seems like forever thinking I've just about completed it and then am told I didn't qualify.
bugsette 9-20-2006, 6:05 PM I know I wish they would tell you after about 3-4 questions that you don't qualify
olemissreb123 9-21-2006, 1:53 PM I never qualify
tyler99199 9-21-2006, 3:32 PM I checked and I am still stuck on 7.00 in my account.
peanut92973 9-22-2006, 2:57 PM yes i have 13.00 in my account now it took awhile to get it. all i can say is keep trying.
websoccermom 9-26-2006, 11:02 PM I have never qualified either. It is really discouraging to spend 15 minutes and then suddenly you don't qualify.
civicracinggirl7 9-26-2006, 11:41 PM Wow, I actually had one yesterday or so (I DID NOT QUALIFY) that I only had to go through 2 questions before i was DNQ'ed lol.
elite2058 9-27-2006, 9:11 AM I took a long, long survey and then DNQ'ed. Boy does it make you mad.
kbrady2 9-27-2006, 12:09 PM I have gotten paid numerous times, however I get "not qualified" several times also, but mostly when I am only in the demographics questions part. Just think if you had to take the whole survey how long some of them would be. Sometimes I get sooo bored taking them I end up giving up.
bugsette 9-27-2006, 4:44 PM they just sent me 6 in the last 2 days did not qualify
For my first 6 - 8 months with them I had the same luck as you. Suddenly things picked up with them and I was getting in every survey and making a min. of (2) 10.00 GCS a months. I have no idea what the sudden change was about.
JustMeDiana 9-27-2006, 9:31 PM I just checked my account. I have completed 2 surveys for a big 3 bucks!!! :gdshocked:
I just checked my account. I have completed 2 surveys for a big 3 bucks!!! :gdshocked:
I have $4.00 sheesh
I get at least 2 surveys a day. I really enjoy them and qualify for about 50 percent of them. It takes a long time to get the credit. But I love those amazon gift. Cert. when they come
jkwife 9-30-2006, 10:54 AM I just took 5 surveys in a row and did not qualify for any of them. Some of them I spent 2 or 3 minutes on, only for them to tell me I didn't qualify. I hardly ever qualify for one of their surveys.
fairydustcrissy 10-4-2006, 11:52 AM My balance is $1.00. I have been with them for several YEARs..and I have 1.00. LMAO.
shay_n_sc 10-4-2006, 12:19 PM I haven't had any luck either - I have $3.00 in my account and it took me about 3 months just to earn that.
imaguy1010101010 10-7-2006, 3:43 AM I love testspin along with Opinion outpost and Marketpoints. Testspin has given me $20 so far, opinion outpost has given me $25 and so far i have 650 points with Market. This is in about a 2 month span though. The best by far is pinecone. I have made at least $50.
Sedona 10-11-2006, 1:17 PM I usually receive 3-5 surveys in a week but only 1 or 2 qualified.
I spend a long time to do their surveys and takes long time to get credited to my account. I receive $20 so far.
TnDimples 10-11-2006, 1:52 PM My balance is $1.00. I have been with them for several YEARs..and I have 1.00. LMAO.
I beat you i got $2 ROTFLMAO
i think i have tried like 100 surveys and qualified for one. I told someone if the survey was for females age 36 living in chattanooga on my street in my house I would still probably not qualify :D
try lightspeed I do pretty good with them, its points based but it can add up fairly quickly. I cashed out for $15 to my paypal and it was in there in 3 days! that was pretty cool :)
krstee 10-12-2006, 4:50 PM I love testspin along with Opinion outpost and Marketpoints. Testspin has given me $20 so far, opinion outpost has given me $25 and so far i have 650 points with Market. This is in about a 2 month span though. The best by far is pinecone. I have made at least $50.
I have gotten $20 from testspin (daughter got a tricycle for her birthday with that Amazon g/c). Lately I have been ignoring their emails b/c I get DNQ'd so often. Maybe I'll start back - who knows... maybe another $20 in a year? lol!
I'd love to qualify for more Pinecone studies, but it seems like I get 1 a quarter. :(
bugsette 10-12-2006, 6:38 PM just tried to take 3 yesterday and did not qualify again
peanut92973 10-13-2006, 7:54 AM yes i have a couple of times
tessvasicek 10-13-2006, 12:52 PM Weirdness, I'm closing in on $80 earned with them since July of this year, they normally seem to do a decent job of only sending me invites to surveys that I'll qualify for. (The exception being the IT professional surveys I get a couple times per month)
It really is weird how some sites seem to be winners for a ton of people but suck for me *coughOTXcough*, while other not-so-good sites are great for me. I guess I'm just a weirdo, lol.
lawork 10-15-2006, 7:20 PM I love Testspin. I signed up around August 2005. In 2005 I got about $30. This year so far I have received $190 in gift certificates! I will admit I qualify for a lot of the IT surveys.
tarah86 10-15-2006, 10:54 PM I 've done great this year with testspin, they send me a lot more now than last year. I usually get booted out of some from the first or fifth question. I hate when I get booted out from the first question though, I just got started.
KBsDarling 10-16-2006, 10:16 AM i would rather boot out at the first Q then after doing all the on a scale of 1 to 10 how much do you agree pages and THEN getting booted
