When I clicked the link, it took me to the AAFES Home page. Do they already have the black friday ads on the website? Fort Bragg is a two hour drive, but they have 3 - 4 exchanges which would make it worth the drive.

No, the flyer won't be out until 3 weeks prior.... I spoke with our Manager last night. She hasn't seen the flyer either , but she had mentioned that the Plasmas and Computers would be a big Door Buster. More to come!!!

Last couple of years I've gone to the BX first on BF. I like the $20 GC they give away, plus the sales are pretty good. Last year I priced matched and I got what I wanted at the other store prices plus no tax!! It was great. I go all the days they offer the GC. You just can't beat it. I did get our Star Card bill today and it had on-line coupons inside. I'll have to make a point of getting the sales ad. Thanks for the heads up!

How can you sign up for the homedelivery of the Aafes flyer? I keep trying to figure this out (is it on the website?), but I can't find it. We went to Aafes last year on BF (it was one of our later stops) and still got some really good deals so depending on what they have this year it may be an earlier stop.

Not too late! You can sign up Black Friday and Take an extra 10% your first Purchase. Should come in handy!

Thanks. I also signed up. Pity it takes too long for the Black Friday coupons to arrive. I've seen the offer for home mailers, but didn't realize there was extra coupons inside. Now, of course, I could just kick myself for not signing up earlier. Once again thanks for the insight. ;)

I about caused an accident driving by ours, they have a HUGE banner hanging outside. I saw Black Friday and hit the brakes. Bad thing to do at lunch time on a pay day near the exchange complex.

Walmart doesn't have any locally either..hmmm. wonder if will be a BF knockdown price. Would love that to be true.

Our exchange here at Fort Drum has a HUGE sign advertising the BF sale, doors open at 6 am and 20 dollar g.c's for first 100 customers and .15 cents off gasoline and additional 10% off coupons for use that weekend. Didn't see an ad itself, but will be going there later and try and snag one.

Can you please post when you get the ad at Fort Drum? I'm an hour away, but my husband goes down daily and I want him to grab me one when they come out! Thanx!:smirk:

Has anyone ever had problems with the exchange honoring or not their sale sign prices?
I was there last Thursday and had a problem with the price an item rang up not being what the sale sign said, the assitant mgr said they would not honor the sign price as it was for a different item. Said it was for the small not the large, yet the sign just had the item name and the sale price. I know other stores would have just honored the price and then changed the signs to read correctly. Never have encountered that one before so was wondering if anyone else has had that problem, especially with BF coming I want to try and PM alot of stuff but not if it will be such a hassle. Ended up a gentleman agreed with me and he actually paid for the item. Crazy day to be sure.

After explaining my problem, I was put in touch with the regional Aafes Manager, he not only fixed the problem, but also gave me a 20% Coupon of any purchase.........Which I of course used on top of everything else on BF........they didn't like me very much.

It doesn't seem to be as good as past years sales. AAFES can do much better than that, I think. I know where I won't be on bf, but I will be there Saturday and Sunday if they give the $20 gift cards out again on both days. Thanks for the info.:)

Wow no camcorder :( No 1080p HDTV :( Ok the coupon up to $500 is that 10% off an item costing up to $500 or a savings up to $500. I want to use it on a BIG HDTV. THinking of using the Saturday 20% one if its a saving's up to $500. Thanks

In the past, on black friday, they made an announcement over the intercom stating all toys were an add'l amount off. Last year I think it was 20%. You had to be paying attention to what was said to hear, but once the word got out...it was easy pickins! I scored with the add'l off and the coupons and the gift card and the price matching and the tax free...it was GREAT! Even though the ad didn't offer much, Its still the first place I'm heading on Black Friday. :yup:

It's Military only. Its tax free and you have to present military ID

IMO the BX has never had much on BF. The best sales have always been in December and are more local and not in the flyers. Example: a couple of years ago when I was at Robbins in GA, one night they all toys 50% off and most winter coats 75% off. Over the years I've seen several one night sales that actually had bargains but never on BF.

I agree with you there, we had those midnight madness sales before with 75% off whatever the manager wanted to slap a sticker on........ I miss Ft. Riley.........lol

My BX is making the Wii and PS3 a BF item (sorta). Their holding a lottery drawing on the 25th. None will be sold on 17 and 19 Nov.

The BX here at Tinker AFB is doing the same thing. They are taking names for a lottery drawing to be held next Saturday. You don't have to be present at the draw to win as they will call to notify if you win and you have 7 days to purchase the system.

I hate to break it as it's not really fair that everyone can't shop there, but the NEX will have the 37" Westinghouse monitor (LVM-37W3) for $799 all weekend. I'd say that isn't a bad deal for a tv that on average ranges from $999 to $1600. Had I not just gotten a killer deal on an openbox at best buy that would be my #1 door prize for my christmas party.

i never heard of this brand but my aafes sales paper says this brand is specifically for the military. there's no infromation on the internet about the Sabre company.I stopped by the Andrews AFB BX this afternoon and their Sabre products were being pulled out of the box for their Black Friday display. There is a URL on the back of the 42" monitor for the company which is http://sabrece.com. There's no indication who is the real manufacturer but this looks to be the new "electronics house brand" for AAFES. The tag on the back of the monitor also says "Made In Korea".
