View Full Version : Letter from a lawyer saying I inherited Millions of Dollars
Did anyone else get a letter from a lawyer in England saying that a man with my same last name died and had no one to leave his money to. It said that I would inherit the money. The lawyers name was Stephen Walker. I know it is too good to be true but it would be exciting!:eyepoppin

letter or email?
boudmel 9-16-2006, 10:52 AM It is a scam - if it came in the mail it is also mail fraud - you may want to take it to your local postoffice. You can also find more info about the scam by doing an internet search.

Wonder how you get on those lists? I have yet to receive something like this and would be quite happy if I never do. Although I really like medalian1's suggestion of asking for a $20 good faith advance. Hee hee, that'll get 'em.
Angtink28 10-19-2006, 12:04 PM Yes I did, I researched it because I have family in england. I got attorneys involved agaisnt him and I reported him to the feds for scams on line. report them too. They sent all sorts of stuff. Allot of people at my bank have been scammed. They did recieve the check for the money, after they sent a check for charges to leagally recieve the taxes and such. They got ripped off they took money out of their bank and everything. It was horrible,

tessvasicek 10-19-2006, 2:00 PM There's actually a site that is devoted to scammin the scammers. I can't vouch for its credibility, but some of it is hilarious to read.
The basic gist is that they play along with the scammers, saying that they'd be glad to help them with the money transfer or whatever the scammer has brought up, then they toy with them. One of the things they tend to do is ask for the scammer to send a photograph of themself holding a sign with some odd phrase on it to prove that they're who they saw they are.
The site is The 419 Eater (http://www.419eater.com), it's not safe for work due to some of the signs they have the scammers hold up in the pictures. :eyepoppin
Lizeth_83 10-20-2006, 11:56 AM I have gotten them too but u can tell right away that it's a scam. First of all i'm hispanic and i don't have any relatives in england lol.

Now that is funny!
Puglife 10-24-2006, 12:10 AM I was on a site the other day that they were scamming the scammers. People would pretend to be interested in something they were selling, say they had someone who owed them money, and they'd send a money order, if you could just pay the difference between what they owed YOU and what was left over..the money orders are fake and they really get alot of people that way :(
love2beurwifey 10-24-2006, 12:17 AM Never Heard Of It But More Than Likely Its A Scam Because If It Was That Much Money Involved They Would Have Showed Up On Your Door Step
