I'd love to BE one of those people. If only I weren't broke right now. lol This doesn't surprise me though b/c there are people who look forward to Christmas all year and start preparing for it in the summer. There are even message boards dedicated to it. The stores wouldn't put out the products so early if people weren't buying them. So, somebody likes it. One of those somebodies is me! :D smangham 9-9-2006, 4:54 PM I have even see people BUYING Christmas decorations within the last two weeks. Hello...I'm one of them....TJ Maxx had some Waterford ornaments for $16.99...regularly $45. Couldn't resist. I Love Christmas time!:holiday07 conj 9-9-2006, 5:34 PM went to big lots for halloween decorations... found much more Xmas than halloween... Aaron 9-9-2006, 6:02 PM I saw that Big Lots started putting out some stuff. ms_mckenna 9-9-2006, 7:40 PM Every store I have been in looking for Halloween decorations has Christmas out at least an isle of it. Walmart still doesn't have all thier Halloween decorations out but has an isle of Christmas up. Seems like some warped logic there ;). vonnyb 9-9-2006, 10:28 PM I am still so amazed at how early christmas decorations are put out, but it will be here before we know it. mitchandalisha 9-9-2006, 11:22 PM I went to Wal-Mart tonight to purchase a patio table and chairs set that was on clearance. They are getting rid of all their summer stuff and some of the shelves in the back already have Christmas stuff on them! It was weird seeing summer and Christmas stuff in the same aisles! Gporter34 9-10-2006, 1:27 AM I noticed that our WM and Big Lots has been getting the Christmas decorations ready. I'm really getting excited now, especially since our heat wave seems to be letting up now! ebony0421 9-10-2006, 1:57 AM I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas trees, the lights, the decorations, the food and smells, the everything. When I saw this thread, I begged my husband to put a tree up early. We are normally a day after Thanksgiving decorating family. I'm sorry, I buy all of the decor and dh and dd put it up. He has agreed to put up 1 tree next month, without decor of course. We have 5 trees and if I could put them all up now, fully decorated, I would. Melissa 9-10-2006, 10:03 AM That's why all the decorations are picked over by the time I'm ready to shop, because people have been pawing through them since September. cleverbffool 9-10-2006, 10:23 AM I am always looking for more ornaments, and decorations. BTW some stores start interspersing Christmas music around Sept 30. ~*~Jess~*~ Gporter34 9-10-2006, 2:03 PM I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas trees, the lights, the decorations, the food and smells, the everything. OMG this is way too early .. if anyone likes go ahead and delete.. ccarson1972 9-20-2006, 10:19 AM Personally I think that they should wait until at least after Halloween. That is how it used to be. As soon as the Halloween stuff was marked down and moved out of the way the Christmas stuff would come out. bugsette 9-20-2006, 10:19 AM I've seen Christmas at Walmart, Kohl's, Marcs, and Target abentley 9-20-2006, 10:20 AM I consider myself a complete holiday junkie, and shop fro Christmas ornaments, decorations, and gifts ALL year, however I don't like seeing the displays out this early. Of course I haven't been to the stores in several days. A tad early in my opinion. f1rstclass 9-23-2006, 10:18 PM IMHO I don't mind the stores getting their Christmas stock out early reason being, if it is something nice that I think that we will enjoy, I would rather buy it now, save it for 2 months and enjoy it---I don't have to go out and buy it later and I can beat the crowds to it. Turtle Mommy 9-24-2006, 2:27 PM I was just at our local Walmart and some of their stuff is out. They dont have halloween customes out yet but have some Christmas stuff out. f1rstclass 9-24-2006, 5:41 PM Went to KMart today. They have trees set up and decorated. I remember the first year I worked there and saw a christmas tree in back in JULY...I groaned so loud, all my coworkers laughed at me. copados1993 10-11-2006, 12:04 PM As much as I LOVE Christmas, I really wish they wouldn't have the decorations out already. I'd even be OK if they would just wait until after Halloween. That's just me though. elena_398 10-11-2006, 1:56 PM I was in Walmart today and they are starting to put out Christmas now. A whole aisle of cards are there right now and candles/scents Stowasser 10-11-2006, 2:11 PM Target and Walmart have it out (some) already, looked at the Christmas lights at Target..... |