tyler99199 10-16-2006, 1:18 PM Just checked my account again and I am up to 12.00. Been with them since since August
websoccermom 10-21-2006, 7:05 PM I am through with Test Spin. I just spent 15 minutes on a $1.00 survey only to be told I don't quality. It was supposed to be an ez 10 minute survey. I answered a bunch of opinion questions on voIP, got to what is usually the end demographics questions only to be booted after it asked my street address and zipcode.
That was 15 minutes of my life I can't get back.
kc#erica 10-22-2006, 9:23 AM It's really funny because I started this post because I was getting soo frustrated with going through what seems like a whole survey and then getting the you don't qualify message...but now, a couple weeks later or so, I've been getting quite a few surveys from them from $1-$4 and it seems like I've actually been able to finish and get the screen that says I've successfully finish and will be getting the credit in my account. As far as it being there in my account, it's too soon to tell now because it says something like it takes 4-6 weeks AFTER the survey has been CLOSED so we'll see. I hope it's getting better for everyone but I wanted to let everyone know who has been feeling like I did so you know there might still be a chance but it sucks going through a whole survey and then getting the you don't qualify screen.
lancensheri 10-23-2006, 10:21 AM take at least 2 a day and NEVER qualify!
Testspin is sending out a $8.00 survey for people who deal with the electri utlity for their company. Only takes about 10 minutes! Hope some of you qualify!
bugsette 11-2-2006, 4:57 PM I didn't qualify.....
TnDimples 11-2-2006, 7:10 PM i have gotten $2 in 7 months :( so i don't even do their surveys now, I wish i could give that $2 to someone cause i would.
jarerice 11-2-2006, 7:25 PM i got in this one. But how long will it take for Test Spin to post my money?
i got in this one. But how long will it take for Test Spin to post my money?
4-6 weeks after the survey closes.
jarerice 11-2-2006, 10:21 PM 4-6 weeks after the survey closes.
Thanks!!!:gdthankyou:
tyler99199 11-28-2006, 2:22 PM New question for an older post:
Has anyone had trouble getting credited from testspin for surveys you completed?
New question for an older post:
Has anyone had trouble getting credited from testspin for surveys you completed?
Yes. This is why I keep records, or, at the very least, I save the survey invite until my account is credited. When too much time has passed I forward them the survey information and request payment that is due. The situation has always been quickly rectified.
"This is why I keep records, or, at the very least, I save the survey invite until my account is credited. " - this is mmm40's quote.
I do the same, I have a separate folder in my e-mail for each survey site and then I move the one I qualified for to that folder.
blkallure 11-29-2006, 12:00 AM I have $2.00 and I think they are a bit sneaky. I don't qualify for anything.
pastasalad 11-29-2006, 12:44 AM RARELY
this site and survey spree are wearing on my nerves...i would rather put my efforts into ones that i actually can qualify for and that pay...survey spree is more of an IWG thing and test spin well at least for me its been very hard to qualify
rr69x2 11-29-2006, 2:53 AM I've been a member about 8 months and have $17.00. I also didn't qualify for alot.
tyler99199 11-29-2006, 7:45 AM I also keep a separate folder for completed surveys. Here lately with testspin I been qualifying alot compared to normal. I have a little over 20.00 now and they owe me about 20.00 more . So as long as I get credited I have no problem with them.
Bonus_Eruptus 12-8-2006, 11:21 AM Got my first payout on Jan 1 this year, and so far I'm up to $240.00 with TestSpin.
MMOlha 12-8-2006, 12:05 PM I have zero balance with them. :( I never qualified for any surveys. :(
KBsDarling 12-8-2006, 1:40 PM and i was excited about being at 6.00$ now lol
judithra 12-8-2006, 6:52 PM I have been receiving alot of invites from test spin in the last two days and qualified, finished them and they said would receive credits in 4 weeks.. up until the last two days hardly ever got a invite and if I did, I didnt qualify.. so the last two last have been quite lucrative for me as far as the "promise" of credits. Ill reserve judgement until I see my account in 4 weeks..
judithra 12-8-2006, 6:55 PM Yes. This is why I keep records, or, at the very least, I save the survey invite until my account is credited. When too much time has passed I forward them the survey information and request payment that is due. The situation has always been quickly rectified.
After reading this, I followed your suggestion and created a seperate folder for survey invites that I am due payment on.. thanks for the advice..:)
chickynik 12-9-2006, 7:59 PM definitely keep track..they're a little sneaky:eyepoppin
1club.fm_angel 12-10-2006, 9:58 AM They are killing me with the IT surveys, I dont qualify for any of them. I've been getting so many surveys from them lately and only did 1 so far. And I can just see it now, I will have that $4 sitting there and can't do anything about it.
ashley1013 12-13-2006, 10:29 PM I have qualified for about 20+ surveys since Oct. and all I have is a measly 4 bucks. sheesh. Are these people slow or what! :yup:
KBsDarling 1-22-2007, 11:29 AM HOLY CRAPOLA!

