i never do the polls. just the surveys that come to my inbox. and if you have a yahoo account . they might just end up in yr bulk folder. so keep checking that as well.:)

Shortness 7-19-2006, 2:49 PM Gosh, I'm not having so much luck with them. I got an email this morning for a survey and when I went to do it, it was closed--this seems to happen a lot to me. Maybe things will get better...
tinydancer34 7-19-2006, 3:14 PM I have had nothing but great experiences with this group. As far as surveys not being open, sometimes you have to act really quick as they fill up the slots quickly.
civicracinggirl7 7-19-2006, 4:22 PM I end up not qualifying for most of the surveys they send me, but it's not bad for the ones that I do qualify for. I cashed in the $10 PayPal recently as well, and it was also available by the next day or two, so you can't beat the payouts.
Shortness 7-19-2006, 5:00 PM I'll keep trying. I either don't qualify or I get there and it's closed. But, I do well on one that others don't. I spose it all works out...
I'm with them and its one of the ones i really like...They give me surveys often
Shortness 10-20-2006, 4:33 PM This sounds silly, but does anyone know how many points you have to cash out? I doubt I have enough at this point, but when I go to see how much things "cost" to cash out, it doesn't give how many points you need for each thing...
abailey10 10-20-2006, 5:00 PM I think it depends on what you want to purchase. A $5 Amazon e-certificate is 550 points, while a $10 PayPal credit is 1100.
The smallest reward is $5 e-certificate to dogs.com, that's 300 points.
If you look under Lightspeed Rewards Account and then click redeem, you'll see a listing of all the items you can redeem your points for.
TnDimples 10-20-2006, 5:29 PM I once got a survey for 1000 points. that was like $10 right there. they are very good survey place. I get surveys 3 or4 times a week.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
I did go into "redeem", but it didn't have a "price" next to each item, like a couple of other places do. I was afraid to click on one, since I was unsure of the points--didn't want to get something I really didn't want.

Wow! That's a lot of points for one survey. How cool! The most I've gotten is 100 or 200 points. I'll keep my fingers crossed for one like you got.
abailey10 10-20-2006, 8:52 PM Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

Understandable! Don't worry about clicking on the prizes to see what they're worth, your points won't be taken away until you click on a prize THEN hit redeem at the bottom of the page. The first redeem that you click on takes you to the prizes, the second takes away your points. An easy way to see what you can get for your points is to just click on the "ALL" link underneath shop by category, the prizes will be listed in order lowest point value to highest.
Have fun looking!

