We are a family of four and want to stay either beachfront or oceanview that is rather away from crowd.....possibly a condo. July or August. Any help would be appreciated.

Garden city beach is just south of Myrtle Beach.

Charleston is nice that time of year. Lots of beaches around that area.

If you don't want crowds, don't go to south myrtle.

North myrtle is better, but still more crowded than we like.

We usually go to Carolina Beach.

It depends on what you're looking for too.

If you like the shops, rides, nightlife, etc. Myrtle would be your best bet.

If you just want a quiet setting with beach and a pool, Carolina is for you.

If you choose Myrtle, Spring Made Beach is an excellent place to stay.

If you go with Carolina, I would just choose whatever is within your budget.

Just a couple miles from Carolina is Fort Fisher, with a large indoor aquarium.
That's about all there is to do at Carolina.
Myrtle is packed with much more.