ang625 1-22-2007, 11:35 AM congrats! kbsdarling! :D

judithra 1-22-2007, 11:39 AM I get alot of surveys from Testspin and I'm ready to cash out again, but thinking this time Ill let it accumulate some more..My rewards show up pretty regular, mostly $1 surveys, but now and then an $8 one..
Congrats KBs!!
Mommy2Four 1-22-2007, 12:33 PM I get A LOT invites but never qualify. :(

Just an FYI, you can only cash out in 10.00 increments. If you have 15.00 they will give you a 10.00 GC. 5.00 will remain in your account until you reach 10.00 again.

Thank you for the heads up mmm
zingerhil 1-22-2007, 3:33 PM I do receive quite a few surveys from them and actually qualify... I've taken 11 in the last 5 weeks. BUT they are extremely slow to credit for completed surveys. So far I've only been credited for 2 of those 11 surveys.
elen1233 1-22-2007, 3:55 PM i finished one last week for $8
I have been getting quite a few surveys from them the past month, but I have also been getting very fed up with them because I did not qualify for a single one they sent. Makes you wonder what you fill out those profiles for. Today I actually finished a $2.00 one.

i am still waiting to be credited for one from Oct. i sent them a email and they said it has not closed yet. it is also a 8.00 one so i try to wait patiently. actually they still owe me one from nov. also for i think 2.00.
lennon2004 1-22-2007, 10:37 PM I cashed out a few weeks ago.
I just got my 1st invite-says it's 30min and I have to take DD to b-ball. Being a newbie here, how long to I have to reply and what is a testspin acct? Don't laugh, I'm fumbling through all of this ty

Good questions. No one is laughing. It's hard to pinpoint how long a survey will be open, It just depends how many people respond, how quickly they respond, and whether they qualify. So, in short...Nobody knows! Sorry!
Your account......Every time you take a survey and you receive credit it is added to your account. You can click on your "bank" when you log in. There you will see the surveys you have completed and that you have received payment for. You won't see any if you have not received credit for any. When you reach 10.00 you will see a tab that flashes green. It says "Payout" click that and confirm you want your Amazon GC and they will send you an email with the Amazon code. The code will also be listed in your "bank"

They are way behind with mine too. They have never been this behind before.
Thanks mmm40-You're the best. I didn't qualify-maybe next time.
pastasalad 1-24-2007, 12:40 AM I cashed out with an $8 check from test spin(last month and me tiding up loose ends for the yr) maybe they have new rules now?? any survey I have taken with them says "IF" you qualify then to expect payment for that survey within 4-6 weeks so they can verify the survey......lately I have gotten a lot of Biz surveys...but I do know my cash out is set @<hidden> $8 maybe its different for others?

Cool. How long has it been 8? Mine has been 10 since I signed up.
What's everyone's cash out set to?

Mine is $10 also....
pastasalad 1-24-2007, 9:12 AM mmm40 I am not sure but I know my last cash out with them was for $8-I have to sub today but when I get home i will check my account there and see if it is at $10-maybe it was $10 all along and they messed up....stranger things have happened lol
have a great day everyone
kjegbert 1-24-2007, 12:13 PM Lots of invites but I don't qualify for many. I have $11 in my account, one for $8 and one for $3.
dragonfly79 1-29-2007, 12:55 PM I have only been a member of Test Spin for a few weeks. I go there a few times a day and have yet to see any surveys listed at all?
judithra 1-29-2007, 1:13 PM I have only been a member of Test Spin for a few weeks. I go there a few times a day and have yet to see any surveys listed at all?
I get several per week from them, but that has just started this month.. On the average I qualify for half of what they send..The surveys are emailed to me..When I joined in Oct 06, it took quite a while before I started receiving email invites not only from Testspin, but all of them..I have no problem with Testspin getting my credits, they show up anywhere from a few days to 2-3 weeks..Cashing out is pretty simple when you reach $10.. Just hang in there, they will start to come..
lilac100 1-29-2007, 3:52 PM I qualify for about 1 out of 10 of their surveys. They keep sending me to JD Power for auto surveys. Problem is I work for Toyota so I can't take them. I'm just about ready to give up on this one.
Their surveys were few and far between at first when I started with them around 10/05, but now I get tons! I have $34.00 in my account just since christmas. I know some surveys take longer than others to get credit for, such as the $8 electric and gas for your business surveys they do each year. I think that is because it is harder to find the number of qualified respondants that they need for some surveys. They cannot closed the survey until they have met their quotas and they can't give credit until the surveys are closed. But have patience, I got about $250 in Amazon certificates from them last year. If January is anything to compare to, I will do even better this year!
lennon2004 1-29-2007, 6:49 PM I've cashed out twice this month, surprisingly.
judithra 1-29-2007, 7:14 PM I've cashed out twice this month, surprisingly.
so have I and have 8 in my account again.. I consider TestSpin a very good company..yes some of their surveys are hard to qualify, but you receive quite a few in a weeks time to average out..
dragonfly79 1-31-2007, 10:48 AM I get several per week from them, but that has just started this month.. Thanks!!!! :fluffy: I actually got my first invite from them yesterday after posting , but of course didn't qualify....lol
caramel 1-31-2007, 11:19 AM Test Spin gets on my freaking nerves! The annoying thing is that I get emails from them about a new survey via my Blackberry so I immediately log on to take them. I spend 10-15 minutes answering questions only to be told that I did not qualify. The annoying part is that they ask you questions that seem like the actual survey. I think they like ripping people off. I have been with them for two months now and I have $0 in my balance. All it does is just fill up my BB inbox and get me in a bad mood!
lilac100 2-6-2007, 8:42 PM Ok I get probably 7 emails a day from them and I don't qualify for any of them. They ask my age and sex and throw me out. Man talk about discrimination. :cheesy: Hows a middle age women supposed to feel about that. LOL. Does anyone qualify for their surveys? Just wondering if it is just me. :gdparanoid:
Mommax2in2006 2-6-2007, 8:52 PM Yes I qualify for lots of there surveys and have made about 30$ with them so far, there are a lot I dont qualify for but some I do as well, :)
ShopperMom 2-6-2007, 8:59 PM I have qualified for some, but I get kicked out far more times than I actually get to finish.
It's not discrimination. It's market research. We all know going in we are qualified or disqualified based on our demographics. That's what this is all about. I do fairly well. Some people here do much better than I. I have earned a lot of Amazon GC's from them. I qualify for a lot. I am disqualified for more. It's just the way it is. You may find that right now it doesn't work well for you. If you stick with it you may find you have times when you qualify for a lot. All sites are like that. You might as well get used to it.
I spent about 25 minutes on one from Testspin today, then got to a page that had no "NEXT" button to continue the survey... I was stuck. Talk about frustrating (if it hadn't been for the $4 payout, I would have given up after the first 15 minutes). I emailed Testspin and sent a screen capture; I'm hoping they give me some sort of credit.
UPDATE:
I just heard back from TestSpin and they believe (because of how much time I spent on the survey) that I DID complete it. If my account is not credited in 4-6 weeks, they will credit me manually. I am very pleased!
lennon2004 2-6-2007, 9:26 PM I'm also not qualified for many, but I also qualify for enough that I was able to cash out twice last month, so I don't think they're that bad..
jarfur1982 2-6-2007, 9:32 PM I havent qualified for any yet either.
zingerhil 2-6-2007, 9:34 PM I qualify for almost every survey I am sent. They are one of my favorite sites! I've earned $32 since joining 2 1/2 months ago. I didn't really get anything for the first few weeks but now I am getting a survey every few days.