guadarrama 10-20-2006, 10:22 PM I have been looking for a great survey site. Love all the positive feedback for this one. just signed up and can't wait to get started. thanks so much for the posts.:D
Cinnamonhuskies 10-21-2006, 9:04 AM I quit answering their emails. I haven't made any money at all from them or Greenfield yet.
Only Pinecone, OTX, Viewpoint, and MySurvey have paid well.
civicracinggirl7 10-21-2006, 1:43 PM I hate that they require IE for almost all of their surveys now. I use my iBook, my PC is currently dead, and IE is no longer supported for my system, so I have to use someone else's PC to complete their surveys.
jarerice 11-11-2006, 5:41 PM I cashed out a $5.00 Amazon GC last week. How long does it take to get it. I have not gotten any emails, but when i pull up my account record, it shows i ordered it???
limabean718 11-11-2006, 6:07 PM I have actually cashed out with Lightspeed twice...both with Paypal ($20 and $25) and have received my money within two days. It's great! I have no worries with them paying so I'm sure you won't either. Good luck!
debwestmi 12-12-2006, 3:15 PM Hello, Anyone have any trouble with Lightspeed and Pay Pal? Usually this is credited in one day to my pay pal account. Other people I know have had creditsd issued the next day in the last month since I reddemed mine. Emails to them go un answered so if anyone has a way to contact them. Thanks:D
I had some problems requesting rewards through Lightspeed recently, and I finally figured out that it wouldn't let me redeem another reward until I entered in my phone number. Try that.
debwestmi 12-12-2006, 4:50 PM Hi, I redeemed it but it has not been recived and I can not get a reply from them. The paypal pays the next day and I dont know of anyone who has been waiting over month.
In my case, I had thought that I had redeemed the rewards too but I hadn't realized that it hadn't gone through. But then the points wouldn't be deducted from my account. I wrote to them and they were slow to respond. By the time they wrote back, I had realized what was going on. Try redeeming again and make sure it goes through. (Good luck)
debwestmi 12-12-2006, 7:14 PM Hi, it went through, the points are gone from my account and I got an email confirm.
How long did it take them to get back to you?
tburns29466 12-12-2006, 7:35 PM since i registered with them, i have got no surveys, been over 2 months:no:
cotejb 12-12-2006, 8:08 PM They send the paypal to the address you have registered through them so if that is not your paypal address too, that could be the problem....
I've had problems with getting my points...I did a household products thign and am still waiting on my 1000 points from over a month ago...I sent an email and never got a response either :(
How long did it take them to get back to you?
I'd say a week or so.
debwestmi 12-13-2006, 4:17 AM Theyve paid this pay pal account before too.Im going to try and find a phone number for them.
limabean718 12-13-2006, 8:47 AM Hang in there. I also did a household product test and it took what seemed forever to get those 1000 points credited, but they did eventually. You're right in that they don't respond to emails. I've never had a delay though in getting money credited to my paypal account and its always been there within a day or two of requesting it. Hopefully you'll be able to get this straightened out soon!
Shortness 12-13-2006, 6:39 PM So, did anyone else get the online 90 minute participation survey today? It was worth 2000 points. What I'm worried about, is the user id was already there, (I assumed it was mine, as the last 5 numbers matched), so I just put in the password, then they kept calling me "Faith". I hope that doesn't mean I logged in wrong and I won't get credit.
debwestmi 12-13-2006, 6:48 PM I did the interactive tonight ( my first!) and it had the wrong ID for me as well. I saw something pop up about many people reporting the wrong ideas but it went away before I could catch it.
As for Lspeed I am not happy I can not get a reply to my emails about my missing pay pal payment. You should get those the next day. From what I heard there was a problem becuase of so many people requesting a mont or so ago when I put mine in and those requesting $$$ now are getting it but my request seems to be falling on deaf ears.
debwestmi 12-13-2006, 6:53 PM Now I have heard from someone who actually got through to them via phone although it took forever they had "problems a month a go" and hated to be the bearer of bad news but the payments didnt go through and there was a waiting list to resolve it. WT??????? If it didnt go through and I have a confirmation they should resubmit! She was not given any info when it would be resolved!
Shortness 12-13-2006, 7:20 PM Well that's promising :( , especially after we spent all that time doing the interactive study. I sure hope they come through, as I don't get those "great" opportunities very often. It takes me forever to build up points with some companies.
debwestmi 1-12-2007, 2:20 PM Anyone having trouble with Perks not putting the money in the paypal? The last 2 times I have xcashed out with them ---no cash as promised. They say and it used to be that it would be there the next day. Last time it took over a month and many phone calls and emails.
This time its been a week and get get any response. Its getting frustrating!
zingerhil 1-12-2007, 2:22 PM That bites! I haven't had any issues with Lightspeed before. Hopefully everything gets worked out soon.
1club.fm_angel 1-12-2007, 6:47 PM Never had a problem. I actually cashed in 4 days ago and it was put in my paypal account the next day.
Is your lightspeed email the same as your paypal? B/c lightspeed sends it ot that email...I know of ppl having that problem before...
debwestmi 1-12-2007, 8:24 PM Yes, my paypal matches my email. It has something to do with perks.com. Interesting enough after posting this the $$$ showed up:yup: Must be good karma :)
For some reason some peoples show up the next day and there are others including me who waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait.

