We were at Macy's on Labor Day and they already have all the Christmas trees and holiday decorations out for purchase?

Every year they just put items out earlier. It kinda wears you down b4 Christmas even gets here.
A store I was at the other day had 1 isle of Halloween 1 of TG and a whole section of Christmas and most were already on display

I'd love to BE one of those people. If only I weren't broke right now. lol

This doesn't surprise me though b/c there are people who look forward to Christmas all year and start preparing for it in the summer. There are even message boards dedicated to it. The stores wouldn't put out the products so early if people weren't buying them. So, somebody likes it. One of those somebodies is me! :D

Every store I have been in looking for Halloween decorations has Christmas out at least an isle of it. Walmart still doesn't have all thier Halloween decorations out but has an isle of Christmas up. Seems like some warped logic there ;).

I went to Wal-Mart tonight to purchase a patio table and chairs set that was on clearance. They are getting rid of all their summer stuff and some of the shelves in the back already have Christmas stuff on them! It was weird seeing summer and Christmas stuff in the same aisles!

I noticed that our WM and Big Lots has been getting the Christmas decorations ready. I'm really getting excited now, especially since our heat wave seems to be letting up now!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas trees, the lights, the decorations, the food and smells, the everything. When I saw this thread, I begged my husband to put a tree up early. We are normally a day after Thanksgiving decorating family. I'm sorry, I buy all of the decor and dh and dd put it up. He has agreed to put up 1 tree next month, without decor of course. We have 5 trees and if I could put them all up now, fully decorated, I would.

That is how it used to be. As soon as the Halloween stuff was marked down and moved out of the way the Christmas stuff would come out.

I consider myself a complete holiday junkie, and shop fro Christmas ornaments, decorations, and gifts ALL year, however I don't like seeing the displays out this early. It seems that by the time it actually gets here, I am tired of it. First of November would be great to me.

Sam's Club had some Xmas items out last month.

The few nights ago on TV there was a commercial with holiday type music and snowflakes falling. The first Publix holiday commercial. Not even October yet...

Man... what happened to haloween and thanksgiving? they all have gotten merged together. ha ha!. at target near my house, they had the halloween and christmas decorations in the same aisles. pretty soon, we will have santa bring a bag of pumpkins to carve the turkey...LOL.:cheesy:

IMHO I don't mind the stores getting their Christmas stock out early reason being, if it is something nice that I think that we will enjoy, I would rather buy it now, save it for 2 months and enjoy it---I don't have to go out and buy it later and I can beat the crowds to it.

I was at Pamida yesterday and there was 1 aisle of Halloween decor and 4 aisles of Christmas Decor. Before you know it there really will be Christmas in July.

I went shopping today and its still Halloween everywhere. No christmas stuff as yet. Im not ready for it this year. I start truly getting into the christmas spirit in November. (BF of course is year around though)

I have seen lots of stores starting Christmas already and at Walmart I have seen lots of overstock of toys being stored on tops of the aisles all over the store. There are toys everywhere!!

I am an absolute holiday freak but I still like them in order. I went to get some halloween stuff the other day and they had a whole big isle of Christmas stuff...it's just wrong cuz I had to tell myself a million times not to walk down that isle or I would leave with something lol! It's like waving dope at a junkie, cruel cruel world!
One thing I do look forward to is a preview of what I can get when they have the after holiday sales woohoo!

I work at a Walmart, we start getting Christmas stuff in before September. I remember the first year I worked there and saw a christmas tree in back in JULY...I groaned so loud, all my coworkers laughed at me.

As much as I LOVE Christmas, I really wish they wouldn't have the decorations out already. I'd even be OK if they would just wait until after Halloween. That's just me though.