I have had this happen in the past. They responded pretty quickly and they paid me the full amount for the survey. Good Luck.
lilac100 2-6-2007, 10:02 PM I know I'm just frustrated. Like I said I got 7 emails today and put in age and sex and dqed. No biggie tomorrow I'm sure will be better. I just have a headache and everything annoys me when I have a headache.
judithra 2-6-2007, 11:51 PM They are one of my favorites, I get more testspin surveys in a weeks time than the others, usually qualify, didnt when I first joined, took about 3 months before they started coming pretty regular.. didn't qualify for many at first, and yes it did become frustrating, but be patient and hang in there..Ive cashed out for two Gc's already this month and waiting to cash out again.. I did a total of 4 yesterday and two today.. I thought it was my age and/or demographics, but it sure hasnt hurt me this month and I haven't gotten any younger nor moved lol..

OOOO Boy, do I understand. ;) Feel better! Hang in there. There are good times and bad.

Hang in there! I have been with them for about 2 years. Last year I made over $200 in amazon certificates! Just be patient!
vbamother 2-7-2007, 8:42 AM I know what you mean about Testspin...I gets lots of surveys from them and rarely do I qualify either. Haven't earned enough to get paid from them yet. It can be quite an ego buster, but I try not to let it get to me....now Pinecone is another thing altogether! I belonged to them for about a year and got about one survey per month...got paid for it, but never got any of the product tests. Then when they redid their system about a year ago, I reapplied like they emailed me to do, but have NEVER gotten another survey from them. I wrote them about it, and they replied, but still never sent another survey. Very weird. I could only guess this is because I am out of their age bracket (Haven't hit 50 yet, but I'm pushing pretty hard, lol.) My next door neighbor who is in her early twenties, still receives surveys from them, and gets product tests occasionally too.

Not 5 minutes after this post I got 3.00 one. :g_thumbri
mldepalma 2-7-2007, 10:24 AM I usually get a few of these a week, but I consider myself luck if I actually qualify for 1 every month or so. It is frustrating when I start answering questions and after 5 minutes or more find out that I don't qualify. I'd rather know up front - like after only putting in my age and sex or after the first 2 or 3 questions.... than have to go through lots of qualifying questions and waste that time. But I guess that is the nature of this business. (I just keep thinking that someday someone will want to hear my opinion.... ;) )

dragonfly79 2-7-2007, 10:59 AM How do you do a screen capture? Is any computer capable of doing this or do you have to have certain software?
And to stay on topic, I have yet to qualify with Test Spin.

To do a screen capture hit the print screen button (usually the key is PrtSc) and then open paint and hit edit and paste. That is how I do it. Some others do it another way.

I basically do the same thing... hit the PrtSc key, then open 'Notepad' and paste into that.
caramel 2-7-2007, 11:24 AM I have been with them since like October and have taken about 1000 surveys. How much money is in my "bank"? Zero dollars. Not that I sound bitter or anything............:tired:
bugsette 2-7-2007, 11:29 AM I get about 10-12 emails a week and probably qualify for 1-2.. I think I have made about 40.00 in the last 3-4 months
countrygal1961 2-7-2007, 11:55 AM I haven't gotten anything either. I don't qualify for their surveys. Hang in there a little while longer. I am going to wait awhile to see if it's worth it.
lilac100 2-7-2007, 4:13 PM I finally qualified for one a $2 study on refrigerators very cool.
I've been signed up with Testspin for about a month now and haven't received a survey yet. My sister signed around the same time as I did and she gets surveys all the time. I just keep thinking my time will come too!!
I've been with them for atleast 2 months and haven't had any surveys, lol. I double checked their site today. Weird....
Yes I double checked their site also and it let me log in so I know I registered the right way. I can't wait to start getting some surveys though!!