Shortness 3-15-2007, 10:05 PM Today, they had my dd13 fill out a couple surveys. One was about video games and Blockbuster. They asked her for our account number and phone number. I really wasn't happy with them asking for our account number. Especially asking my dd... Does anyone think that's going a bit too far? I just can't imagine why they would ask her for that.
judithra 3-15-2007, 10:28 PM Lightspeed is in my top 5.. It is so strange how some of us will have good luck with a few survey companies and others have bad dealings with them and the ones I have bad dealings/luck with, so many others have good luck.. I have always cashed out and been paid promptly by Lightspeed..I receive alot of invites for surveys and a couple product tests from them during a month and points add up quickly.. Ive cashed out 3 times since Jan and have $20 sitting there now..

Didnt they ask for your permission for your dd to take the surveys? and usually right at the end they ask for the parent to sit back down for the last couple of questions.. If they didnt and just asked your dd, yes it is going a bit far.. I would email them as they are out of line asking a 13 yr old for such pertinent info..

They notified me that they wanted her to take the survey, but they never mentioned she would ask her to give such identifying/personal information. I did email them and told them I thought it inappropriate that they asked that of my daughter. At the beginning they asked me some household questions, like race/income, etc., but they never told her to have me answer anything at the end.
I have had good luck with them with everything else, but I was just very disappointed that they would do something like that.
zingerhil 4-5-2007, 11:43 AM Has anyone else noticed a drastic drop in the number of points you are rewarded for surveys? I used to get 200-300 points for surveys that take 20 or so minutes, but lately they've only been offering 75.
debwestmi 4-7-2007, 12:48 PM Same here. 75 pts for 30 plus minutes. No thanks.

Well, I've noticed that I haven't gotten any surveys from them in over a month. I usually get at least a couple per month, but nothing lately.
judithra 4-10-2007, 3:10 PM wow I did a survey yesterday for 600 Points, at the end they asked if would be interested in doing a phone survey, of course i said yes, thought that was what the 600 points were for.. omg I just got a call for $100 paid phone survey!!!!:gd_purple :gd_not_ri :banana01:  couldnt have come at a better time.. and she told me the check would be sent out right after the survey:clapping:

tinydancer34 5-24-2007, 6:12 AM I've been with them for quite some time and I've had no problems cashing out. I've never waited until the $50 mark, though.
kselzer 5-24-2007, 8:15 AM how do you even get that many points??? mine just keep expiring!

abailey82 6-22-2007, 12:50 PM I am at LightSpeed now in my account and I do not see a Household Product survey - did they e-mail that one to you?
abailey82 yes that one was e-mailed to me.....:)
not sure if everyone can access that one or not but the survey # is 15351
abailey82 6-22-2007, 4:56 PM Thanks, I'll give it a try! :)
abailey82 8-25-2007, 1:52 AM Okay, did anyone else get a BeverageStudy? I passed Phase1 and made it to Phase2 :gdnum1: - anyone know what Im referring to and also qualify? :g_shrug: Its AWESOME! :yup: I would share more details but Im not sure if I can? If you got this invitation and complete Phase 1 its 1000 points, if you qualify for Phase 2 - TAKE it! I promise you will be REALLY happy if you make it to Phase 2. :g_thumbri I cant wait to start! :gd_orange I just cashed my 1000 points in for a $10 TJMaxx gift certificate (its 1100 points but I had the other 100 points already)!
Shortness 8-25-2007, 4:56 PM Has anyone else been getting a lot of surveys where you spend 10-20 minutes basically doing the survey (they are getting regular survey info), then they tell you you haven't qualified? I have gotten a handful of those lately, where I spend about as much time as they say it takes for the survey (going through different brands, etc), then they tell me it's a no-go. Usually, I know within 2-5 minutes if I don't qualify... I haven't had that with anyone else--but just the last month or so with Lightspeed. I've also noticed that a couple times they are asking me for bank information--where I bank, what cards I have, etc. I guess some don't mind answering those, but I do not think that much info is anyone's business...

I thought it was just me. I am going nuts with all the ones I take that turn out to be nothing. I hardly ever take them anymore because of that. It swear they are giving us the whole survey and just not wanting to credit us with points...
Mommy2Four 8-26-2007, 10:50 AM yes, happening to me too.
I don't seem to qualify for much lately which ticks me off since I need the Amazon points.
abailey82 8-26-2007, 4:36 PM I have had a couple of those
Shortness 8-26-2007, 6:28 PM I would contact them, but in the past when there has been a couple issues with payment or something, they never contacted me back, so I doubt it would matter. It does feel they are taking advantage of us.

