EARLY BIRD AD ITEMS POSTED: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/Sales/Store/jcpenney
qbmomx2 10-19-2006, 8:40 AM Has anyone heard anything about JCP having a door buster sale this Friday night and Sat. Morning. I was busy last night and heard something on the tv and before I could get in there the ad was off....
Gator Pam 10-21-2006, 1:20 PM Does anyone know if you can order the JCP catalog to be delivered to your home online? Not items from the catalog, but the catalog itself?
Trish1298 10-21-2006, 1:40 PM I know you used to be able to. It has been years since I got one though.
comm402 10-22-2006, 7:02 AM I also seem to remember that you could buy the catalog online, I think they offer it during checkout. I'll go check and post back when I find something out.
comm402 10-22-2006, 7:06 AM Here is the link, there are multiple catalogs you can order and some of them are even free. Hope this helps :yup:

Gator Pam 10-22-2006, 10:24 AM Thanks!
delphernina 10-22-2006, 10:51 AM I get them mailed to me free - but then, I've made orders from them within the last year. I know my mil gets cards mailed to her that allow her to pick them up from the store for free. I'm not sure why I get the actual catalog and she gets the cards for the free catalog though. :cheesy:
tlm2121 11-2-2006, 5:41 PM can you get doorbuster stuff if you shop online BF or are the special deals only in store?
sky_scraper123 11-7-2006, 6:01 AM I see the line items have been posted, will we have the ad for confirmation of this ?
Thank You !!!
wyntyrose 11-7-2006, 7:16 AM Wow, I am so NOT impressed with their prices. I have seen alot of the items onsale or regular priced elsewhere for a lot less.

Well it looks like a typo to me, completly understandable considering all the stuff someone has to key in for these ad's. Glad it's not my job Im horrible at it.
peachysquirt21 11-7-2006, 7:45 AM Well nothing really of interest to me with this ad. Will look it over when I can see the scans to make sure. If this keeps up, I wont have to worry too much about not having enough money for BF. LOL
dmmiller 11-7-2006, 7:48 AM I really hope the deals get better.. so far I"m not real impressed with any of them. But then again, the Ads I really want to see havent been released yet. So am patiently waiting...

:g_hello: I used to live in St Louis.
I thought it might have been something Brad added to see if someone swiped the ad and posted on another site claiming to have had the ad first.
krissy72 11-7-2006, 7:50 AM Ho Hum.

Does anyone know if they are giving away the mini-disney snowglobes again this year?
peachysquirt21 11-7-2006, 9:00 AM Does anyone know if they are giving away the mini-disney snowglobes again this year?
More then likely yes.
luv2shopnc 11-7-2006, 9:06 AM Not impressed with this years ad. Not on my top 3 unless they send me some coupons!
madnmas 11-7-2006, 9:23 AM all the stores are doing terrible this year...not just JC Penneys. Even though the thrill of shopping BF is fun, I am not going to get out just so I can say I did if deals are this crappy.
What would be the point?
g-man430 11-7-2006, 9:44 AM Yeah, except you haven't seen all of the adds yet including Wal-Mart's: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7680011&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat95100050044&id=1134703181778
amyers12345 11-7-2006, 9:46 AM The chocolate fondue fountain is a great price!! My mom has been wanting one for years. The worst part aboout Penney's here is that the dept. store is in the mall, and the home store is across town next door to BB, which you cannot get into on BF. I never know which store items like that will be. So, I'll probably pm it somewhere else, if I can.
These were in some catalog I looked at recently.
Awww, I want those now. LOL
g-man430 11-7-2006, 10:06 AM I want a mushmillow and iflop. I'm gonna get there at 9 pm and camp out just for these. :rotflol: If the stores are watching what we say on here then "Hey JCPenney, your add sucks."
cotinkandy1 11-7-2006, 10:14 AM Wow I really hope these adds get better than this!!! Maybe there saving the best for last! Patiently waiting for wal-mart.
tee red 11-7-2006, 10:16 AM Is there a scanned ad for JC Penny?
darkkan 11-7-2006, 12:25 PM I was VERY dissapointed with the JCPenney ad. I usually get a lot there on BF. I hope they at least have the snowglobes.
wjlambert4 11-7-2006, 2:31 PM REALLY disappointed in the BF ad. Won't be camping out there this year.
how come no clothing items on sale .... am i missing somethg here!!!
searched for several items online. The comforter sets are already the same price, and the slot machine bank is actually currently CHEAPER than it supposedly will be on Black Friday. What a flop.

:eyepoppin That is a flop.

Given this info, and the fact that this year's ad doesn't really meet JCP standards, is it possible that this a faulty ad? I saw this list posted by a member before Brad actually posted it, but i can't remember where that thread is now. If this is really the JCP sales, then I am definitely not spending much time in that store on the 24th.
emptynest-2 11-7-2006, 7:16 PM I purchased a chocolate fountain for my aunt and uncles 50th aniversary. Well the fountain worked unitl the reception started and then the motor quit. Chocolate went all over the table. Was not pretty. I took the fountain back and got a refund. (I did purchase it from Wally World).

