Saw a story on the local news last night.

Ralphs will now only double one of each coupon per transaction.

Called my store in Anaheim CA. They conformed that the new policy went in to effect last week.:cry2:

Guess I'm just gonna have to work harder to affor my "lavish lifestyle"! :rotflol:

At least thiers still some doubling. And if its per transaction, do 20 transactions.... :D That will get thier goat.

That sucks. Of course it won't affect 99% of people, only the "devils" (to use Best Buy's term for people like us :)). Around here they had double/triple coupons, but only if the doubled/tripled total is $1 or less. :(

I'd just keep going back in line again and having several transactions. If enough people did that they'd change their policy back.

And who did Best Buy call "devils"?

they also will only double up to a dollar. if you have more, it's face value. :(

it doesn't affect me that much, because i don't use 5 coupons per item (i usually don't have that many) but i had always been tempted to do so whenever i buy healthy choice frozen meals since each one comes with another set of coupons inside.

At least you guys have places that WILL double coupons! We have NOTHING like that down here! It stinks!

Good luck on the going multiple times. our meijers has grabbed myself and others at the door and made big scenes about not being allowed to do that. It will start slowly but as they catch on they will just be meaner and ruder. When meijers started it was ok to do two orders at once through line, then you could only do one but could go out to your car and come back in. Then you could go in each door once...now it is one order per day. They havent figured out a way yet to not let Dh and me or dad and me both do one per day but i know they will LOL I used to get upset and irrate and call corporate now its like a fun spy game trying to smuggle my coupons in LOL I have stopped being upset cause there is no use anymore

I think i laready know the next stage....Some meijers are already down to no more doubling so i figure its coming soon to a mejiers near me LOL Our town has a WM supercenter and a meijers. There is also a mom and pop that double 1 like coupon under 50 cents. If meijers stops they are going to find out that all the money they seem to think the couponers are "taking" from them the little mom and pop store would be more then willing to welcome

WOW! They really can stop you from going out to your car and coming back in & shopping again? They have nothing better to do than watch who's using coupons? You'd think they had worse things to watch out for. And how do they keep track if you pay with cash? Keep a different colored jacket in your car to switch. And I don't think that Walmart likes taking coupons at all.

Them having double coupons is one of the main reasons I go there often. I usually just go to the car and go back in another line. But this doesn't effect me too much.

That stinks! I'm leaving for Cali on Wednesday for a month and was saving my coupons just for double off. Out here NO one doubles or triples anymore. Oh well.:mad:

They have door greeters to watch who's shopping and that get the managers? Have you tried going different times of the day and different days and weekends? That's funny that a store would go to so much trouble, they're probably paying more to have people watch the doors than paying double for some coupons.

they all have door greeters and yeah i go in daily to do my one order so they recognize me. We dont live in a metropolis. There is maybe 1500 people in the whole town so if you see someone daily it is fairly easy to recognize them.

this is why i'm so glad i have three different ralphs on my way home from work.