Yes, I can't believe it it either. I never get in on good ones. I got the Palm yesterday. It is a gum, mint, and candy study. You record what you have for 3 weeks. You get paid 50 bucks in total for it. 10 of the 50 came with the package. You get the other 40 when you return your materials.
Hmmm, just realized you have already completed it. Did you ever get your check?
babyteddy 10-17-2007, 7:43 PM I just cashed out for the Paypal $10 after doing studies since 2005. I went through a spurt where they were emailing me so much that I didn't have time to do them. I just moved out and any extra money is great so I'm finding I'm not so aggravated by their emails anymore, lol.

I did the SAME exact study with LightSpeed, but it asked me to record Beverage consumption. I also got $10 up front, but have yet to hear if they've received the PalmPilot back or when my check is coming, any updates?! :tired: I logged in here to ask the same thing, thanks!
babyteddy 10-19-2007, 9:27 PM Got my Paypal reward in my email yesterday! I just got into surveying and I'm excited about getting money for relatively no time, lol.
abailey82 10-19-2007, 10:16 PM Congrats! :)
abailey82 10-26-2007, 3:39 PM I just wanted to update everyone on the Beverage Study that I participated in with the PalmPilot. I got a follow-up survey, which asked more in depth about my drinking preferences. Im hoping this is the last step before my check arrives! So, for all of those that participated in this too this is a heads up! ;)
abailey82 11-2-2007, 4:25 PM I got my $50 check today for the Beverage Study/PalmPilot logging! So, those that were commenting about it should get theirs soon, too! :D
bunkergb 11-2-2007, 9:15 PM Good to hear that. I just sent mine back on Monday and I have my fingers crossed the money will come before Christmas. How long did it take you to get yours?
abailey82 11-3-2007, 4:06 PM about a month after I completed the follow-up survey online
kselzer 11-6-2007, 12:26 PM Expiring??never knew points expired?? mine never do, did you email them and ask why? I have problems with a couple others with communication, but Lightspeed has always been right on for me..
Yeah they do. 365 of my points expired/ were forfeited  I just keep forgetting about this site so I don't accumulate a lot of points.
From their terms and conditions: "Any Lightspeed Points that are not redeemed within two (2) years after such Lightspeed Points were posted to Panelist's account will expire and no longer be valid."
wyldmama 11-7-2007, 3:01 PM BEWARE, I had a survey, first time in a very, very long time if ever, I have seen one for 1500 point from them, but I got one last night I think. It was a health study. I had spent about 40 minutes working on it and it said the study was closed and you can imagine how I felt. I wrote an email to Lauren, knowing it was in vain. So the moral to this story is, I didn't mail it but saved it to drafts and went back to lightspeed and tried to get back into the survey again, for some reason it let me back in and let me finish the survey. So if you have problems w/this survey, since it is so many points & not like the 5 points I usually get, try again.
macrophage 11-10-2007, 12:25 AM I got the rest $40 check for this survey today. Hope you did, too

babyteddy 11-16-2007, 9:43 PM Just cashed out for $5 Paypal. It's been just less than a month since the last time I cashed out and I completed 7 surveys in that time in order to cash out this time around. Not bad!

I received that invitation and I deleted it. I won't participate in anything like that.
judithra 7-24-2008, 9:55 AM I have a question, Up until June 4th, I had been receiving on a regular consistent basis, several invites a month and cashed out on a regular basis for the last 2 years. I have received absolutely nothing since then, no polls, etc. I was a few points away from redeeming them again. I have emailed them to no avail.. My question is, is anyone having the same problem or are you still receiving invites on a regular basis?:(
dmm2702 7-24-2008, 10:18 AM I still get invites but not as many as before
my2kidsmom 7-24-2008, 11:29 AM YES! I have been a member for a few years and usually got 3-4 survey's each month. I haven't gotten anything at all since MARCH! I also emailed and asked if there was a problem with my account. I did get a response and was told everything was fine. :(