I can tell you that if you buy the chocolate fountain at JCP that it's been tested for quality. (Not by myself)
MarkRaby 11-11-2006, 1:50 PM Unless something really spectacular shows up in the ad scan that was missed here, I will probably just do what we've been doing for years. After Best Buy, we head across the street to the mall, my brother stops the car in front of the lower JC Penney entrace, puts the hazards on, runs in to get one of the snowglobes, comes back out and then lets me run in and get one, and then we're on our way. I've rarely purchased anything from JCP on BF.
firestone71 11-11-2006, 3:00 PM I get them mailed to me free - but then, I've made orders from them within the last year. if you are a jcpenny credit card member you are suppose to get one but not sure if you have to have ordered in past i have not order anything in a while and did not receive my catalogue or even a card to go pick one up and I usually do!
kaykwilts 11-13-2006, 7:49 AM Has the ad scans been posted anywhere on the internet?
i wanna know where the   snowglobe is,lol
Secret Squirrel 11-20-2006, 2:49 PM FYI- direct from the horse's mouth just now on their answering machine for "hours for the week of November 20-25 are as follows..."
Open at 5pm on BF- not sure if this is a company-wide opening time
"...join us on Friday as we will be handing out mini Disney Snow Globes while they last..."
So they are doing it again. Cool.
peggbt 11-20-2006, 11:57 PM You know, I've scoured the ad with no mention of the snowglobe in sight. I'm hoping on Thankgiving day there will be something in the ad. Otherwise, no reason to get my annual pillows and an iflop when I can get them elsewhere for the same price.

comshopper 11-21-2006, 2:18 PM Anyone know of discounts for JC Penneys? I found a sectional sofa and lamps for retail price. Or does anyone know where to go online to find deals on sectionals and lamps? Thanks

marbles 11-21-2006, 6:42 PM BF week at JCP is Planned as 100M Week in the Home Division!!!!
marbles 11-21-2006, 6:44 PM JCP Has more Early Birds then ever before + the snowglobe
Secret Squirrel 11-22-2006, 4:33 PM decent sale supposedly going on today (Weds), too. I might pop in after work...keeping this silly chair warm til 5pm...
NewlyWard 11-22-2006, 8:17 PM Marbles,
Since you seem to know more about the ad can I assume that the one posted isn't all there is??? I've been looking for clothes for my son and they ALWAYS have that on sale. But not in the posting so far. Do you have more info???
bigsteelthrill 11-22-2006, 11:48 PM 90-Piece Flatware Set $48.88
Where can I see what this actually is or looks like? Could be plastic.
karina_anne 11-23-2006, 12:04 AM The JC Penny ad for BF is now up on their website.
karina_anne 11-23-2006, 12:07 AM OK so I guess that was a fluke. It came up showing the Friday ad and when I just went back to the website it's the Wednesday ad again!
hindupapi69 11-23-2006, 3:40 PM Does anyone know how crowded JCPenny is at the opening? I see some deals I would like to jump on... but I'm debating if I should go to Sears first or JCPenny first.
mom2thegirls 11-24-2006, 1:39 PM Got the snow globe. At 530am the store was empty.
cpg117 11-24-2006, 3:36 PM Got there by 8 and there wasn't a snow globe in sight. I don't know if they didn't have any or if they went through them all that fast. Usually they are still passing them out at 10 or 11 and it was not unusually crowded, in fact the cashiers were talking about it being slower than they had planned for. I got an outfil for each of my grandchildren and some nice cozy pj's for me. I didn't feel the prices were much better than there other sales but most everything was on sale and they were well stocked.
Annettecummings 11-24-2006, 3:47 PM I heard from other shoppers it was a mad house at the Aventura store (Miami). :(
musiang 11-24-2006, 3:49 PM Ours had plenty of snowglobes (made my mom happy) and even able to get the last PJ set and Mater 5T shirt for my son. :D
Jamy36823 11-25-2006, 5:56 AM Mine had none! We were second in line. No globes, No GC, No nothing. Then when people started asking about the Ipod and a few other items and were told that the store we were at didnt have them..only the big Penneys did...I thought people were going to start killing the GM!
I ended up walking out with an electric blacket and jammies but nothing else.
iteach1st 11-25-2006, 10:26 AM They opened the door early, we were there a little before 5AM. I went in, got a snowglobe and a chocolate fountain and checked out and was in the car by 5:06AM. Went to Target then, later on I went back to JCP around 7:30 and they still had the snowglobes. Bought a few more things that time before leaving the area.
jade6700 11-25-2006, 4:30 PM I got to JC Penney at 4:45AM and there was already lines forming outside (and probably inside the mall too). They opened at 5:00AM. I got a snow globe and walked straight to the trees. Got the letter off the one I wanted and went to pay. I was out of there in about 15 minutes. They were crazy busy yesterday morning.
willowlane 11-25-2006, 7:15 PM I was very happy with JCP this year. I have been looking for a decent cuckoo clock for a while. We made it to the store around 4:45, the doors opened at 5. We grabbed our snow globes and went scurring for the clock. I thought a cuckoo clock seemed appropriate for the season. I was amazed that I was the only one wanting one...LOL They were such a great deal!
