We are headed to Canada and Nova Scotia in Late July thru August. Driving the diesel passat....whew...long ride...with a 16 year old and 2 yr 4 month old....even longer....anyway,,, we are looking for good places to stay and eat for dinner....Breakfast and lunch will be packed in the cooler most days. Our first driving day will land us in either NY or Boston area. Second day we should be in Halifax.

We are also looking for good discounts on the ferry for our car and selves to Nova Scotia and back. Any tips on good websites for that? Thanks, Theresa

Yes that is one of the things I am looking at. However we have to take a ferry to Newfoundland so it may suck up too much money...