Cheri17 2-15-2007, 11:29 AM I never qualify for their surveys and it really @<hidden>@<hidden>&*%$#@<hidden>!!! that they wait until your into it for over 10 min and then tell you sorry you don't qualify! They should tell you after the first few questions not after the first few pages!!! Sorry had to vent about them.:(
stacytreto 3-13-2007, 10:04 AM They keep senting me 4 and 3 dollar surveys but I'm not quailfy for none of them...they say sometimes if ur over 26 u want quailfy
shay_n_sc 3-13-2007, 10:41 AM I think I have $19 in my account but it took me forever! They send me about 12 surveys a month and I may qualify for 1.
judithra 3-13-2007, 11:21 AM test spin is a favorite of mine, I have cashed out 4 times so far.. I usually get several surveys a weeks from them, yes some I don't qualify for, but it averages out.. Like I have stated in other threads, I dont do very well on some survey companies that others do well on.. or vice versa..I think it's a matter of luck of the draw on which ones you do good on, not sure..
slyandell 3-13-2007, 11:21 AM This is one of my best sites. I currently have 44 dollars and am waiting until it hits 50. I get a lot of technology surveys from them.
zingerhil 3-13-2007, 2:23 PM I just checked my account and I have $34 sitting in there, woot! I joined in November and it was really slow at first, but I've been getting a lot more invitations lately.
judithra 3-13-2007, 11:17 PM Okay I just stated in my thread #137 how they were one of my favorites, I think I jinxed myself lol.. Is anyone else been having a problem with their surveys.. when you click on the survey url to start to take it, a page comes up, "your cookies are disabled" ( mine arent, never have been) says to set them on medium, ( mine are, have always been) anyway that doesnt work, still get the "your cookies are disabled page".. then they state if you cant enable your cookies your can take it thru an alternative "Sweepstakes" site ( mind you, the original surveys are $4-$6 paid surveys) and when you click on this suppose alternative, it turns out it is a Greenfield sponsered sweepstakes wtf???.. does anyone know what is going on or are having this same problem?? I have emailed testspin, but no response so far.. This just doesnt seem right to me..
Bobbylink 3-13-2007, 11:37 PM I am just as puzzled as anyone.I do not know what is going on with them.I get a lot of surveys from them but rarely qualify.

Yeah, I noticed this also, but only on my computer with an older OS. On my computer with XP, I don't encounter the cookie problem. Perhaps they upgraded to Vista on their end or the change in DST is messing up their system. Are you using XP or Vista, or something older on your computer? Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but I am not having cookie problems on my computer with XP. Good luck, hope you get it to work for you. :yup:

This has actually been happening to me for quite a while, but lately it's been happening a lot more frequently. It's irritating because I don't have as much access to the "good" computer so I end up missing out on a lot of surveys.
judithra 3-14-2007, 5:19 PM Well after tearing all my hair out trying to figure out why it shows my cookies are disabled, trying everything i could think of, I thought seeing this just happened Sunday, I would see if changing the time on my comp manually had anything to do with it, I did a system restore and lo and behold, that was my problem! I was able to complete the surveys with no problems what so ever..Ill just leave my time setting alone and let it switch over on its own to the old daylite savings time.. I appreciate all the help thanks Zingerhil and Boopy..

Judith, your computer will never "set itself" because DS is never going to be the same time of year as your computer is set to believe DS starts and ends. You need a "patch" Windows XP users were updated with it automatically. Provided they have their computer set to auto update. It's pretty simple to do. I know where to find a couple of links for the patch if you want them

sometimes it does take four to 6 weeks before your credits show, they wait till all the survey results are verified by the company.. dont get discouraged..
moonbeam 4-3-2007, 4:56 PM I get tons of invites from test spin and only do a few here and there because they are always so long. Anyway, I did a survey for them for $ 1.00 and the exact same survey came from another company for $ 7.00. Big difference. I've had this happen with other companies before, but not for that much.

Yeah. This happens a lot. I have had ones that Test Spin pays a lot more than the other company. If they are paying us 5.00 - 10.00 per survey, can you imagine what they are being paid? That's why 45 minute surveys for two bucks tick me off. *sigh* I still do them though.
I do pretty well with Testspin... $10 in Feb, $20 in March. I have $4 in my account and am waiting to be credited for another $11. It is one of my favorite sites!
I also love that when you cash out, you get your Amazon codes almost immediately.

Wow !! That would really shock me to see them pay MORE. I wouldn't know how to act.
Same here, though, I keep doing them too !! ( I do well with them, but I still feel annoyed by their big one dollar payment , you know. )
Mommy2Four 4-24-2007, 2:02 PM Anyone notice they are doing a lot more draws lately?? I have had 4 in the last 3 days. I don't do them.

