Volunteers are sought for a study of chronic methamphetamine dependence and brain function. The study involves a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan and tests of concentration, memory, and problem solving.
To participate, you must be over 18 years old, have a recent history of methamphetamine dependence, currently be involved in a substance abuse treatment program, have not used any drugs or alcohol for 2-8 weeks, and have no metal objects in your body. Your participation will last for 2 days, for 4-6 hours each day.
This study is being conducted at the Portland VA Medical Center, 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Rd., Portland, OR 97239, but you do not need to be a veteran to participate.
Participants will be paid $100 and for further information, call 503-220-8262, extension 51197
