Can't wait. We got a bunch of great items last year.

I didn't go to menards last year because It looked like more candles and stuff like. They have been really good in the past. I hope they will have some great deals this year.

The deals last year at Menards were not as good as they have been in the past but I always find something there and then I am the one standing in line there with a list for everyone. Funny how I never need anything from Staples but they guys always want something from Menards. :) Oh well, I love BF and I am hoping it isn't as cold here this year as it was last year!!!

Marion, OH is getting a Menards..its supposed to open early next year!!!

The lines are crazy though aren't they? I am thinking one of us should get in line while the other two get the items needed. Maybe go ahead and scope out where they are set up as last year we had to have clerks go find things for us and the lines never seemed to move. Carts were scarce and items were too big to carry around so you have to be determined to get the job done! lol

I live in Indiana and our Menards here was very organized that morning. They had lots of stuff i needed, and the employees couldn't have been more helpful. Hope it goes the same this year, just not as cold. it was a bitter:gdmornincoffee: morning.

Where are you located in North Dakota. Last year wasn't too bad, still cold. In 2004 it was 30 below, I had to jump up and down just to keep my heart beating. This year I am really prepared, have a hat that covers my ears and face.

I will not step foot in this store this year! I went there last year. OMG it was worse then Walmart! The parking lot was full. There was one car that drover over the curb & just parked cause there was no parking spaces! I get into the store & thought what the heck am I doing in here. The lines were at leat to the middle part of the store if not longer & people had oodles of stuff. I said to heck with it & walked back out. LOL I just couldnt get over how nuts that store was.

I like Menards. They have some great doorbusters. The last 2 years my local Menards had longer checkout lines than any other store I was at including Best Buy.

There was only 2 things I wanted out of there sale ad last year. I wont bother this year cause I would have to get there early & that would take time away from me going to the other stores. I will pass. LOL

It depends on what they have. If they have some more of the blankets for $2.98 or the Lava lamps for $3.99 or the lamps for $4.99 I might go. I didn't go last year because nothing really jumped out at me from the ads.

We were in Bismarck shopping but mind you, I had just gotten back from my honeymoon in Maui 5 days before Black Friday. My blood thinned while I was there so it was really hard to come back to ND at the end of November at 9 days of 85* weather. I know it has been much colder here but I am just not ready for winter yet and for some reason it always gets colder 2 days or so before Black Friday.

Menards is always the first store I hit. The lines are horrible both in and out of the store. But the employees are so friendly and helpful! Last year our store had balloons where the door buster items were so you could find it easier. Last year I lucked out and was in line at 5:30 and out of the store by 6:15! I went all the way to the end cashiers and she had noone!

I went last year, and it was crazy. There was no where to park, and there were no carts. People were grabbing rolling trashcans to carry all of their stuff. The sale stuff was scattered throughout the store, and it was hard to find anything. They DID have a good supply of all of the sale items, I went later in the morning and I still got what I wanted. The lines were clear to the end of the store. I will have to say, however, that the attitute inside Menards was a LOT better than that is Wal Mart...the customers weren't pushy and most were smiling.

In my Menards, every cash register was open, and every line was all the to back of the store. Everyone was nice and friendly, though. I'd do it again for their doorbusters.

We didn't even bother with Mendard's last year. They had some good prices, but early in the morning there were cars parked all over the place in th ditch along side the road, in the grass outside the parking lot. Then later when it LOOKED less hectic outside we walked in the door saw the lines snaking halfway thru the store and turned back around. We did have a great time last year. It was DH's first Black Friday. We got the laptop from Wal-Mart!!! He was really charged up about that.

OK Where is Menard's Ad? That's what I want to know. If it doesn't come out here pretty soon I will go nuts!!!

Looking very forward to the Menards ad!!! Hopefully they'll have a bench grinder on sale for my husband. Ace Hardware has one but the Minot's Ace Hardware is far away from all the other stores so it would be an inconvenience to shop there. Last year standing in line for Menards they were handing out the sales flyers. That helped a lot of people and shows great customer service. Those living in ND, which store are you starting out at?

Oh My goodness wasn't it just. I do too, those were great. I went later to Menard's last year because I had other places, but when I got there they still had stuff.

I will probably be going to Walmart first, then maybe Menard's, it really depends. I will then head to the mall.

Ah-ha they're probably seeing what other retailors are putting out for sales and want to top it. Smart Idea....certainly hope so cuz I'm not impressed with a lot of these ads. But will shop just for the fun of it. We're sleeping in a suburban starting at 11pm to jump in line at Sears in Bismarck for the heck of it. Hope it wont be too cold....hoping for snow too that day.

I will be shopping in Minot, but I don't know, I hope Menard's ad is worth while, cuz these ads so far are not very appealing. I hope for snow on Thanksgiving, but the way the weather was last year, I think we had our winter.

MENARD's WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!!!!

They have a big stock of those twin size inflatable air mattresses with a sleepign bag type cover in boy and girl patterns so I bet this is one of the BF items. Didn't have time to look for anything else.

Most of the items Menards had last year ended up being in their ads later on in December too. Besides, I wasnt about to wait in line for 4 hours to buy $10 worth of merchandise.

Last year in Fort Dodge they where in the parking lot, the grassed area between the lot and street, and across the street in a competitors parking lot. Plus while we were in line out in the street waiting to park people were getting out of cars in front of us tired of waiting. By the time we got inside there were no carts so I used a wheeled hamper and no I didn`t buy it! lol . We stood in line for at least 45 minutes to check out!

my source also says there isn't anything special this year. just the same things like other stores, games, dvds, combo players, small lcd etc...

It made me angry, I was foolish enough to sit on the edge of my seat thinking they were going to give away a couple of items. Then once he gets trampled on the commercial is over.

Someone leak this before Thursday please! This way Ill know if I have to go Menards first or Best Buy or Circuit City!

I did get a flyer in with Menards purchase yesterday that said 5 hour specials Friday November 24th 6am to 11 am only, look for the balloons and save big plus take advante of our zero payments and no interest for six months on all purchases over $299 see store for details.

No they more than likely would not be available. Some Menard items are available online but not BF items.

I can't get the dang link to work at all - and I'm a computer guru - it wont open at all?

My Menards ran out of most of their doorbusters very early. I go there at 9:30 am (they were my 5th stop). Oh well, nothing that I wanted terribly bad. If there was, they would have been my first stop.

I got one of the flip top dvd players/screen. Am happy enough with that. Thought about getting the gps unit but passed.

I got to Menard's around 8AM and they were packed! But I managed to get the $13 MP3 player, several of the $2.49 FM radios, the GPX radio, a couple of non-advertised girl in-line skate combos normally $40, on clearance for $10 and some other items. I sent $130+. It was a great day!

I was in line at Menards when they opened. I got everything on my list including 7 of the MP3 players. I love Menards.
