Source? It's very early for ads. They could still change it since they have over 3 months.

I can't imagine anyone having access to any of the ads, even employees.

I think someone is just pulling your chain. ;)

I went for the 12" bikes at Meijers last year and the line was huge and they ran out before a lot of people got them. Hopefully, this ad is true.

Just curious if anyone compared it to last year's ad?

I agree it is kind of early... and the source isn't very reliable... but I just thought I'd post it here... cause when BF approches, GottaDeal is the site I hang out at...

I got it on the forums from a site that I googled. (http://www.*********.com/blackfriday.html)

This was posted about 2 months ago as well. Probably too early to take it seriously just yet.

The info that is posted for ACE Hardware is accurate. The ads for the black friday have already been printed and the individual stores have these items ordered already. Employees could have access to this inof as all the ACE store owners have had the copy of the black friday ad on their desks months ago. If they have shared the ad with employees, or left the ad out in the open, the info is out there. I have seen the ad myself and have put the MP3 Player and the Video Camera on my Christmas Wish List this year. At least two of my kids will be receiving the bikes.

I would advise being there early as it's up to the individual owners as to how many of each item they order. The stores make no money on these promo items, so it's not to their advantage to order large quantities. Plus, the warehouse doesn't always have large quantities available either.

Hope this clears a few things up so you canstart planning early.

I can tell that ad listed is 110% true. bikes are very limited and they are offering the same dvd player portable but I think 10 buck cheaper...
Mp3 player is nice too 5 gig at 100 bucks is awesome.

also stanley hand tools after rebate 1.99.

consider this info a shingle, its on the house :)

I'm very weary of the idea of something being shown at this point. Still way early...

Well the ad merchandise was ordered back in June.
Do you think in October the stores start to plan the one day sale. I think not :eyepoppin

Someone that isn't on a corporate level would not have access to these.

I guess we'll all find out soon enough. After reading these posts, I'm more anxious to see the Ace ad than the Best Buy ad!

Yeah me to just to see if it is real or not.

If it's real though I won't be standing in line for anything I will be at either Staples or our new Best Buy, but hey thanks for the post anyway.

This is not good. For an ad to come out this early? NO!!!! Now, here I sit at work, thinking of the possible deals, and that BF is still 13 weeks and 2 days away! :((

Well if this ad is real lets see an ad scan.

darianwiccan
8-24-2006, 5:33 AM
There might not be an ad scan yet. I remember a lot of deals that were listed for last year, and ended up being true, we simply had to wait for someone to actually get their hands on the ad. Besides, even if these end up being fakes, there were only a few decent items in the list, and it's got us all thinking about BF.

I don't if it applies to this store, but I have a friend from HS who works for Menards (at their main office). I know that they already have the BF sales planned and the items ordered. This has been planned at least since June, because he mentioned he thought this was really early to start planning. I asked for insider-info, but he won't tell. :(

I used to work and Kmart and we only had access to the ads about a month in advanced.

An Office Depot employee on another site mentioned that OD will have the Olevia 32" LCD HDTV that was on sale last week for $699 as a doorbuster on Black Friday for $500. He posted no proof of this, just said that the info was based on inside knowledge.

If that is true, that is where I will be! If it doesn't involve a MIR. I despise MIR.

I am not sure about Ace or Menards or any of them. But I am pretty sure as this site becomes even more popular new members will be posting alot of info. But as stated I will not get my hopes up or question the validity of a new members comments. When administrators post something or I see an ad scan then I will begin to believe. Hopefully the people that are joining can provide some very good inside info. But IMO challenging there authenticity could cause them to leave this site thus taking some possible valid info with them as an "insider". Welcome new members and keep the info coming. :yup:
