Has anyone heard anything about JCP having a door buster sale this Friday night and Sat. Morning. I was busy last night and heard something on the tv and before I could get in there the ad was off....

Does anyone know if you can order the JCP catalog to be delivered to your home online? Not items from the catalog, but the catalog itself?

I know you used to be able to. It has been years since I got one though.

I also seem to remember that you could buy the catalog online, I think they offer it during checkout. I'll go check and post back when I find something out.

I get them mailed to me free - but then, I've made orders from them within the last year. I know my mil gets cards mailed to her that allow her to pick them up from the store for free. I'm not sure why I get the actual catalog and she gets the cards for the free catalog though. :cheesy:

can you get doorbuster stuff if you shop online BF or are the special deals only in store?

Wow, I am so NOT impressed with their prices. I have seen alot of the items onsale or regular priced elsewhere for a lot less.

Well it looks like a typo to me, completly understandable considering all the stuff someone has to key in for these ad's. Glad it's not my job Im horrible at it.

Well nothing really of interest to me with this ad. Will look it over when I can see the scans to make sure. If this keeps up, I wont have to worry too much about not having enough money for BF. LOL

I really hope the deals get better.. so far I"m not real impressed with any of them. But then again, the Ads I really want to see havent been released yet. So am patiently waiting...

all the stores are doing terrible this year...not just JC Penneys. Even though the thrill of shopping BF is fun, I am not going to get out just so I can say I did if deals are this crappy.

The chocolate fondue fountain is a great price!! My mom has been wanting one for years. The worst part aboout Penney's here is that the dept. store is in the mall, and the home store is across town next door to BB, which you cannot get into on BF. I never know which store items like that will be. So, I'll probably pm it somewhere else, if I can.

I was VERY dissapointed with the JCPenney ad. I usually get a lot there on BF. I hope they at least have the snowglobes.

Given this info, and the fact that this year's ad doesn't really meet JCP standards, is it possible that this a faulty ad? I saw this list posted by a member before Brad actually posted it, but i can't remember where that thread is now. If this is really the JCP sales, then I am definitely not spending much time in that store on the 24th.

I purchased a chocolate fountain for my aunt and uncles 50th aniversary. Well the fountain worked unitl the reception started and then the motor quit. Chocolate went all over the table. Was not pretty. I took the fountain back and got a refund. (I did purchase it from Wally World).

I can tell you that if you buy the chocolate fountain at JCP that it's been tested for quality. (Not by myself)

Unless something really spectacular shows up in the ad scan that was missed here, I will probably just do what we've been doing for years. After Best Buy, we head across the street to the mall, my brother stops the car in front of the lower JC Penney entrace, puts the hazards on, runs in to get one of the snowglobes, comes back out and then lets me run in and get one, and then we're on our way. I've rarely purchased anything from JCP on BF.

if you are a jcpenny credit card member you are suppose to get one but not sure if you have to have ordered in past i have not order anything in a while and did not receive my catalogue or even a card to go pick one up and I usually do!

OK so I guess that was a fluke. It came up showing the Friday ad and when I just went back to the website it's the Wednesday ad again!

Does anyone know how crowded JCPenny is at the opening? I see some deals I would like to jump on... but I'm debating if I should go to Sears first or JCPenny first.

Got the snow globe. At 530am the store was empty.

Got there by 8 and there wasn't a snow globe in sight. I don't know if they didn't have any or if they went through them all that fast. Usually they are still passing them out at 10 or 11 and it was not unusually crowded, in fact the cashiers were talking about it being slower than they had planned for. I got an outfil for each of my grandchildren and some nice cozy pj's for me. I didn't feel the prices were much better than there other sales but most everything was on sale and they were well stocked.

I heard from other shoppers it was a mad house at the Aventura store (Miami). :(

Ours had plenty of snowglobes (made my mom happy) and even able to get the last PJ set and Mater 5T shirt for my son. :D

Mine had none! We were second in line. No globes, No GC, No nothing. Then when people started asking about the Ipod and a few other items and were told that the store we were at didnt have them..only the big Penneys did...I thought people were going to start killing the GM! :shock:
I ended up walking out with an electric blacket and jammies but nothing else.

They opened the door early, we were there a little before 5AM. I went in, got a snowglobe and a chocolate fountain and checked out and was in the car by 5:06AM. Went to Target then, later on I went back to JCP around 7:30 and they still had the snowglobes. Bought a few more things that time before leaving the area.

I got to JC Penney at 4:45AM and there was already lines forming outside (and probably inside the mall too). They opened at 5:00AM. I got a snow globe and walked straight to the trees. Got the letter off the one I wanted and went to pay. I was out of there in about 15 minutes. They were crazy busy yesterday morning.

I was very happy with JCP this year. I have been looking for a decent cuckoo clock for a while. We made it to the store around 4:45, the doors opened at 5. We grabbed our snow globes and went scurring for the clock. I thought a cuckoo clock seemed appropriate for the season. I was amazed that I was the only one wanting one...LOL They were such a great deal!