Yes I have noticed, I have had the same in the last few days..Little worried as I always have done really well with Test Spin.. I have cashed out twice a month on the dot, every month since Jan..I sure hope they aren't converting to drawings..

I've let it sit for HOURS trying to connect, and it won't. I don't have a problem accessing their surveys when they send them, I just can't get to the website. I really wanted to cash out, but I can't. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm. The only thing I can think is:
1) They just screwed up/the computer screwed up
2) Maybe you were credited for something you should not have been and because you cashed out they could not just revoke the credit.
Email them ASAP. The quicker you contact them the better chance they have to pinpoint the exact issue.
That is very strange... The good thing is that TestSpin has good customer service, so at least you are sure to hear back from them.

zingerhil 5-2-2007, 2:04 PM UPDATE: Just received this email.
Dear Member:
Due to a glitch in the system, members who completed the chewing gum survey
were credited $13.00 when the survey invitation stated the award was $1.00.
This error was corrected and we show that you were properly recredited for
this survey as 04/24/2007 $1.00 Gum Chewers Study.
However, because you were able to cash out with the extra $12.00 before the
error had been fixed, your account will reflect a negative balance until that
amount is made up for by doing further surveys.
We apologize for any confusion.
Thank you,
Customer Service

iceman1988 5-2-2007, 11:19 PM I just think this whole trend with $1 surveys scares the hell out of me
First G*******d, then Survey Spot, now Testspin.
Even GMI has dropped their DNQ to a measly 2 points.
What incentive is there for us to even bother building up the energy to click the spam button?

*sigh*
It's quite frustrating. I've only gotten one 2 pointer for a DNQ through GMI... hopefully that doesn't become the norm. :( It's gotten to a point where I'm passing up surveys if the pay is too low for how long it's going to take. I've been passing on almost all Lightspeed Panel surveys lately. 75 points for 20 minutes? I don't think so. I can find better things to do with my time.
Just went to cash out and found this:
NOTICE:
You may have noticed some system delays as we are in the process of moving our gift certificate database servers. We apologize for the inconvenience, but in order to safely move the data, we will be temporarily shutting down the bank service (only) and you will not be able to cash out during this process. You will still be able to take surveys and add money to your account during the move as this is handled at a separate location. We estimate the move will take only a couple of days, so please try back again later.
We appreciate your participation in our clients’ surveys and again apologize for any inconvenience.

jazzy442 5-10-2007, 9:36 AM I seen they were having some problems while they update some stuff. I went to check my balance yesterday because they still owe me over $20 from a few surveys dating back to January. Every time I email them they say they are all still opened. I did see it says I have $68 in my account when I should only have $34 not counting all the other ones I`m owed for that are not listed. Hopefully they will get everything fixed pretty quick so I can see what is wrong with my account.
judithra 5-10-2007, 9:57 AM Dear Member:
We are aware of the errors regarding cashing out and extra earnings in
many of
our members’ bank accounts. A glitch in our system somehow caused
many
accounts earnings to double in awards, so if you had $10 the glitch was
adding
another $10. Our programming department is working on the problem now
and
expect that everything will be cleared up by the end of the day
tomorrow. We
are very sorry for this inconvenience.
Thank you,
Customer Service

Awesome! Now I just need to get my account out of the negatives... (Post 164, 167, 168)
EDIT: So I just checked my account and it's not longer in the negatives, but not because they've credited surveys recently. Maybe I've lucked out and will start over at $0 again....
Meggers 5-11-2007, 12:50 PM I'll have to check this out. My sister makes quite a lot of money each month from participating in these...has everyone had good results?

Testspin is good for some, not good for others. It's that way it is with all sites. Some will do great with a site while others will do horrible. If you are new to surveys and research I recommend reading the Survey 101 thread and the thread that contains many links to survey sites. As it states in the survey 101 thread, read through all the pages here in the forum. You get out of it what you are willing to put into it. Most of the time. Good Luck to you!

It is already couple weeks this messege here. And I don't see any of the latest revards posted here. I am just wondering, how long it will take?
I don't do most of these - but check your e-mail. If you see one titled "Easy Food Study" paying $2.00 and qualify for it - it's worth your time. (Another question for the experienced users or the Moderators. I know there are some companies you are not supposed to talk about (I don't) - but in something like this - just a heads-up - how much can I say?)

Just don't violate the companies "non disclosure policy" Usually that means don't talk about the product. Don't post how to qualify or beat the system. Often, I will pop in and post a heads up, look for survey ZQX, it leads to a product testing. That's plenty of information without violating the non disclosure agreement and it doesn't tell people how to qualify. I am pretty strict about the no cheating thing. Some people get mad at me for it but I get many, many, Pm's thanking me for it and letting me know they like that our board is honest.
Good luck!

