View Full Version : Looking for Pediasure coupons
CindyP71 3-7-2006, 2:44 PM Hey everyone, Does any one know where I can get some PediaSure coupons? I know if I call 800-227-5767 (Pediasure), they will send me 2 - $2.00 off coupons, but people on e-bay are selling $4.00 off coupons and I just don't where in the world they are getting them from. I've called Pediasure and they claim all they have to offer is the $2.00 ones and that I'd have to call them each and every month to get two of them mailed to me. My son is going thur about 3 cases a week so the 2 - $2.00 off coupons per month isn't making much of a difference in my pocket.
Pediasure is so darn expensive, you'd think they'd give us a break.
Thanks!!!
sneakers1234 3-7-2006, 3:44 PM Pediasure running free after purchase rebate. Bot it but my kid wont drink it.

Many of our children need extra calories for weight gain. Often we are advised to give them Pediasure, which can be very expensive. There is some help for families that cannot afford this. Also, Carnation Instant Breakfast can be made to mimic Pediasure by adding 8 oz of water instead of 12 to the measure for 12. Both products, evidently can be obtained more cheaply by using coupons issued by the manufacturer. The following information was posted to Cleft-talk:
If you would like to receive Pediasure coupons call 1-800-227-5767
Tell them it's for an infant under medical care and they will send coupons to you. Call every month for more they keep your name on file to get them.
Someone mentioned Carnation Instant breakfast: Call 1-800-782-7766 for coupons. They are more than happy to send them out.

Visit www.trypediasurefree.com for the rebate offer on a 6 pack of PediaSure any flavor(up to a $12.99 purchase). Purchase between 2/26/2006-3/26/2006
ask your pediatritian to write a perscription,,,MANY insurance companys cover it if you have one...i know it sounds odd...but it happens...some will even cover tylonol...sometimes the cheapefst policies(or for some people FREE) have so much more darn coverage
I work in primary care pediatrics and we get free samples all the
time, just ask your doctors office. The MD can also speak to the
Peidasure sales rep and ask him to send you extra coupons etc. It
is done all the time, also the insurance idea is a great one, many insurance
companies will cover it as long as your MD writes a " letter of medical
necissity" on a prescription pad. Give it a try and if they deny it be sure
to appeal it, most times the appeal goes to the insured party.
Good Luck
CindyP71 3-8-2006, 9:07 AM Thanks for the suggestions! I'll be sure to contact his doctor to see if he can write a prescription for it. I didn't even know that was possible. I just called Walgreens and they told me that she's never known an individual insurance company to cover the cost. She said the only ones she remembers are those that have State jobs and have insurance thru that. I will still give it a try tho.
Thanks!!
Rockfordmom 3-8-2006, 6:06 PM Ask your mother, MIL, neighbors, sisters, SIL... all to call in and get coupons for you for a month or two and then you can have a stock of coupons if they don't expire right away.
And ask if they will buy one and get their money back from the rebate, my MIL did it for me.
And thanks about the tip to call in & ask for coupons, that stuff is too expensive even for the generic versions. And also for the Carnation Instant Breakfast tip, I never would have thought that.

CindyP71 3-10-2006, 11:39 AM I cantacted the peds office and since my son is the only one on PediaSure, they will be giving me all the PediaSure they receive AND, they called their PediaSure rep and asked for some coupons and extra PediaSure so I'll be getting those as well.
I agree, the generic versions aren't very cheap, especially if you can get your hands on some coupons for the real thing.
Thanks!!!
willieandsusie 2-23-2008, 2:35 AM For anyone who has a doctor on their side with a child on pediasure and you are WIC eligable it is WIC approved in all 50 states if your doctor will state the necessity. :)
Hi, I'm new on this forum but hope that somebody can help me. My insurance company denied to pay for prescribe PEDIASURE. Does anybody have an example how to write the letter to appeal this deny.
Please PM me or just post a message.
clevermom2004 11-7-2008, 10:42 PM your doctor usually has to write insurance company, telling them why it is important. If your child will drink slimfast it has way more vitamins.
KrisChampagne 11-10-2008, 3:35 PM My son's sole nutrition source was Pediasure for the last 3 years. 4 cans a day got pretty expensive. He got Pediasure through WIC, which he qualified for because of disability. We were also able to get it through the state (again, due to the disability). In order for the private insurance to pay for it, your letter will have to include a Drs reasoning. Having a Dr right a letter for you would be helpfull. Why is Pediasure medically necessary? Getting that info conveyed to the insurance is most important. Is there something else that will do the job? Will your insurance pay for Peptamin or Kindercal? Find out if they won't pay for Pediasure, will they pay for an alternative?
I completely sympathize. Have you looked at the off-brands? I buy the Parent's Choice brand that is available at Wal-Mart, but there may be other off-brands available. I used to work in a pharmacy, and I will be the first one to tell you that the generics are just the same. I buy the vanilla flavor with fiber and add the chocolate flavor via NesQuik, since my boys seem to like the flavor better. I also agree that Pediasure should give us a break. My boys are both autistic, so getting them to eat with the texture issues that they have as a result is a challenge. I am also going to look into some possible programs or seeing if the doctor could prescribe it and get it covered by my insurance. I'll let you know if I have any luck.
The Parent's choice is still expensive, but it is about $3 cheaper than the name brand.:yup: I had not seen all these other posts until after I replied to the original one, so I have to say a big Thank You, to everyone for making all of this information available.:eyepoppin I was brought here by a simple internet search on Google. This was the second option to choose. The best information is always that which is shared between parents. I will definitely be trying some of the other options. Thank you, again, and I will be quick to share any new tips that I find. :)