I haven't heard from these people in months. Wonder what's up?
jonboy_nellie 7-24-2008, 1:42 PM I have still been getting some activity, actually finished a 1,000 pt study yesterday, which is the biggest by far I've ever done with light speed. So they are definitely still active.
sassercc 7-24-2008, 1:48 PM I still get a few a week from them and have actually been qualifying for more surveys these days. I think I am getting the same amount as usual.

if you ever want to sign up with a survey company, instead of replying to an email go directly to their site. I actually just got an email saying something about join lightspeed in one of my email accounts but didn't check it out because I already have an account, this makes me think it's a scam, I will forward the email to lightspeed and see what they say.
About being on the panel though, I have been having good luck with them, I've never seen a survey for less than 75 points, the norm is 150 points for me. I get surveys from them all the time and I just cashed out some points for paypal, I don't think you can get a check if anyone knows for sure please correct me.
I recieved the same email. It said I would get 500 points and then they sent me another one for 300 points. I went into the site with my favorites instead of their link andthere were no surveys. Like you said most of them are 75 points once in a while 150 It all sounds like a scam There is no way I would let anyone track my info!!! I don't know if it';s the same site or what What do you think?
eds4ko 10-26-2008, 4:32 PM I redeemed for 5 dollars paypal and usually i receive it in a couple of days but haven't receive anything yet. Also I did a 500 points survey with a 2,000 points followup and it did not even showed on my account. It was very long. I did a couple of surveys before also and it never showed on my account. I tried to email them couple of times but never heard anything from them? Does anybody have problems with them crediting points to your account? I really hate this:mad:
openyourmynd 10-26-2008, 7:15 PM I use to have great luck with this company but the past few months have gone down hill, I receive a decent amount of surveys, but then spend forever doing them and then being told I don't qualify...
I would try contacting them again, thats the most you can do....or go through survey police, I think you can file complaints through them,
mssheba 10-27-2008, 3:45 PM The same thing happened to me. I did the 500 point survey, then qualified to take the 2,000 point survey and completed it. However, I didn't receive the 2,500 point credit. I sent an email too but haven't heard anything back.

That has happened to me before. The first time Lauren was quick in taking care of it. This last time I haven't had any luck getting my points. I have started doing screen shots of the 1st page telling me the points. and the final page telling me I've completed the survey in case I have any more problems.
melillo3 10-30-2008, 7:04 PM Got a 'tech problems 'message from your link.
When I inquired about registering it said :
Thank you very much for your email and for your interest in the Lightspeed Consumer Panel.

Again, thank you very much for your interest.
eds4ko 10-31-2008, 1:27 PM I just want to make a followup, they finally credited my account for the 2500 points and sent me the 5 $ through paypal. Yeah I think it's a good idea to save a screenshot
calista 11-3-2008, 2:33 PM did one for 500 points this morning
Has anyone heard from them lately? Its been months and months for me and this really ticks me off.

I've still been hearing from them regularly. I'm getting an invite every week or so.

zingerhil 2-18-2009, 12:02 PM i get regular emails from them. more than i'd really like :)
Yeah, me too. And I haven't really been doing many of them because I find them to be too long and tedious for the amount of points being offered.
I guess Im too old for them anymore:g_think:
Yeah, so what happens to the points we've already earned! This sucks big time.
adamleavitt 2-19-2009, 2:59 PM What is you free email account you use
What is you free email account you use
hotmail
I haven't had any surveys from them in a while. I tried to log in and it said account not found. I've contacted them but so far no reply.
eazy_peazy 11-12-2009, 9:27 PM My lightspeed account has been quite active...never noticed a lull in activity, been with them for years.
Solomon960 11-14-2009, 5:54 PM I've been with Lightspeed for three years or so. The only crutch is that Lightspeed virtually never sends out invitations - one has to visit his/her account in order to learn what's available. There is never a shortage of invites when I do remember to log-in, however.