I'm truly thankful and appreciate the way you run our board Miranda, you have helped the biggest majority of us become proficent (sp its late and brain quit) at this.. Nobody should get upset about a strict policy about cheating, if they do, there are plenty other trash sites where they can cheat..but they really do a dis-service to the survey companies that rely on participants to give truthful honest opinions..We rely on the intregrity of you and this board..Thank you
Thanks Miranda. Honesty is much appreciated and I do not violate any company's policies. Juat wanted to make sure that a heads up was o.k. and wanted. I really appreciate this board and thanks everybody for the welcome.
msjodilynn 6-19-2007, 10:39 PM What in the heck is going on w/ Testspin... or is it just me???
I get tons of email invites, and then I complete (and actually qualify for) the surveys. but Testspin the website, after logging in, have absolutely no record of me ever taking the survey. and consequently no moolaaa for my time.
I've even tried logging into the site first to complete the surveys directly through them, but it says I have no surveys available, just sample ones, but in my email there are several of them including this http://www.testspin.com/goSurvey/i/210798013/170155/4419
Can anyone please clue me in... I'm still new (but getting better) at this!
Thanks so much!!! :)
LadyBugg1 6-19-2007, 10:57 PM I'm beginning to get a bit cross, but for a different reason -- I signed up two or three weeks ago, have had more invitations from them than from any other company -- but haven't qualified for a single, solitary one. They have the demographic information, what could be their problem? But, on, balance, this is less annoying than your problem, msjodilynn!

it can take several weeks for your money/ along with the surveys you completed to show up.. They are very, very slow to update, but they do pay when you finally get to cash out.. They do not post your completed surveys until they are closed and verified by whomever requested the research.. and yes it is difficult to qualify for them, but I have cashed out nine times so far, 6 times out of 10 I will not qualify, it takes a while, but they will show up , just keep doing the surveys, you will find some you will qualify for, just hang in there :gdflower3: it's a good company, just slowwwwwww lol

Does any one know when TS is going to start paying through paypal?
zingerhil 6-28-2007, 12:31 PM Does any one know when TS is going to start paying through paypal?
I'd like to know the same thing. I've been waiting to cash out because I'd rather get $ through PayPal than Amazon GCs.

same here, waiting to cash out..
jarerice 6-28-2007, 1:30 PM I have email them several times because my account is still not working. I have not heard anything from them.
I give up!
DramaQueenLucy 6-28-2007, 1:44 PM I e-mailed them because I am yet to be credited for 4 surveys I did 4-6 months ago and they sent me an e-mail saying that they can't confirm that I took them so they would not be paying me even when I sent them screen shots of the last page of each survey...I will not do anymore from them....:gdangry3: :curse:
zingerhil 6-28-2007, 2:56 PM You really do have to keep an eye on these guys to make sure that you are being properly credited. I realized today that there were 10 surveys they still owed me for that were completed more than a couple of months ago. I sent them an email and got a response within a few hours. They have credited me for everything that was missing.
cjs9473 6-28-2007, 3:22 PM I think they owe me credit for some surveys, also! Unfortunately, I did not keep records of what I have done for them, but I will from now on.

I learned the hard way, since then, I keep the original invite, the last 4 digits on each of the survey links is the reference number.. I also have a special folder in my email that says "TestSpin waiting" when they credited me, it refers to those four digits and I pull it as paid..without those 4 digits you cannot prove you are owed the credit.. Not sure but I think they count on participants not keeping the original survey invite showing those last 4 digits..

Dear Member:
Paypal will not be available until the process is setup through a third
party
redemption center/paypal. That process may take many months as it is
not
entirely in our control.
At this time TestSpin purchases $10.00 Gift Certificates from
Amazon.com in
bulk. This is our only award and only denomination, therefore, although
an
individual survey award may be $5.00, you must reach $10.00 before you
can
cash-out. When you reach $10.00, all you have to do is click on the
green
payout button on your MyHomepage and your gift certificate code will be
emailed to the email address we have on file for you.
Thank you,
Customer Service

I did too, sent them a detailed email showing the survey invite links, date, etc. and received credit the next day..I have made alot of money from Testspin, but normally they tend to be very slow in crediting your account..I have learned, again the hard way, very early on to keep detailed (very tedious & time consuming yes, but it pays off if you want to make sure you receive what you are due) records of ALL surveys that I complete from ALL companies..

I do something very similar. I use GMAIL, so I have a label "PENDING" and then a label for every survey site I've joined. After I complete a survey, I apply the label PENDING and the appropriate site label. Every couple of weeks I go through the PENDING file to see what I haven't received yet. It can be tedious and time consuming, but I've realized it's something I have to do if I want to be properly compensated for everything I complete!

LadyBugg1 6-29-2007, 1:09 PM I finally -- after at least 40 attempts -- qualified for one of their surveys yesterday, and was quite pleased. THEN I read all of your posts. Calling quits now seems to be a jolly good idea!
hwolf6330 6-29-2007, 1:35 PM I have been getting at least 3 or 4 a week. I hope I get paid for them.
LadyBugg1 6-30-2007, 10:06 AM So much for good resolutions ... there was a survey from Testspin in my in-box, and I went ahead with it. It turned out to be from Greenfield -- weird; isn't this whole thing becoming rather incestuous?
After I completed it, this message appeared:
Q: Why does it take so long to receive credit for the survey?
TestSpin must wait for the client to finish the survey (some take weeks). At that time the client gives us the IDs they captured from the link you clicked on in your link. It takes weeks because the client must go through the data manually to make sure that people haven't taken the survey more than once from the same computer -- or that people didn't race through the survey so quickly that they couldn't have read the questions -- or gave the same answers all the way through the survey just to get it done. These
verification procedures are in place, so our client collects valid data for analysis.

