This came in my mail yesterday, in the Shop Wise flyer. Click on the attachment. It says, beginning May 7th, Vlassis will no longer be in the newspapers, but yet mailed to your homes!!!!!!

I just e-mailed the company about this and here is the response:

Thanks for your interest in Valassis.
The Valassis Co-op FSI is delivered via weekend newspapers. We are
unable to mail the Valassis Co-op FSI to you as it would violate the
contractual agreements we have with our customers.

I think this is the same company you are talking about, but I'm not positive.

Where was the flyer recieved??? (What state or town?)

In case you can't read the print at the bottom, it reads:

"Look forward to receiving the Valassis coupon book, filled with a wide variety of savings on top brands. It may not arrive in your newspaper anymore, so look here~~beginning the week of May 7th."

I know in my area, LOTS of companies are opting OUT of putting their ads in the newspaper (horrible customer service/circulation rates dropping/etc...) and the Shop Wise flyer is getting fatter and fatter by the week. Kroger and Food Lion have both opted OUT of putting their flyers in the newspapers recently, along with Eckerd......and now it looks like Valassis will be in this mailer instead of the paper come May 7th.

Our grocery store fliers are now come in the mail every week and are not in the newspaper any more.

Well if they get mailed HOW WOULD YOU GET ON THEIR LIST TO MAIL TO?

These shopwise mailers are sent to everyone........they are marked "Resident" with your address.........at least in my area it works that way.

That would really suck. I NEVER get the shopwise. I see it in the trash all the time. Same with the Daily Herald. a local paper that I never get, but other pitch it all the time.

I just found where to sign up for the shopwise stuff (or at least I think that's what it is)

After posting this to the ILGood Deal Loop the consensus is that this is a supplement and wont be as thick as the normal valassis. Cause apparently up north they get a small coupon insert midweek
