I did not go to here last yr. The one that near me, is always a mad house on BF. I might go this yr, if they have some good things on sale.

Best thing to do is order online. I was able to order last year on Thanksgiving day, saved lots of time, got everything in the size and color I wanted, and got all of the same prices as in store. Only thing you miss out on is the coupons they hand out (scratch offs I believe)

Last year my 12yr old son and I stood in line for over 3 hours to get some really great deals on BF, only to go back to the store late that evening to find they had replenished all the sale items and bought even more stuff for the same price. It was my first year to hit Old Navy on BF and will not go back till late at night for same sales, only shorter (very very short) lines.

I remember last year between thanksgiving and Xmas (i cant remember if it was BF or not...i think it was because i was stuck at work and mad i couldn't go out!) I went online and got the $5(or $10 i have a bad memory apparently!) fleece blankets, $10 pants for my B/F, Fleece jacket, $5 gloves and scarves too! and it was $5 shipping. :)

we start stuff and save november 1st, so if u dont got an old navy card yet, get one, everything you stuff in the bag(if u jus say ur bag ripped, they will just give you your whole order 20 percent off, not a bad deal. And about the 5 dollar jeans, its all about each individual store, on what they have left.

the 5 dollar jeans are going to be decided days before black friday, it all depends on what your store has left for jeans and what is willing to be given at a discounted price.

As much as I love Old Navy I am quite surprised to hear that folks would be killng each other to get in like they would at Wal Mart or BB.
Do they open early, too...say 5?:p
I would order on-line, but if I go it would be for me and I am not buying something I cannot try on.:p

i know we open at 6, it might be different among other old navy's. Lucky in Line, is just some promotion where if your in line you might get a coupon or jus picked randomly to save alot on your clothes, and 97 cent table can be anything actually, its just a table we put out full of items price killed to 97 cents so you dont have to go looking for it in clearence. Our last table just got wiped out yesterday. We had tees, polos, khakis, belts etc...

Question:
Old Navy is going to be my first stop just b/c I don't need anything elsewhere. I am going shopping for me....Now here is my question...will there be people camping out at Old Navy several hours before they open...or is that just for places like WM and BB? For example, if they open at 6...will I be cool to get there at 5:30?

That's horrible! Big Gulp or Amber do you have any other suggestions for things to put in a zip lock bag for the Lucky in Line game? I want to make sure I'm prepared! I just put some random items in a bag that I thought they might ask for but other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! My current bag contains:
The items you mentioned earlier:
Scissors
Q-tips
Papper Clip
(I don't have any toothpicks but will go pick one up!)
Things I currently have in my bag:
Tissues
Lip Balm (chapstick)
mints
tylenol
pen
map (I have meetings every few weeks in NYC and I still need a map to get around!)
take out menu (unfortunately I'm usually running all day so this is a life saver from fast food!)
cold medicine
matches
stamps
tootbrush
toothpaste (I always brush my teeth before meetings)
dental floss
hand sanatizer (NYC subway, enough said :)
Things I thought of:
band-aid
tweezers
contact case
measuring tape (keychain)
I hope those thoughts help you all get your bag together. I also love the idea of using the ziplock bag. Not only for easy access the game but also since I usually like to clean out my purse for BF shopping. That way I can move all of the things I would normally clean out for BF to the ziplock bag and just put it in my bag for shopping at Old Navy and then leave it in the car after! Plus it makes it easy to put all of those daily items back in my bag!
Any additional suggestions from those who have been to Old Navy on BF would be appreciated! :)

I was one of the Lucky in Line winners last year. I was the first in line to show an out-of-state drivers license. I think I won a coupon for a bigger discount when I checked out. It was fun, but the line was all the way around the store. It moved pretty quickly though.

I also work at Old Navy so as you do your shopping keep in mind her store might be the only store that is doing those specials. An extra 50% clearnace isnt ALWAYS at all stores especially when all Old Navys just got done have a week long extra 50% sale. This also goes for all the clearance tables she is talking about. I can tell you my store(Ohio) doesnt have that much clearance to be doing all that. The sale items that are on this site are true, we got our black friday ad last week. I know there will be additional items above and beyond whats in the ad already. Like always fleece is the major sellor and pajamas both for $10 like last year. Also good sale on sweaters and even winter coat!
i work there, and this is what we were told, all clearence will be an extra 50 percent off, plus coupons will be given out during the lines that could add up to an extra 20 percent on top of the 50, plus we will have at least 4 tables of 97 cent shirts, and rumor is we will have a rack of 5 dollar jeans

Can someone expand on the $5 jeans thing. Are they children's jeans or what?
work @ old navy and doubt this is true. i hardly doubt a pair of $32 jeans is going to be selling for $5.

I just checked the ad online and it says the blankets will be $5 each if 2 or more are purchased. Also, on the baby fleece pullovers and pants they will be $5 each if 2 or more are purchased. It might be worth my trip over there after all!

cool, thanks! I'm planning on getting there around 6:30 am. Is that considered kinda late on BF? What time do they do the Lucky In Line deals?
(Thanks for the tips about that by the way, I have a backpack filled with anything I could think of them asking for! :) )

I don't think any of those deals were good as far as the $10 items. Maybe anything fleece, but all those $10 Henley's and v neck shirts felt like they were made of paper. Most of their cheap stuff is cheap made and I hate to say that as much as I like Old Navy. Went there Thursday night and veery unimpressed with quality of sale items.
You get what you pay for sometimes.

These are actually really good, I picked some up for my son yesterday in store. He had some I bought earlier this year and wears them constantly. They still look and feel new.

Congrats, at least your store had SOMETHING. I was 2nd in line to get to my Old Navy store. They did not do Lucky in Line, hand out ANY type of additional savings, no further reductions on clearance, didn't even have all the sale items labeled, etc. Plus, the sales were really nothing special at all. As for the fleece throws, I really wanted to get some of those, UNTIL i actually saw them. Blinding colors and patterns... yikes!