With my experience's with TS I have never had any problems I have received the credit for the surveys I have taken.Granted it does take 4 to 6 weeks to get the credit but I have always gotten mine. I have received over $120.00 worth amazon gc from them in the past 6 months.I just hoping they get the option for paypal up and running soon.

TestSpin has been one of my biggest money makers and I didn't have any problems with being credited until recently. They told me to be sure to clear my cookies before taking a survey so I'll have to be sure to start doing that. I too hope that they get PayPal up and running soon!
I have had 5 survey's since joining..this rocks!!
iceman1988 7-12-2007, 10:39 AM Great for you, arress
I get anywhere from 2 to 5 from Testspin every day
If I'm lucky, I qualify for 1 or 2
It's just that they take FOREVER to credit your account
But patience is always the key
Good luck :D
arress 7-12-2007, 12:04 PM Thanks so far its the only one offering anything to me other than Stanford so patience won't be a issue..I was DQ'd once but it was for a buck..I survived..lol
I had 8 surveys from TS today and qualified for 4 of them so it wasn't a bad for me with them. They are slow to credit your account but it's one of my favorite sites.
jazziatl911 7-12-2007, 11:13 PM i am feeling u becuz they give u like nothing and it takes a long time and I get a whole bunch of sweepstake offers
hwolf6330 7-19-2007, 10:26 AM I am starting to get credited for the surveys I did. I am not too worried now about getting paid for them. I going to let them accumulate for Christmas.
I cashed out yesterday for $150 in amazon gc from TS!
zingerhil 7-26-2007, 1:10 PM I've been getting a lot of invites lately, but haven't been qualifying for ANY of them. Very frustrating.

clayismyidol 7-27-2007, 10:49 AM Most of what I get are for sweepstakes so I don't even do those. I don't think I have any money built up on that site. :(
KBsDarling 7-27-2007, 1:06 PM just cahsed out for a 10$ amazon yesterday from them...2nd on this year but i am not always up on the ball about making sure i do every invite from them as I DNQ so often
slyandell 7-27-2007, 1:19 PM I am sitting on $136 dollars but waiting to see if they ever get the PayPal stuff working. I want to use for Xmas gifts but already have lots of Amazon GC
KBsDarling 7-27-2007, 3:37 PM good gravy you must be a test spin demographic dream! LOL Seems like 2/3 of the ones i get are IT studies for businesses of which I am not employed outside of the home nor if i was wouldn't be in the tech area...I have looked at my profile and no idea why i get them but...alas that is what they send me LOL
LadyBugg1 7-27-2007, 3:58 PM Thank you, KBsDarling! I'm getting the same kind of surveys from them. and thought it was something I'd said ... Isn't it irritating to look in your inbox, discover surveys paying real $$$ -- and then discover it's yet another IT thing from these people?

Yeah most of them are tech or travel related. I am a computer geek, own a small business and travel alot. And in between I do a few survey sites. Seems like these guys get a lot of the computer related ones.
bugsette 7-27-2007, 4:34 PM I'm doing the same waiting for payapl I think I have about 55.00
From what I read it's going to be a while before they get paypal up and running.. I love amazon gc I used what I cashed out for the other day to buy clothes lol
abailey82 9-10-2007, 11:29 PM I get several surveys from them DAILY, even the 5dollarstudy offers. I just dont *get* them (TestSpin)! I always qualify and complete all of their invites. It has said $1 in my account the past 2 months. I have been counting just to see if the "4-6 weeks" thing is really true. I still am at $1 and I am owed easily $200! I just sent an e-mail telling them I have kept track of all of my surveys for the past 2 months and have waited "4-6 weeks", now waited over 2 more weeks and no $. I hope they answer soon because I really could use the money! And I been a member since June with only $1 in my account .....

You aren't alone, I qualify and complete several surveys a week for testSpin and they piddle a $1.00 or $2.00 payment when they feel like it.. I have wrote to them numerous times with a copy of my survey numbers and amounts owe and all I get back from them is "they are still out in the field" Ive made quite a bit of money from them in the last year but I have to grit my teeth as it takes forever and a day to be credited, frankly I am getting tired of waiting close to 3 months for payment, but there isnt anything you can do about it, but grit your teeth and wait..
It's 4 - 6 weeks from The Date The Survey Closes. Not the date you complete it.
DramaQueenLucy 9-11-2007, 9:33 AM Be careful with Testspin I have had problems with getting them to pay....it usally takes about 3 months from the date I complete a survey give or take but there was a time that I had taken $20.00+ worth of surveys and still wasn't credited. I e-mailed them at Test Spin and they told me that they needed a copy of the original survey link that I took...luckily I had all but one saved in a folder I keep maked "waiting for payment" so I was able to send them all of the e-mails I had and got all my credit except that one.

Oh great! I havent kept track, just know they owe me quite a bit of $! I go through the screenshots and links with ZoomPanel all of the time. I hope Test Spin doesnt do this to me, or I will lose money with them. I guess you live and learn!
tiredmom214 10-10-2007, 3:58 PM I never qualify either. I do recieve alot of invites though.

Did you try emailing them? There was one survey I did ~4 months ago that I wasn't credited for and they took care of it once I emailed them.
iceman1988 10-18-2007, 10:43 AM Actually, TestSpin is pretty good at crediting your account if:
1. It's been at least 3 months
2. You have the original link [not just the survey #, but the link that came with the message]
Good luck
